Zebec Network
Zebec Network is a decentralized payment streaming and payroll infrastructure platform that replaces periodic paycheck disbursements with continuous, per-second money flows — letting employees watch their earnings accumulate in real time and spend them anywhere in the world via a crypto debit card.
How It Works
At its core, Zebec implements continuous settlement: employers deposit funds into smart contracts, and the protocol streams those funds to recipient wallets at a configurable per-second rate. Employers can pause, resume, or cancel a stream at any moment, and recipients can withdraw their accrued balance without waiting for a traditional pay cycle. This streaming model eliminates the float that conventional payroll processors hold for days or weeks.
The protocol launched on Solana in 2021, taking advantage of Solana's sub-second finality and low transaction costs to make per-second settlement economically viable. Zebec has since expanded to Ethereum, BNB Chain, NEAR, Arbitrum, Base, and Stellar, with an EVM-compatible Layer-3 chain — Nautilus Chain — purpose-built for high-throughput payment transactions.
On the banking-rail side, Zebec achieved ISO 20022 compliance and joined the Nacha Payments Innovation Alliance in December 2025, connecting its blockchain payment rails to the $85 trillion U.S. ACH network through a partnership with NatPay, which processes over $170 billion annually for 300,000+ ACH clients. The platform also integrated with the Federal Reserve's FedNow instant-payment network in late 2025.
Key Products
Zebec Payroll / WageLink is the flagship product, enabling enterprises to configure stablecoin salary streams — primarily USDC — for employees anywhere in the world. It supports cross-border remittances, early pay access, budgeting tools, and bill payments. The platform reports over $500 million in annual payroll volume, 250+ enterprise clients, and more than 50,000 monthly on- and off-chain users. In Q2 2026, Zebec Enterprise went live on Stellar, and AllUnity selected the platform to power Europe's first onchain government benefits program.
Zebec Card is a crypto debit card available in 138 countries, enabling users to spend streamed balances at traditional retail and online merchants. Launched in March 2025 in partnership with Mastercard and Visa, the card initially covered the UK and 26 European nations and has since expanded to additional markets. Cardholders earn up to 5% cashback in [[TOKEN:ZBCNpuD7YMXzTHB2fhGkGi78MNsHGLRXUhRewNRm9RU]]. The platform had issued over 65,000 cards by late 2024. Native tGBP (UK pound stablecoin) support was added in July 2026, allowing real-time GBP transfers and card spending for UK users.
Zebec Safe / Vaults provides multi-signature treasury management for DAOs, Web3 companies, and enterprises needing secure, auditable control over pooled digital assets.
ZePIN PoS Terminals are DePIN-based point-of-sale devices for merchants, enabling acceptance of real-time USDC and other stablecoin payments directly at the point of sale.
Zebec SuperApp is a Web3-native financial management application combining payment streaming, staking, card management, DeFi integrations, and — as of Q2 2026 — WLFI Markets by World Liberty Fi, bringing institutional-grade lending and liquidity to retail users. The SuperApp cleared regulatory review in Q2 2026 and was submitted to the Apple App Store and Google Play.
ZBCN Token
[[TOKEN:ZBCNpuD7YMXzTHB2fhGkGi78MNsHGLRXUhRewNRm9RU]] (ZBCN) is the native governance and utility token of Zebec Network. It migrated from the original ZBC token in March 2024 at a 1:10 ratio, coinciding with the rebrand from Zebec Protocol to Zebec Network. Total supply is 100 billion ZBCN, with final token unlocks completed in March 2026, after which the token operates under a fully deflationary framework with no new supply entering circulation.
ZBCN carries multiple utilities: employers can pay Zebec's payroll processing fees in ZBCN (or have fees auto-converted from stablecoin balances); stakers unlock enhanced SuperApp tiers, governance rights, and higher incentive levels; cardholders earn ZBCN cashback; and the token serves as collateral in supported DeFi lending integrations.
Governance operates through Zebec Improvement Proposals (ZIPs) using a hybrid on-chain/off-chain model, with voting periods of 24 hours to 7 days and simple majority passage. A buyback program, funded directly from product revenues, has grown at over 70% annualized rates since initiation in late 2023. As of Q2 2026, 15 billion ZBCN are staked and the token has over 100,000 holders.
Security and Audits
Zebec's smart contracts have been audited by CertiK, Halborn, Trail of Bits, and Bramah Systems. The project maintains an ongoing bug bounty program through Immunefi. Zebec is certified as a Circle Alliance member (May 2025), with USDC integrated as the default payroll stablecoin. ISO 20022 compliance and Nacha Payments Innovation Alliance membership (both achieved December 2025) add traditional-finance regulatory alignment to the protocol's security posture.
Team and History
Zebec was founded in 2021 by Sam Thapaliya, a serial entrepreneur and angel investor focused on Web3 infrastructure. Simon Babakhani (@simonb_ldn) serves as CEO and has led institutional business development, including Zebec's presence at XRP Las Vegas (main stage) and the Circle Alliance booth at Consensus Miami in 2025.
The project raised $6 million in a seed round led by Republic Capital in November 2021, followed by a $15 million Series A in January 2022 anchored by Solana Ventures, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Circle Ventures, Breyer Capital, and Alameda Research. A further $28 million came from token sales in 2023 ($21 million private, $7 million public). Zebec also operates Payroll Growth Partners (PGP), an investment arm that channels capital into traditional payroll companies.
In 2023, Zebec acquired Paybridge to expand its payment processing capabilities. The protocol rebranded from Zebec Protocol to Zebec Network in March 2024 to reflect the shift from a Solana-native payments contract to a multi-chain financial infrastructure layer.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
Solana was Zebec's founding chain and remains a core deployment target. Two programs are registered on Solana Mainnet — one still live and one with support ended — underscoring the platform's long-running presence in the ecosystem. Solana's high throughput, sub-second finality, and low per-transaction costs make it a natural fit for per-second payroll settlement, where the economic viability of micro-disbursements depends on keeping transaction overhead minimal. The platform's connection to Solana Ventures as a Series A backer further ties its trajectory to the broader Solana ecosystem, and USDC — deeply integrated into Solana's DeFi stack — serves as Zebec's primary payroll stablecoin.
