CiFarm is a social farming game that combines traditional farming mechanics with blockchain features, allowing players to farm crops, raise animals, steal from neighbors, and earn both in-game gold and USDC through NFT fruit deliveries.

CiFarm was a Farm-to-Earn blockchain game built to run inside Telegram, developed by StarCi Lab, a Vietnamese open-source team focused on decentralized application development across multiple blockchain platforms. The project aimed to combine the accessibility of Telegram mini-apps with the economic potential of on-chain asset ownership, presenting itself as the first multichain farm-to-earn game on Telegram with Solana as a primary target chain.
Gameplay and Core Mechanics
CiFarm's central loop revolved around four verbs: farm, help, visit, and steal. Players managed virtual farms where they grew crops and accumulated resources over time. The "steal" mechanic was an intentional design element rather than an exploit — players could visit other users' farms and take a portion of their unprotected harvest, creating an adversarial social dynamic meant to drive daily engagement and encourage players to actively tend their crops before rivals could claim them.
The developers described it as "simple and attractive gameplay," positioning the social competition as the core retention driver. Helping friends and visiting allied farms provided cooperative alternatives to the PvP stealing mechanic, giving players a choice between collaboration and competition.
Technical Architecture
The game was built across several interconnected components:
Game client: A Unity C# application delivering the primary player interface, with screenshot galleries showing crop-growing screens, a daily reward view, and an in-game shop.
Game server: Built using Go and the Nakama open-source game server framework, the backend supported both gRPC for request handling and WebSocket for real-time updates. Nakama handled user authentication, multiplayer session management, friends lists, and leaderboards. The server was designed as an off-chain layer intended to handle the fast, high-frequency interactions that would be impractical and expensive to settle on-chain directly.
Smart contracts: The project maintained smart contract repositories targeting multiple chains — Solana (Rust), EVM chains (Solidity), Aptos, and Algorand — reflecting the multichain ambitions.
CiWallet: A Telegram bot written in Python that let players create and manage blockchain wallets directly within Telegram, enabling in-chat token transfers and game interactions without requiring a separate wallet application.
Blockchain and Multichain Integration
CiFarm's Solana connection was intended to use Wormhole's cross-chain messaging infrastructure to allow assets and token balances to move between Solana and other supported networks. The team also referenced Polkadot mainnet integration in project documentation. This multichain approach positioned CiFarm in the broader trend of Telegram gaming ecosystems that sought to capture users across multiple blockchain communities rather than committing exclusively to one.
The smart contracts repository shows implementations across Algorand, Aptos, EVM, and Solana, suggesting the team was actively building for all four environments rather than treating Solana as the sole destination.
Team and Origins
StarCi Lab is the developing organization, identifiable on GitHub at github.com/starci-lab with a stated mission of building open-source decentralized application solutions. The team appears to be based in Vietnam. CiFarm was submitted to DoraHacks as a Solana grant candidate and was highlighted by Superteam Vietnam among notable projects during the Colosseum Breakout Hackathon in May 2025 — the largest crypto hackathon on record with over 10,000 participants and 1,412 final submissions. CiFarm did not place among the hackathon winners.
The DoraHacks submission noted the team was "actively seeking additional funding" at the time of submission, indicating the project had not achieved self-sustaining financing as of mid-2025.

No public audit documentation was found across the GitHub repositories or in search results. The project was in development and seeking funding when activity ceased, consistent with a pre-audit stage.
Current Status: Inactive
CiFarm appears to have ceased active development in early 2025. The last commits to both the game client and game server repositories on GitHub date to January 2025, with no subsequent activity visible. The official domain, cifarm.xyz, no longer resolves — DNS lookups for both www.cifarm.xyz and docs.cifarm.xyz return NXDOMAIN as of August 2026. The project's X/Twitter account (@CiFarmOnSol) shows no posts in the most recent observable window.
The project did not announce a shutdown, but the combination of an expired or abandoned domain, dormant social channels, and a frozen codebase indicates CiFarm did not advance to a public mainnet launch and is no longer actively maintained.
