Sobro

[[PROJECT:1927]] Sobro is a travel planning platform built on Solana. The Singapore-based project, which brands itself as "Travel Moneyless," gives users an AI engine that takes their travel preferences and budget as input and returns a complete trip itinerary — flights and hotel options included. On top of that booking layer, Sobro runs a bounty system that lets travelers earn money during trips and a networking feature that connects digital nomads with others nearby.

The project positions itself broadly: "building a world where travel, connection are seamless, rewarding, and truly global," according to the team's own public description. The working application is live at sobro.vercel.app.

AI Itinerary Engine

The core of the product is a conversational interface where users describe what they are looking for — destination type, activities, budget — and the platform responds with a structured itinerary. According to Sobro's own description, the engine generates "a personalized trip itinerary, complete with flights and hotel stays, all within your daily budget."

This covers the research and comparison work that normally requires toggling between multiple booking tools or spending time on price-tracking sites. A user sets a daily ceiling; the AI stays inside it and surfaces a coherent plan rather than a list of options to filter manually.

Alongside the generated itinerary path, Sobro also offers pre-assembled trip packages — "handcrafted trips for avid travelers" in the platform's language — for users who prefer a curated option over a custom build.

Bounty Model and Travel-to-Earn

A second track of the product is a bounty system. The platform describes it as a way of "completing bounties to earn some extra dollar bills," with the intent of letting travelers offset trip costs or supplement income while on the move. The full mechanics of what tasks qualify as bounties, how they are scoped, and at what rates they pay, are not yet publicly documented in depth beyond that framing.

The structure mirrors a broader pattern in the Solana ecosystem where on-chain participation carries direct economic incentives. For Sobro, this means travel itself becomes a potential income activity rather than purely a cost — a framing designed to appeal to the long-stay, income-while-moving segment of digital nomads.

Nomad Networking and Event Discovery

Sobro's third feature set is community-oriented. The platform has a geolocation-based matching feature that surfaces other Sobro users in the traveler's current location, with the aim of enabling spontaneous connections between nomads who might co-work, share transport, or meet socially. It also includes event discovery tools for finding activities and gatherings in a given destination.

The combination of itinerary generation, bounties, and community matching is intended to cover the main pain points of the nomadic lifestyle in one product: where to go, how to pay for it, and who to meet when there.

Solana Integration and x402

Sobro runs on Solana and has publicly flagged its integration of the x402 payment protocol. In a recent thread, the project stated that "x402 can revolutionalise how we imagine travel," framing the protocol as central to the direction of the product.

x402 is an internet-native payment protocol built on top of the HTTP 402 status code, developed by Coinbase's development platform. On Solana, it enables apps and AI agents to pay for API access, data, and services on a per-request basis, with settlement finalized on-chain in a single transaction. Since launching on Solana, x402 has processed over 35 million transactions and more than $10 million in volume, according to Solana's own documentation.

For a travel application, x402 creates a path toward bookings that require no payment card input, no checkout form, and no manual authorization step. An AI agent that can detect a suitable flight, authorize payment, and confirm the booking in one on-chain transaction would compress what is normally a multi-step process into a single action. Sobro's "bag your next adventure in seconds" framing maps directly onto that use case.

The project reports serving more than 15,000 travelers on Solana, citing this figure in its own public communications. The number is self-reported and has not been independently verified.

Team

The project's founder uses the handle "Timelord" and the X account @celixiron. Backers Stage Capital, a VC-focused event organizer, announced him as a speaker at the Founder X VC Summit in Singapore, where Sobro was described as the "companion for every modern traveler." The team is Singapore-based, with a presence in the regional Web3 ecosystem.

The project is active in 2026, with ongoing development updates posted publicly and integration work targeting the Solana x402 ecosystem as a near-term focus.
