Flipster
High-performance perpetuals trading with zero spreads and passive yield
On-chain activity
Flipster Perpetuals Trading
Flipster implements perpetual futures derivatives trading through professional market makers, enabling leveraged positions up to 100x on cryptocurrency pairs. The system processes orders through third-party liquidity providers while maintaining zero trading fees and supporting cross-platform access via web and mobile interfaces.
Flipster Spot Trading
Flipster implements spot cryptocurrency trading through centralized order matching, enabling direct asset purchases and conversions. The system supports digital currency deposits and withdrawals while maintaining integrated wallet functionality for seamless asset management.
Flipster
Flipster is a cryptocurrency derivatives and spot trading platform launched in 2021 and engineered specifically for active traders who demand deep liquidity, low latency, and transparent pricing. The exchange offers more than 400 perpetual futures markets alongside a focused spot desk, passive income mechanisms, and a growing suite of on-chain and traditional finance products — all accessible through a single account.
Core Mechanism
At the heart of Flipster is its perpetual futures engine. Perpetuals are derivative contracts with no expiry date; traders go long or short on an asset's price movement without ever taking physical delivery. Funding rates periodically exchange between longs and shorts to keep the contract price anchored to the underlying spot market.
In August 2025, Flipster introduced what it describes as the industry's first zero-spread perpetual model. Traditional exchanges embed a bid-ask spread into every quote, meaning traders pay a hidden cost on both entry and exit — on a $100,000 position, even a 2-basis-point spread adds roughly $40 per round trip on top of visible fees. Flipster eliminated this by quoting a single unified price on more than 20 major perpetual pairs, including BTC, ETH, and SOL, with ultra-tight spreads available across the remaining 380+ listings. Maker/taker fees start at 0.025% and decrease with volume tier, making total trading cost unusually transparent.
Products and Features
Perpetual Futures — The primary product, covering Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Dogecoin, XRP, and hundreds of altcoins and memecoins, all quoted in USDT. Leverage is available up to 100x. In September 2025, Flipster added USD1-denominated perpetual contracts for BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, and DOGE, expanding the stablecoin options available to traders.
Spot Trading — A streamlined spot desk covering seven major pairs: BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, TRX, TON, and APT, all against USDT. The spot offering is intentionally focused rather than exhaustive, positioning Flipster primarily as a derivatives venue that also handles core spot needs.
Earn While You Trade — Margin balances on USDT, BTC, and ETH earn passive yield of up to 6% APR while remaining fully deployed as trading collateral. Funds are not locked; they continue to back open positions while accruing interest simultaneously.
Dynamic Earn — A separate on-chain yield product that simplifies DeFi access. Users can access decentralized yields without managing self-custody wallets or bridging assets manually, as Flipster abstracts those steps internally.
TradFi Perpetuals — An expansion into traditional finance derivatives allows traders to take positions on assets such as gold futures through the same interface used for crypto. This bridges the gap between crypto-native traders and macro-focused strategies without requiring a separate brokerage account.
Copy Trading — Users can automate their entries and exits by mirroring the moves of verified Master Traders. Performance history is published transparently, enabling followers to evaluate track records before allocating capital.
Launchpool — Token staking campaigns that allow users to earn newly issued project tokens in exchange for staking existing assets. Flipster partners with projects for these distributions, providing participants early access to emerging tokens.
Rewards Hub and Leaderboards — Dynamic promotional campaigns, referral incentives, and weekly and monthly P&L competitions provide additional earning potential beyond trading returns.
Instant Flip — A one-tap feature that reverses an open position, useful for active traders responding quickly to shifting market conditions without manually closing and reopening trades.
TradingView Integration — Full TradingView charting with more than 100 technical indicators is built into the platform, an integration many competing exchanges lack.
Supported Assets
Perpetual markets cover a wide range of asset categories: large-cap coins (BTC, ETH, SOL), mid-caps, altcoins, and memecoins. Spot trading is limited to seven USDT-paired assets. Collateral and yield earn is denominated in USDT, BTC, or ETH.
Security and Trust
Flipster publishes daily Proof of Reserves covering more than 30 assets, maintaining a reserve ratio at or above 100% at all times. The platform holds ISO/IEC 27001 certification, an international standard for information security management, and has received an AA exchange rating from CER.live, an independent security assessment service. No security breaches have been reported since the platform's 2021 launch.
Account-level protections include mandatory KYC identity verification, two-factor authentication, biometric login, and passkey support. All customer assets are held on a one-to-one basis, meaning the exchange does not use deposits for proprietary positions or lending.
Regulatory Standing
Flipster obtained a full operational license from Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), a regulated framework for crypto businesses. The platform is available in approximately 190 countries, with access restricted in the United States, China, Singapore, and Ukraine.
Team and Background
Flipster is developed by a team that describes itself as traders building tools they themselves want to use. Youngsun Shin, Head of Product and Partnerships, has publicly framed the platform's direction around friction elimination — in execution speed, cost transparency, and market access. The GitHub organization operates under the handle teamprex, reflecting an earlier working name for the product. The founding date is listed as 2021, with the platform growing through several product generations since then.
The exchange positions its roadmap toward institutional-style infrastructure accessible to retail users: planned features include options markets, structured notes, and synthetic assets, building beyond the current perpetuals and spot offerings.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
Solana (SOL) is one of Flipster's most prominently featured trading assets, supported across both spot and perpetual markets, including the September 2025 USD1 perpetual launch that specifically named SOL as one of five headline assets. While Flipster is a centralized exchange rather than a Solana-native protocol, it provides significant liquidity and price discovery for SOL-denominated positions and serves Solana ecosystem participants who prefer a CEX interface for derivatives trading. Its Dynamic Earn product also gestures toward DeFi integration, potentially connecting to Solana's on-chain yield landscape as the feature matures.
