Coinflow
Coinflow is a Chicago-based stablecoin payments company that builds the infrastructure layer businesses need to accept card payments from ordinary customers and settle those payments instantly on-chain. Founded in 2022 by CEO Daniel Lev, CTO Ben Meeder, and COO Jake Montgomery, Coinflow has raised $28.7 million in total funding across three rounds and processes multi-billion dollars in annualized transaction volume across more than 170 countries.
How It Works
The core insight behind Coinflow is that stablecoins can solve the twin problems that plague both traditional payment rails and first-generation crypto on-ramps: settlement delay and conversion friction. Traditional card processors take T+2 or longer to settle funds. First-generation crypto on-ramps deposit stablecoins to a wallet and stop there, leaving merchants to figure out the rest.
Coinflow collapses both steps into a single, unified flow. On the intake side, a customer pays with a Visa card, ACH transfer, Apple Pay, or one of eight other payment methods. During the card authorization window, Coinflow converts the fiat value to USDC or USDT and deposits the stablecoin directly into the merchant's on-chain treasury. The merchant never touches fiat, but the customer never touches crypto. On the payout side, Coinflow runs the process in reverse: a merchant or platform holding USDC can trigger a bank payout to any recipient, with settlement completing in under 60 seconds via RTP, Visa Direct, or SEPA Instant, or via standard ACH, SEPA, PIX, or Venmo for markets without instant rails.
CEO Daniel Lev framed the thesis when discussing the Series A: "Stablecoins are core infrastructure. The coin is not the investment. It's the infrastructure that runs on top of it." The goal is for end users to never notice stablecoins are moving their money and simply notice it moves faster.
Products
Coinflow Checkout is a drop-in widget that lets any application accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), ACH, SEPA, UK Faster Payments, PIX, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. The widget handles PCI compliance entirely, keeping card data off the merchant's servers. Funds settle as USDC or USDT to the on-chain address the merchant specifies.
Instant Payouts converts USDC held on-chain to fiat and dispatches it to recipients' bank accounts or debit cards. Supported payout rails include Same-Day ACH, Standard ACH, SEPA Instant, SEPA Standard, UK Faster Payments, PIX, Venmo, Apple Pay push-to-card, and Interac for Canada. The practical use case is a platform that collects in stablecoins and needs to pay out to creators, sellers, or employees in local currency without any manual conversion step.
NFT Purchase Flow is a Solana-specific feature that allows a user to buy an NFT using a Visa card or Apple Pay and receive the NFT directly in their wallet without a separate on-ramp step. Most competitors stop at depositing stablecoins to a wallet; Coinflow completes the full delivery to a Solana token account in one transaction.
Marketplace and Subscription tooling handles multi-party payment routing, split payouts to multiple recipients, escrow functionality, and recurring billing across payment methods. These primitives are targeted at platforms running two-sided markets where sellers need to be paid out from buyer funds.
Fraud and chargeback protection is built into every transaction rather than offered as an add-on. Coinflow uses NSure, an ML-powered fraud scoring engine, to evaluate transactions at authorization time and provides 100% chargeback indemnification on every approved transaction. The platform-wide approval rate is approximately 95%, with a contractual SLA floor of 85%.
Solana Integration
Solana is Coinflow's primary blockchain. The company builds native Solana SDKs in React, Vue, Angular, and React Native, maintains open-source repositories under github.com/coinflow-labs-us, and covers all Solana network fees on behalf of merchants, making transactions effectively gas-free at the application layer. Stablecoin coverage on Solana is anchored on USDC (SPL token), with USDT also available.
Coinflow is the official off-ramp partner of Squads, Solana's leading multisig and enterprise treasury protocol. This means teams using Squads to manage on-chain treasuries can convert USDC directly to fiat through Coinflow without leaving the Squads interface. The partnership places Coinflow at the institutional end of the Solana ecosystem, not just the consumer on-ramp layer.
Verified Solana customers include Solana Labs itself, Audius (the decentralized music streaming platform), Web3Auth (the embedded wallet infrastructure provider), and Faraway (a Web3 games studio with several Solana titles). These customers span creator monetization, wallet on-ramps, and in-game economy use cases — all areas where Solana's throughput and low fees provide structural advantages that Coinflow's payment layer can exploit.
Team and Funding
Coinflow was founded in Chicago in 2022, shortly after the FTX collapse. The founding team of Lev (CEO), Meeder (CTO), and Montgomery (COO) raised $1.45 million in April 2023 from a pre-seed round. CMT Digital led the $2.25 million seed in May 2024.
The October 2025 Series A of $25 million was led by Pantera Capital, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, CMT Digital, Jump Capital, Reciprocal Ventures, The Fintech Fund, Draper Dragon, and Digital Currency Group. By January 2026, headcount had grown to approximately 43 employees — roughly triple the size at the Series A close — with hiring concentrated in the US and Europe.
Revenue grew 23-fold between the 2024 seed and the Series A, a span of roughly 18 months. The company reports a multi-billion-dollar annualized transaction volume run rate. Capital from the Series A is being deployed toward payout network expansion in Asia and Latin America and toward improving card authorization approval rates.
Compliance and Certifications
Coinflow holds PCI DSS Service Provider Level 1 certification, the highest tier for card data handling, and achieved SOC 2 Type I in November 2025. The company holds a Polish VASP registration (RDWW-1337) through its EU entity, Coinflow Sp.z.o.o. No native token exists. Coinflow is an infrastructure company earning transaction-based revenue rather than token-based incentives.
Solana Fit
Coinflow occupies the payments plumbing layer of the Solana ecosystem — the part that allows applications to convert customer card swipes into on-chain value and on-chain value back into customer bank accounts. Its Solana-specific capabilities including gas-less transactions, native NFT delivery, and Squads integration, together with its roster of Solana-native customers, make it one of the primary fiat gateways into and out of the Solana ecosystem. As Solana's USDC supply has grown to over $10 billion as of mid-2026 — second only to Ethereum — and monthly stablecoin volume hit $650 billion in February 2026, Coinflow's position as a fiat-stablecoin bridge on Solana is increasingly load-bearing infrastructure for the network's commercial ecosystem.
