Raise App
Raise App is a mobile and web platform that allows users to purchase gift cards for various brands and earn cashback rewards on their purchases. Users select a brand, enter their checkout amount, and receive a digital gift card sized to their total along with instant cashback credited to their account. The platform supports payment through multiple methods including credit cards, digital wallets, and cryptocurrency.
SmartCards
SmartCards are blockchain-native digital gift cards deployed on Solana that enable programmable features including expiration rules, geographic constraints, tiered rewards, and promotional unlocks. Users can transfer, split, and share card balances while merchants receive instant settlement in USDR with near-zero fees. The system uses cryptographic signatures for security and smart contracts for on-chain storage and enforcement.

Raise
Raise is a gift card marketplace and blockchain infrastructure platform founded in 2013 by George Bousis. Raise.com serves nearly 7 million users and has facilitated more than $5 billion in gift card transactions across over one million retail locations. The company operates two primary layers: a consumer marketplace app for buying and earning rewards on gift cards, and Raise Network, a blockchain layer built on Solana for on-chain gift card infrastructure.
In August 2024, Raise expanded its consumer app to support cryptocurrency payments through WalletConnect, letting users pay with USDC, USDT, ETH, DOT, BTC, or SOL through Coinbase, MetaMask, Phantom, and Trust wallets at over one million merchants. The B2B API v2, documented at docs.raise.com, enables businesses to embed gift card issuance and redemption covering 800 or more brands. A Web3 transaction endpoint supports on-chain payments with explicit Solana network integration.
In December 2025, Raise Network selected Solana as its infrastructure partner and launched SmartCards live on Solana mainnet. SmartCards are programmable on-chain gift cards governed by smart contracts that enforce expiration rules, geographic constraints, tiered rewards, and promotional unlocks. Cryptographic signatures prevent card draining, spoofing, and duplication attacks. Merchants receive USDR stablecoin settlement in near-real time. Wallet connectivity spans Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche, and Solana-native wallets. Brand partners include Nike, Airbnb, Uber, Best Buy, Darden, and CVS. The Solana Foundation provided development support for the launch.
Raise closed a $63 million strategic round in February 2025 led by Haun Ventures, bringing total funding to over $220 million; prior backers include Accel, PayPal, and NEA. Solana co-founder Raj Gokal invested as an angel. Board members added include Marco Santori (former CLO at Kraken and president of Blockchain.com), George Ruan (Honey co-founder), Matt Maloney (GrubHub founder), and Bjorn Wagner (CEO of Parity Technologies). The company also announced the Retail Alliance Foundation, a nonprofit to develop interoperable gift card network standards.
A $RAISE token is targeted for H1 2026 to support ecosystem scaling; no tokenomics details or audit reports have been published as of mid-2026. Raise occupies an unusual position in Solana: a proven retail commerce bridge with $5 billion in transaction history rather than a native DeFi protocol. SmartCard settlement on Solana routes mainstream retail spending through the network, and Phantom wallet integration gives SOL holders a direct path to spend tokens at over one million merchants via gift card redemption.
