FaenoraVerse
FaenoraVerse is a blockchain gaming universe developed by Vancouver-based studio 2TG Entertainment and built natively on Solana. Its flagship title, To The Grave: The Hunters of Faenora, is a squad-based roguelite tactical RPG that blends pixel art aesthetics with turn-based positional combat and on-chain character ownership. A companion title, To The Grave: The Wildlands of Faenora, targets traditional gaming markets via Steam and provides the narrative foundation for the broader universe.
The core gameplay loop runs on a 3x3 positional grid in turn-based tactical battles, drawing from Final Fantasy Tactics, Ogre Battle, and Slay the Spire. Players assemble squads of up to six Mercenaries per run and manage resources through their $MCHY token balance: hiring, reviving (1,000 $MCHY), rerolling traits (250 $MCHY), and purchasing supplies at Moochkin's Pod all draw from the same wallet. When squads are wiped or players voluntarily exit through Escape Portals, progress is preserved for NFT characters while the roguelite encounter structure resets.
Two editions sit side by side. The Standard Edition ships as a conventional game on Steam with no blockchain elements. The FaenoraVerse Edition runs in-browser with full on-chain features, NFT wallet integration, and live token rewards. This dual-track approach lets FaenoraVerse reach conventional gaming audiences while building an on-chain economy on top.
Characters and Assets
Mercenaries are the primary player-owned NFT class—hybrid tokens on Solana that are playable in-game, visually customizable, and swappable back to $MCHY at any time. Class is assigned at mint, with promotion and class-change available through in-game progression. Villagers are a secondary NFT type with limited combat ability and rewards at one-quarter the Mercenary rate, offering a lower-cost entry point. Heroes—including the exclusive Alistair the Fell Knight character—sit at the top tier and are typically earned through competitive tournament performance via Golden Ticket redemption.
Presale entry started at a minimum of 50 USDC. Mercenary NFTs were priced at 120 USDC; any contribution beyond the character cost converted to $MCHY tokens. Buyers received a digital copy of the Standard Edition at launch, early access to Hunt Mode beta, and tier-scaled rewards including Nethershards (premium in-game currency), limited-edition cosmetics, Faenoran Council membership, and, at the highest contribution tiers, physical merchandise and a Hall of Legends monument.
Token Economy
The $MCHY (Moochy) token functions purely as a game utility token. The team explicitly disclaims investment characteristics and frames the presale as entertainment crowdfunding rather than a securities offering. The economy is designed as a closed loop: 90% of all $MCHY spent in-game returns to the player rewards pool, split as 50% to hunt-based combat rewards and 40% to sponsorship rewards earned by staking tokens with the in-game Financier role. The remaining 10% funds ongoing development. The project is self-funded with no external venture capital.
Team
2TG Entertainment was founded in 2023. Creative Lead Nathan Montgomery holds credits on Age of Empires IV and Warhammer 40,000. Mitch Lagran heads game development, Deshaun Baylock leads Web3 gamification, and Noah Petrides serves as Senior Game Engineer. Additional team members include Andres Silva, Saar Bodman, and Jamie Quiring.
Audits
No third-party smart contract audits have been publicly disclosed.
Solana Fit
FaenoraVerse uses Solana for NFT minting, character ownership, and all token transactions. The project has a formal partnership with Solana Mobile: Seeker device holders receive exclusive in-game perks and a 10% $MCHY airdrop bonus when purchasing a Mercenary with the SKR token, and the game is listed on the Solana dApp Store. Guild partners include Neo Tokyo, Superverse, and Beacons.GG. Sploot AI handles tournament content distribution.
Reported traction metrics include over 19,000 Steam wishlists, more than 7,000 alpha demo players logging tens of thousands of hours, and a live Alpha Hunt tournament with a 500,000 $MCHY prize pool across 250 players. The Steam release for Wildlands of Faenora was pushed beyond 2025 following a full backend and UI overhaul; the Hunters of Faenora Web3 alpha continues to run competitively.
