Brasil Bitcoin Exchange
Centralized cryptocurrency exchange offering BRL trading pairs, custody, leveraged trading, and withdrawals.
Brasil Bitcoin
Brasil Bitcoin is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange (CEX) headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil, operating since February 2018 under company registration number CNPJ 29.519.837/0001-23. The platform serves more than 700,000 retail and institutional clients and reports processing R$15 billion in trading volume over the prior year, positioning it among the highest-volume digital asset venues in Brazil. Solana (SOL) and several Solana-native tokens are listed for trading on the exchange.
What It Is
Brasil Bitcoin functions as a full-service digital asset marketplace for Brazilian residents and businesses. Users can buy, sell, and trade over 150 cryptocurrencies with the Brazilian real (BRL) as the primary fiat on-ramp and off-ramp. Deposits are accepted 24 hours a day via PIX, Brazil's instant payment infrastructure, with a minimum entry of R$10. The exchange operates a basic interface for first-time buyers and a professional trading terminal — called BB Trade — with order books, charting tools, and limit/market orders for more experienced traders.
The platform also serves businesses through a Crypto-as-a-Service (CaaS) offering that allows companies to embed digital asset functionality into their own products and workflows.
Trading and Assets
The exchange lists more than 150 digital assets across a wide range of categories:
- Major layer-1 assets: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC)
- Stablecoins: Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), PayPal USD (PYUSD), PAX Gold (PAXG)
- DeFi tokens: Chainlink (LINK), Uniswap (UNI), Aave (AAVE), and others
- Solana-ecosystem tokens: Bonk (BONK) and other Solana-native memecoins are listed
- Tokenized equities: Synthetic exposure to US equities such as Tesla, Apple, Amazon, NVIDIA, and Meta through xStock-style instruments
New assets are listed on an ongoing basis. According to the platform, curation and transparency in the listing process are priorities.
Product Suite
Beyond spot trading, Brasil Bitcoin operates several branded products:
BB Aplicar is a yield-generation service that allows users to put idle digital assets to work. The platform does not publish granular APY rates publicly, but this product targets users seeking passive income on crypto holdings rather than active trading.
BB Maximizada is a leveraged trading product that allows positions of up to 100x on select assets. The exchange markets this as a way to amplify exposure, though it carries the standard risks associated with high-leverage instruments.
BB Global is an international remittance service. Users can send value internationally using cryptocurrency as the settlement layer, with conversions handled by the platform. The service is aimed at Brazilians sending or receiving money across borders and is positioned as a lower-cost alternative to traditional wire transfers.
BB Pag enables users to pay everyday bills — utilities, services, and other expenses — directly with cryptocurrency holdings. The platform handles the conversion to BRL for payment to the merchant or biller.
BB Pack offers managed cryptocurrency portfolios, allowing users to buy pre-composed baskets of digital assets rather than selecting individual tokens.
BB Stable provides stablecoin-focused exposure for users who want to hold digital dollars or other stable denominations without the volatility of open crypto markets.
BB OTC is a desk for high-volume trades that need to be executed away from the public order book, avoiding slippage on large notional amounts. The OTC desk operates 24/7 and, per a mid-2025 update, now supports D+1 settlement with additional flexibility for institutional counterparties.
An AI assistant branded SophIA is integrated via Telegram to handle customer queries and support tasks, reducing friction for users seeking real-time help.
Regulatory Context
Brasil Bitcoin operates in a regulatory environment that has tightened significantly since 2022. Brazil's Virtual Assets Law, passed that year and subsequently operationalized by the Banco Central do Brasil through resolutions published in late 2025, designates the central bank as the primary regulator for virtual asset service providers (VASPs). These rules impose cybersecurity requirements, identity management standards, continuity planning, and incident response obligations on exchanges operating in the country.
A key deadline is October 30, 2026, by which all VASPs operating in Brazil must file for authorization with the Banco Central and submit an independent audit report signed by an auditor registered with the CVM (Brazil's securities regulator). Brasil Bitcoin's CNPJ registration indicates it is a formally constituted Brazilian legal entity subject to these requirements.
Brasil Bitcoin ranks fourth among companies in the "cryptocurrency" category on Reclame Aqui, a widely used Brazilian consumer review and dispute resolution platform — a public signal of customer service quality relative to peers.
Team and Partnerships
Brasil Bitcoin's public-facing partnership includes Renato Cariani, a well-known Brazilian fitness influencer with a large retail audience. The arrangement appears oriented toward customer acquisition in the retail segment.
On the institutional side, the exchange lists partnerships with Stark Bank (a Brazilian digital banking infrastructure provider), Circle (the issuer of USDC), Tether (USDT), and Privcy, among others. The Circle and Tether relationships are relevant to the platform's stablecoin liquidity and distribution.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
Brasil Bitcoin's Solana connection is primarily that of an asset-listing venue: SOL is available for purchase with BRL via PIX, and Solana-native tokens including BONK are listed for spot trading. For Brazilian retail users seeking exposure to the Solana ecosystem, Brasil Bitcoin offers one of the higher-liquidity on-ramps in the country. The platform does not operate a Solana validator, staking pool, DeFi protocol, or native Solana program — its role in the ecosystem is as a CEX entry and exit point for BRL-denominated users.
Given its scale of 700,000+ users and R$15 billion in annual volume, Brasil Bitcoin represents a meaningful distribution channel for Solana assets in a large emerging market where PIX adoption has dramatically lowered barriers to fiat-to-crypto conversion.
