HPX

HPX is a multi-ecosystem Web3 wallet and crypto card platform that pairs on-chain self-custody with a managed off-chain account, letting users hold, trade, and stake assets across 50-plus networks and spend them at physical merchants in 176 countries via its HyperCard prepaid debit card.

Background and Rebrand

Originally launched in 2017 under the name HyperPay, the platform spent eight years building a multi-chain wallet before a comprehensive rebrand to HPX in July 2025. The rebrand updated all branding, domains, and app store listings with no interruption to user services. By that point, the platform served more than 3 million active users globally. CIPHERBC PTE. LTD. develops and operates the product.

Dual-Wallet Architecture

HPX runs two parallel wallet modes that serve different user preferences.

On-chain wallet (self-custody): Private keys are generated and stored locally on the user's device following BIP32, BIP39, BIP44, and BIP45 derivation standards. The wallet covers 30-plus mainnets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, TRON, EOS, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, and Fantom. Advanced users can import existing private keys or configure multi-signature co-management for shared custody arrangements.

Off-chain wallet (managed account): HPX holds custody of assets in this mode and uses that arrangement to unlock yield-generating features: staking, instant in-app swaps, crypto-backed collateral loans, and live portfolio tracking. The off-chain wallet covers 50-plus mainnets and 157-plus mainstream cryptocurrencies, offering broader asset support than the self-custody mode.

Both modes are available within a single mobile application on iOS and Android.

HyperCard: Crypto-to-Fiat Spending

HyperCard is the platform's flagship real-world spending product. Users fund the card by depositing supported cryptocurrencies including BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, and more than ten others, which are converted to USD or EUR at the time of deposit. The resulting fiat balance loads onto a prepaid card accepted at over 50 million merchants worldwide and at ATMs globally.

Geographic coverage spans 176 countries. Virtual card applications complete KYC within 12 hours; a single passport qualifies for one virtual and one physical card type. Physical card production takes one to two months. Conversion fees run approximately 3.6% for USD-denominated cards and 2.6% for EUR-denominated cards. HyperCard does not currently support Apple Pay, and cards do not earn cashback on purchases.

Supported Assets and Networks

HPX's asset coverage is one of its primary selling points:

  • On-chain self-custody: BTC, ETH, SOL, TRX, EOS, BNB, MATIC, AVAX, FTM, and 20-plus additional mainnets
  • Off-chain managed wallet: 157-plus mainstream coins across 50-plus mainnets including BTC, ETH, USDT, BNB, USDC, ADA, XRP, SOL, DOGE, and LINK
  • DApp browser: Supports decentralized applications on Ethereum, Solana, TRON, BNB Chain, Polygon, HECO, OEC, HSC, and other networks from within the app

Additional Platform Features

Beyond storage and the card product, HPX includes several integrated utilities:

  • Instant exchange: In-app asset swaps at competitive rates without leaving the platform
  • Collateral loans: Crypto-backed lending available through the off-chain wallet
  • Staking: Yield-generating options for supported proof-of-stake assets
  • NFT services: NFT management and marketplace access built into the app
  • Market tracking: Real-time price data and portfolio performance monitoring

In early 2026, HPX announced a partnership with Walle to add AI-powered automation to the wallet. The integration is designed to shift the wallet from passive storage toward active management, enabling users to set predefined strategies that execute automatically based on market conditions.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

Solana sits among the supported networks on both sides of HPX's dual-wallet system. The self-custody wallet allows direct management of SOL and Solana-based tokens with keys stored on-device. The DApp browser enables access to Solana DeFi protocols and NFT platforms without leaving the app. SOL is also accepted as a HyperCard deposit asset for crypto-to-fiat conversion. HPX's Solana support is part of a broad multi-chain strategy rather than a Solana-specific product focus.

Security and Audit Status

HPX has operated continuously since 2017 without a publicly reported major security breach. The self-custody wallet stores private keys locally and implements standard HD wallet derivation (BIP32/BIP39/BIP44/BIP45). Independent third-party security audit documentation was not identified in publicly available sources at the time of writing.

Team

HPX is built and operated by CIPHERBC PTE. LTD. Individual team members are not publicly named in available documentation. The company has maintained the platform through eight years of operation and a full product rebrand, accumulating a user base of more than 3 million across both wallet modes.
