TRES Financial Data Lake (FDL)
TRES Financial Data Lake provides enterprise-grade data infrastructure that aggregates and normalizes financial data points from 200+ Web3 networks, exchanges, and custodians, enabling developers to power their digital asset products with curated, contextual blockchain data.
TRES Finance
TRES Finance is a crypto accounting and Web3 treasury management platform that consolidates financial data from hundreds of blockchain networks, exchanges, and custodians into audit-ready, compliance-grade reporting for organizations that manage digital assets at scale.
The Problem
Finance teams operating in Web3 face a structural problem that traditional accounting software cannot solve: their assets move across dozens of wallets, protocols, staking validators, and exchanges simultaneously, generating transaction records that live in incompatible formats across incompatible chains. Manual reconciliation using spreadsheets becomes untenable once an organization processes significant volume, and regulatory frameworks — particularly GAAP, IFRS, and emerging standards like MiCA — demand traceable, defensible audit trails. TRES Finance was built specifically to close this gap.
Core Mechanism
The platform ingests on-chain and off-chain data from a wide range of sources, normalizes it into a unified Financial Data Lake, and then applies automated categorization, cost basis calculation, and reconciliation logic to produce structured accounting entries. This architecture means a single accounting team can oversee multi-chain DeFi positions, staking rewards, validator commissions, exchange settlements, and banking transactions within one interface rather than cobbling together separate exports.
The reconciliation engine is designed to handle the ambiguity common in DeFi — liquidity pool rebalancing, wrapped token conversions, cross-chain bridging — and users report that the system correctly categorizes over 95% of transactions without manual intervention, even for complex protocol interactions.
Key Products and Features
TRES FinOS is the flagship accounting automation layer. It handles transaction tagging, valuation at historical prices, reconciliation, and the generation of journal entries suitable for import into enterprise ERP systems. It produces audit trails that satisfy SOC-level controls and enables teams to produce financial statements without reconstructing data from raw RPC calls or block explorers.
TRES Query is a Staking Data API and Financial Data Lake offering that allows other products and internal teams to consume curated, normalized financial data programmatically. It is positioned at infrastructure providers, exchanges, and custodians that need staking rewards and transaction data integrated into their own reporting workflows.
Proof-of-Funds handles wallet reconciliation at scale, supporting use cases where organizations need to verify customer or counterparty balances across millions of accounts — a requirement common for exchanges and institutional custodians.
Alerts Centre provides real-time monitoring integrated into daily accounting workflows, surfacing anomalies, threshold breaches, and reconciliation discrepancies as they occur rather than at month-end close.
TRES Analyst / Vera is the platform's AI assistant, purpose-built for digital asset finance operations. Vera can answer queries about portfolio positions, interpret transaction histories, apply accounting rules consistently across a conversation session, and automate recurring finance tasks via scheduled jobs. The AI Connect feature, announced in April 2026, allows teams to embed TRES's accounting intelligence into third-party AI tools including Claude and ChatGPT in under five minutes, enabling finance workflows to run inside familiar chat interfaces.
Supported Networks and Integrations
TRES Finance supports over 220 blockchain networks, with Solana among the explicitly supported chains. On Solana, the platform tracks wallet balances, full transaction histories, historical balance data, staking positions, daily staking rewards, and DeFi positions. This makes TRES a viable accounting solution for Solana-native organizations — validators, liquid staking protocols, DeFi treasuries, and institutions with SOL exposure — that need compliant treatment of staking yield and complex DeFi interactions.
Beyond on-chain data, the platform connects to over 25 major exchanges and over 10,000 bank connections, enabling a consolidated view of crypto and fiat positions. ERP integrations with NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Xero allow automated export of journal entries directly into an organization's existing accounting system of record.
Compliance and Security
TRES Finance holds SOC 1 and SOC 2 certifications, meaning its internal controls over financial reporting and operational security have been independently audited. The platform is positioned as a read-only data layer — it does not hold custody of assets or require signing permissions — which limits the attack surface relative to custody or execution platforms. The company has published guidance on MiCA compliance, IRS crypto accounting requirements, and GAAP/IFRS treatment of digital assets, positioning itself as a compliance partner rather than merely a data aggregator.
Background and Acquisition
TRES Finance was founded in 2022 by a team with roots in cybersecurity data infrastructure. The company raised backing from major venture capital firms and grew to process over $14 billion in monthly transaction volume across more than $20 billion in assets under management. Notable customers have included Alchemy, Starkware, LayerZero Labs, CoinFund, Nansen, Phantom, and publicly traded DeFi Development Corp (NASDAQ: DFDV).
On January 7, 2026, Fireblocks announced it would acquire TRES Finance for $130 million in cash and equity. Fireblocks, which secures more than $4 trillion in digital asset transfers annually, framed the acquisition as the foundation of a unified operating system for digital assets — combining Fireblocks' transaction execution and custody infrastructure with TRES's financial reporting and compliance layer. The deal marked the second acquisition in three months for Fireblocks, which had also purchased wallet infrastructure startup Dynamic for approximately $90 million in October 2025. TRES continues to operate as a product within the Fireblocks platform.
Fit Within Solana
For the Solana ecosystem, TRES Finance addresses a real institutional need: as more DAOs, foundations, validators, and liquid staking protocols face demands from investors, auditors, and regulators for properly structured financial statements, the absence of audit-ready accounting tooling has been a barrier to institutional adoption. TRES's Solana-specific data feeds — covering staking rewards, DeFi positions, and transaction history — combined with its ERP export capability, give Solana-native treasury operators a path to GAAP-compliant reporting without building custom data pipelines. The Fireblocks integration adds an additional dimension for institutions that already use Fireblocks as their custody and settlement layer and now want continuous financial reporting from the same vendor.
