Quppy

Quppy is a multi-currency digital wallet and neobank application built to unify cryptocurrency and fiat currency management in a single account interface. Developed by QUPPY EUROPE OÜ, an Estonian technology company, Quppy positions itself as a bridge between blockchain-based asset storage and traditional banking infrastructure — letting users hold, exchange, and move both crypto and fiat without switching between separate platforms.

The core proposition is eliminating the friction that normally exists when moving value between crypto wallets and bank accounts. A user can receive a SEPA transfer into their euro IBAN, convert part of it into Bitcoin, and send stablecoins to another wallet, all from one dashboard. Quppy does not hold client funds directly or operate as a regulated institution itself; instead it functions as a software and technology layer over a network of licensed financial partners that handle the regulated activities.

Products and Features

Digital Wallet. Quppy's non-custodial wallet supports Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), and Tron (TRX). The wallet uses HD (Hierarchical Deterministic) architecture, meaning each transaction generates a fresh receiving address derived from a single master key, limiting address-reuse risk. Private keys are stored on the user's device rather than on Quppy's servers, and wallet recovery uses a standard 12-word mnemonic phrase. According to the FAQ, Quppy states explicitly: "Private keys are kept only on users' devices."

IBAN Accounts. After completing identity verification, users can open virtual IBAN accounts denominated in euros or British pounds. These accounts support SEPA and SEPA Instant transfers within the EU, CHAPS and Faster Payments for UK-denominated accounts, and can be topped up via SWIFT for international wires. Quppy states that account opening typically completes in under ten minutes.

Crypto/Fiat Exchange. The platform allows in-app conversion between supported cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies. Users can purchase cryptocurrency directly using bank card payments and convert holdings back to euros or pounds for withdrawal.

AML Bot. Quppy operates a blockchain transaction risk-assessment tool that allows users to screen a wallet address or transaction hash before sending funds. The tool generates a risk profile based on the transaction history associated with an address, serving as a due-diligence step for users concerned about counterparty exposure.

B2B API and White-Label Solutions. Quppy offers API access for businesses integrating payment and wallet functionality into their own products, along with a white-label solution for fintech partners building on the Quppy stack. Merchant acquiring services are also listed among available offerings.

Mobile Top-Ups. Users can recharge mobile phone accounts in more than 140 countries using cryptocurrency or fiat balances held within the Quppy app.

Prepaid Bank Card. A prepaid card has been listed in Quppy's product roadmap, allowing users to spend crypto balances at point-of-sale, though this was listed as pre-order at the time of writing.

Regulatory Structure

Quppy's compliance architecture relies on licensed partner entities rather than a single regulated entity. Quppy is explicit that it is "not a bank or financial institution" and does not directly hold client deposits:

  • Payhound Limited (Malta) handles crypto-asset services as a MiCAR-compliant crypto-asset service provider authorized by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA).
  • 2PayApp Limited (Canada) manages fiat payment services as a Money Services Business registered with FINTRAC (registration M23468538).
  • Digital Lamp sp. z o.o. (Poland) is registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider within the EU (license 2401-CKRDST.4225.128.2023).

The operating entity, QUPPY EUROPE OÜ, is domiciled in Tallinn, Estonia. This structure means crypto-asset services fall under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) framework via the Malta entity, while fiat payment rails run through Canadian and other licensed providers.

In mid-2026, Quppy's blog has focused substantially on MiCA's practical implications for European crypto users — covering topics including USDT delisting in Europe, post-July 2026 crypto purchase regulations, and how to acquire digital assets legally within the EU. This editorial focus reflects how MiCA is actively reshaping product decisions for European fiat-crypto bridges.

Security

Quppy describes a security model with two tiers. The non-custodial "Save Wallet" stores private keys locally on the user's device, backed by standard 12-word recovery phrases and automatic address rotation after each transaction. The custodial account side — which powers the IBAN and exchange functionality — involves keys held by Quppy's licensed partner entities. The company states it conducts "periodic security audits," though no named external audit firm or published audit report has appeared in available public documentation.

The platform requires KYC/AML verification for IBAN account access, completed in approximately five minutes according to company materials. Independent wallet review platform WalletScrutiny notes that for the custodial account components, users depend on Quppy's operational integrity for fund safety, while the non-custodial wallet mode places that responsibility on the user through local key management.

Background

Quppy traces its origins to 2017, built by a team the company describes as having backgrounds in banking, financial services, and information security. The iOS application has been available on Apple's App Store and Android availability has remained continuous alongside a web interface. The app reached version 2.1.3 with an update in July 2025. As of mid-2026, the platform is actively maintained, with recent blog posts and ongoing product availability across iOS, Android, and web.

Fit on Solana Compass

Quppy's official website, wallet page, and FAQ list BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH, USDT, USDC, and TRX as supported assets; Solana (SOL) does not appear prominently in Quppy's current official documentation. Some third-party aggregators and earlier app-store descriptions have listed SOL among Quppy's supported cryptocurrencies, and no on-chain programs on the Solana network are associated with the project. Quppy is relevant to Solana-focused users primarily as a regulated European fiat on- and off-ramp: the IBAN accounts, SEPA access, and crypto/fiat conversion tools it provides are the kind of infrastructure that bridges Solana ecosystem participants to euro-denominated spending and banking rails.
