'Birdeye Solana Q3 2026 Report: SOL Holders Up 20.5% to 8.38M as SOL Trading
Birdeye'
Birdeye published its Solana Q3 2026 report through its Birdeye Data unit on 24 September 2026, and its headline finding is that more wallets held SOL even as SOL trading slowed sharply. The number of wallets holding SOL grew 20.5% quarter-on-quarter to 8.38 million, while SOL's daily trading volume fell 43% from Q2, according to the key findings Birdeye Data posted on X. The report also shows a record quarter for card payments, more than 1 million cumulative tokenized stock holders and a $4.49 billion real-world asset market on Solana.
Birdeye published the full report as an X Article. The figures below come from the key findings Birdeye posted alongside it and from its follow-up posts; each is Birdeye's own measurement. Most of the data runs to 22 September, eight days before the quarter closes.
SOL holders rose 20.5% while SOL trading volume fell 43% in Q3 2026
SOL rose 54% in Q3 and closed 22 September at its highest level of the quarter, with a market cap of $69.9 billion, Birdeye Data reported. Over the same period, SOL's daily trading volume fell 43% from Q2 and the count of SOL-holding wallets rose 20.5% to 8.38 million. Birdeye summed up the quarter as "conviction growing on @solana across verticals."
The holder counts carry that argument across the report. In Birdeye's key findings, stablecoin holders on Solana grew twice as fast as stablecoin market cap, tokenized stock holders nearly quadrupled and bridged-asset holders rose for every asset named. A wallet is not a person, since one user can hold many wallets, but holder counts rising in every category Birdeye highlighted, in a quarter when SOL trading fell by almost half, fit Birdeye's reading of the quarter.
Solana card payment volume hit a record $262.7 million in Q3
Card payment volume on Solana reached $262.7 million in Q3 with the quarter still unfinished, Birdeye Data said, already 17.5% above Q2's full total. August was the strongest month on record at $106.2 million.
Stablecoins grew more slowly than their user base. Birdeye puts stablecoin market cap on Solana at $15.65 billion, up 8% in Q3, with holders up 16% to 13.07 million wallets. That market cap figure sits below the $17.3 billion all-time high that Solana's official account posted on 25 September, which we covered in our stablecoin supply report. Trackers count different sets of pegged assets and measure on different dates, so the totals differ.
Tokenized stock holders on Solana pass 1 million as the RWA market reaches $4.49 billion
Tokenized stocks on Solana passed 1 million cumulative holders on 23 September, Birdeye Data announced the day before the report. The report puts the Q3 increase at 269%, from 279,000. "Cumulative" means every wallet that has held a tokenized stock, so the figure measures reach rather than current holdings. It arrived three days after the tokenized equity holder record we reported on 20 September.
Birdeye Data values Solana's real-world asset (RWA) market at $4.49 billion. Tokenized treasuries remain the largest category at $1.58 billion, driven by BlackRock's BUIDL fund. In a follow-up post on 25 September, Birdeye Data said Solana RWAs grew five times year-over-year and 25% from Q2 to Q3, with tokenized stocks, commodities and treasuries all adding market cap and holders.
Trading in those assets is growing on decentralized exchanges too. Cumulative trading volume for tokenized stocks and commodities on Meteora MET$0.363+5.3% grew from $230,000 at the start of 2026 to more than $2.1 billion, Birdeye posted on 25 September using Birdeye Data figures.
Kamino RWA collateral, Solana lending supply, SOL ETF inflows and perps volume
Solana lending supply grew 25% in Q3 to $5.15 billion, Birdeye Data reported. On Kamino Finance KMNO$0.047+11.5%, RWA collateral rose 6% to $365 million, led by OnRe ONyc$1.150.0%'s ONyc, which grew 88% to $197 million. OnRe followed the quarter with a new liquidity engine for ONyc, which we covered on 26 September.
SOL ETFs added about $340 million in Q3, bringing cumulative net inflows to $1.47 billion, according to Birdeye Data. Money kept arriving after the report's 22 September cutoff: Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley said on 25 September that the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) drew more than $110 million that week, which we reported the same day.
Solana perpetual futures volume reached $431 billion year to date, up 48% year-over-year, and held its first-half pace in Q3, Birdeye Data said. Perpetual futures, or perps, are leveraged contracts with no expiry date.
Bridged BTC, WETH and ZEC holders on Solana in Q3
Holders of bridged BTC on Solana rose 42% in Q3 and WETH holders rose 22%, Birdeye Data reported. Bridged assets are tokens from other blockchains carried onto Solana by a bridge, so a holder can trade them in Solana apps without leaving the network.
Birdeye Data named ZEC, the Zcash privacy coin, the quarter's momentum leader, with holders on Solana up 588% to 109,000. The report's key findings do not say what drove it.
Our own token data shows when it happened. Holders of ZEC bridged to Solana by OmniBridge, the ZEC token Solana Compass tracks, went from about 17,000 on 30 June to about 115,000 on 22 September, and most of that gain came in September.
ZEC holders on Solana barely moved through July, then climbed from about 26,000 on 1 September to about 115,000 by 22 September.

Birdeye's H1 2026 Solana report was a trading story: DEX market share, tokenized equity volume and perps growth. The Q3 edition is mostly about holders. SOL trading cooled, and the counts of wallets holding SOL, stablecoins, tokenized stocks and bridged assets rose anyway. Card payments set records and RWAs kept compounding, two kinds of Solana activity that depend on people keeping an asset in the wallet for longer than a trade.
Several of these figures will move before 30 September. Card volume in particular was measured with the quarter unfinished, and ETF inflows have continued past the cutoff.
