About

Axiom

TLDR: Axiom is a browser-based Solana trading terminal that aggregates liquidity from Pump.fun, Raydium, and Moonshot into a single non-custodial interface built for speed and memecoin discovery. Backed by Y Combinator (Winter 2025), the platform reached $100 million in cumulative revenue faster than any company in YC's 20-year history. In February 2026, blockchain investigator ZachXBT published findings that Axiom partially confirmed: a senior employee had used internal dashboards to access private user wallet data without meaningful oversight.

Origins

Henry Zhang and Preston Ellis co-founded Axiom in 2024 and joined Y Combinator's Winter 2025 cohort with $500,000 in pre-seed funding as their only outside capital. Zhang had previously worked on generative AI at TikTok; Ellis interned at DoorDash. The platform launched as a web-based trading terminal targeting Solana memecoin traders who needed faster token discovery and execution than conventional DEX interfaces could offer. The pair described their goal as building a comprehensive, all-in-one platform that prioritizes speed and rewards active users.

Core Product

Axiom is a non-custodial browser application. Users connect an existing wallet (Phantom-compatible) or create an embedded wallet directly inside the platform; at no point does Axiom take custody of funds. Order execution routes through Jito bundles, producing sub-400-millisecond trade confirmations. The platform aggregates on-chain liquidity from Raydium, Pump.fun, and Moonshot, quoting users across those venues without requiring navigation to each exchange separately.

Token Discovery: Pulse

Pulse is Axiom's core token discovery feed. It surfaces early-stage Solana tokens organized into three tabs: New Pairs (recently created tokens), Final Stretch (tokens nearing the end of their Pump.fun bonding curve and approaching Raydium migration), and Migrated to Raydium (recently listed tokens, newest first). Fifteen filters allow traders to screen tokens by age, market cap, volume, liquidity, holder count, developer holdings, sniper percentage, insider percentage, top-10-holder concentration, bundle percentage, and other risk indicators. Trades can be placed directly from the Pulse feed through a Quick Buy button without navigating to a separate token page.

Trading Features

Beyond Pulse, the platform supports market orders, limit orders, instant trades, and migration actions — preset buy or sell instructions that execute automatically when a token migrates from a bonding curve to Raydium. A Convert function handles token-to-token swaps. Multi-wallet support lets traders manage multiple Solana addresses in a single session.

Wallet tracking enables monitoring of specified addresses and following their on-chain activity in real time. A Tweet Monitor surfaces token-related posts from X accounts the user follows. TradingView charts are embedded for technical analysis. Trader Scan allows users to analyze specific wallets' historical trading performance and patterns.

Perpetual Futures and Staking

Axiom integrates Hyperliquid's perpetuals infrastructure directly within the platform interface. Traders can open leveraged positions up to 50x using USDC as collateral, with deposits and withdrawals routed between Solana and Hyperliquid's settlement layer. Gains can be withdrawn back to Solana without leaving the platform.

A separate staking module offers two options: direct SOL validator staking at 0% commission, and liquid staking through axiSOL, which is built on the Solana Stake Pool Program. The axiSOL product charges a 5% fee on staking earnings and a 0.1% withdrawal fee on exits.

Fees and Rewards

Axiom's base platform fee is 1% per trade, applied to the swap amount. A seven-tier cashback system returns a portion of that fee in SOL. The tiers run from Wood (0.95% net fee, 0.05% cashback) through Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond up to Champion (0.75% net fee, 0.25% cashback). Tier advancement is based on cumulative trading volume — higher volume unlocks higher multipliers and larger cashback percentages.

In addition to the fee tiers, a points system accumulates across five channels: memecoin trading volume, Hyperliquid perps and spot trading, quest completions, referrals (structured as a three-tier network based on referred users' trading volume), and a weekly SOL rakeback based on fee contribution. As of mid-2026, no token has been officially confirmed; an early-2025 statement from the founders noted no current plans to issue a token, though the points structure is widely interpreted as pre-launch positioning.

Revenue and Market Position

Axiom reached $100 million in cumulative protocol revenue in approximately five months, setting the fastest revenue milestone in Y Combinator's 20-year history — surpassing AI coding tool Cursor. By mid-2025, the platform had generated over $390 million in cumulative protocol revenue and processed more than $15 billion in trading volume across 650,000 wallets. It ranked as the third most profitable DeFi protocol globally at that point. As of June 2026, Axiom held 44.6% category share among Solana trading terminals, with approximately $51.5 million in daily volume.

February 2026 Data Incident

On February 26, 2026, blockchain investigator ZachXBT published an investigation alleging that Broox Bauer, a senior business development employee at Axiom, used internal support tooling — described as a "God mode" dashboard — to access private user data since early 2025. The dashboard allegedly allowed non-engineering staff to look up any user's wallet address, view full transaction histories, see linked account data, and monitor wallets in real time. Evidence published included screenshots of the dashboard and an audio recording in which Bauer allegedly described a plan for a colleague to earn $200,000 by exploiting the same access. ZachXBT noted that directly proving insider trading from the on-chain record alone was difficult without access to Axiom's internal logs to review the timing of trades relative to data lookups.

Axiom confirmed that "some members of our team misused internal customer support tools to query users' wallets," revoked the relevant access, and stated the company would implement accountability measures. The incident drew broader criticism for the gap between Axiom's rapid user growth and its internal compliance infrastructure, with observers noting that business development staff should not have had unrestricted access to sensitive user data.
