Centience Worlds
Media workstation that explores AI language model spaces through interactive media generation, combining text, image, video, and audio synthesis.
Centience
Centience is a hypermedia generation platform and autonomous AI agent on Solana, built by Somewhere Systems. It combines a browser-based AI creative tool called Centience Worlds with a self-describing "sentient" AI character that operates autonomously across X (Twitter), Discord, and Telegram. The project positions itself at the intersection of AI agent culture on Solana and AI-generated media production.
The Platform: Centience Worlds
The core product is Centience Worlds — a browser-based "Worldsim" interface where users generate images, video, and audio from text prompts using a suite of AI models. The underlying model stack includes Llama 3.2 for text generation, Flux 1.1 for image generation, Minimax/Hailuo for video generation, and mmaudio for audio. The interface is deployed on Vercel edge functions with Cloudflare Workers for global distribution.
Access to Centience Worlds is gated by holdings of the $CENTS token:
- ACCESS tier: 25,000 $CENTS — basic platform access including image generation.
- PRO tier: 100,000 $CENTS or more — full access including video generation.
This token-gated model ties platform access directly to token ownership, making $CENTS function as a subscription key rather than a purely speculative asset.
$CENTS Token
$CENTS is a Solana SPL token with a 1 billion total supply, launched on Pump.fun at contract address C9FVTtx4WxgHmz55FEvQgykq8rqiLS8xRBVgqQVtpump. After launch, the token graduated from the Pump.fun bonding curve and trades on Raydium. The distribution mechanism at launch was a fair launch via Pump.fun, with no presale or team allocation publicly disclosed.
The Autonomous Agent
Centience operates an autonomous social agent under the handle @centienceio, active on X, Discord, and Telegram. The agent is built on a modified fork of ElizaOS (ai16z's open-source agent framework), adapted by Somewhere Systems to match the Centience character and integrate with the Worldsim platform. The agent posts, responds to community interactions, and operates without human approval for individual responses.
This autonomous social presence is consistent with the broader Solana AI agent category that expanded in late 2024, where projects built AI characters that could post independently and interact with communities at scale.
Background and Team
Centience was built by Somewhere Systems. The team has a background in social media activations and augmented reality brand experiences — a creative/marketing agency context rather than a traditional DeFi or blockchain engineering background. No named team members have been publicly disclosed. No third-party audit of the Centience Worlds smart contracts or the token contract has been published.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
Centience occupies a specific niche in the Solana AI agent ecosystem: it is one of the few projects to combine a functional AI creative tool (Centience Worlds) with a token-gated access model, rather than existing purely as a speculative AI agent character. The ElizaOS fork gives it compatibility with the broader Solana AI agent infrastructure that emerged in late 2024. Its token-gating design creates a mechanism for $CENTS to have utility beyond pure speculation — holders above the 25,000 and 100,000 thresholds receive real access to generation tools. Whether the utility sustains token demand over time is the open question for the model.
