Bleap App

Bleap App is a non-custodial Web3 wallet with Mastercard debit card integration, supporting stablecoin spending and DeFi yield products. The system uses Portal MPC technology for secure wallet recovery and ERC-4337 account abstraction for gasless transactions.

About

Bleap

Bleap is a self-custodial financial application that treats blockchain as a settlement layer rather than an add-on to traditional banking. Founded in 2023 by Joao Alves and Guilherme Gomes — both former product builders at Revolut — Bleap combines a Mastercard-powered crypto card, DeFi yield vaults, fee-free cross-chain trading, and instant global money transfers inside a single mobile app available on iOS and Android.

What Problem It Solves

The founders built Bleap around a diagnosis they arrived at during their time at Revolut: financial interfaces improved dramatically over the past decade, but the underlying rails did not. Card transactions still route through multiple fee-extracting intermediaries, savings yields are constrained by bank balance-sheet mechanics, and cross-border transfers bleed value through legacy correspondent banking. Bleap's response is to rebuild from the ledger layer up, using stablecoins and smart-contract settlement to strip out the structural costs at the source.

How the App Works

Bleap uses account abstraction to replace the traditional private key and seed phrase with phone and email authentication. This keeps the account non-custodial — assets remain on-chain and owned by the user — while removing a significant friction and security risk. The platform generates an on-chain account behind the scenes and routes every transaction through its blockchain settlement layer.

When a user pays at a Mastercard terminal, the app converts the relevant crypto or stablecoin position to fiat in real time at a 0% foreign exchange spread. Yield accrues passively through YO Vaults, which automatically deploy assets into DeFi protocols selected by the platform. Trading is executed without gas fees, with routing and settlement handled internally so users interact with a simple swap interface rather than bridge contracts or wallet-switching flows.

Key Features

Crypto Card — A Mastercard-branded card (physical, virtual, disposable, and metal tiers available) that allows spending at over 150 million merchants worldwide with up to 20% cashback on eligible purchases paid in stablecoins. Apple Pay and Google Pay are both supported. No forex fee is charged on international purchases.

YO Vaults — An automated DeFi savings product offering up to 8% AER on holdings. Funds are deployed into DeFi protocols automatically, and the yield breakdown is visible within the app. Digital savings accounts denominated in USD ranged from 3.65% to 3.83% annually as of mid-2026.

Fee-Free Trading — Launched in February 2026, the trading feature covers 18,000+ tokens across same-chain and cross-chain pairs with no trading fees, no gas costs, and no spread markups. Tokenized stocks, ETFs, and precious metals (gold and silver) trade from the same unified balance and interface.

Cross-Chain Swaps (Solana and Arbitrum) — Bleap supports fee-free swaps between Solana and Arbitrum, abstracting away manual bridging, wallet switching, and network costs. Support for Base and BNB Chain was announced as the next planned rollout. Solana (SOL) is a supported asset for spending, saving, and trading.

Global Transfers — Instant cross-border payments via SWIFT, SEPA, FPS, and ACH rails, with no transfer fees and real-time exchange rates across 13 supported fiat currencies.

Supported Assets

Bleap supports Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, USDC, USDT, Polygon (MATIC), Avalanche (AVAX), Chainlink (LINK), Polkadot (DOT), Litecoin (LTC), DAI, and a range of meme coins including PEPE, DOGE, and SHIB. The trading layer extends access to over 18,000 tokens. Tokenized equities, ETFs, gold, and silver are available through the fee-free trading feature.

Team and Backing

Joao Alves and Guilherme Gomes co-founded Bleap after building financial products at Revolut. The company has grown to a nine-person team using a selective hiring bar described internally as interviewing approximately 150 candidates per position. Bleap has raised $8.3 million across two rounds: a $2.3 million pre-seed closed in late 2024, led by Ethereal Ventures (the firm connected to Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin and Consensys), and a $6 million seed round closed in summer 2025, led by Blossom Capital. OKX and EigenLayer are listed among the platform's partners alongside Mastercard and Phantom. Coverage has appeared in Forbes, The Block, and Sifted.

Regulatory Status

Bleap operates under registration in the Polish Register of Virtual Currencies Business Activity (RDWW-1009). As of mid-2026, Bleap SIA is also licensed under MiCAR (EU Regulation 2023/1114) by Latvijas Banka for crypto-asset exchange services, and the company is pursuing full MiCAR authorization to scale European operations. A native token was originally planned for 2026 but has been pushed to early 2027.

Security Approach

Bleap's primary security claim is self-custody: user funds remain on-chain at all times and are not held by the company. Account abstraction eliminates seed phrases, reducing the key management burden on users. No third-party smart contract audits were listed on the official website or help center as of the research date.

Traction and Geographic Reach

As of mid-2026, Bleap reports over 20,000 users and more than $30 million in transaction volume processed during 2025. The primary market is Europe, where the Mastercard card launched in beta in 2024 for users in the European Economic Area and Switzerland. Mexico is live, with Brazil, Colombia, and Peru noted as active expansion markets in Latin America. The app holds a 4.8-star rating on the App Store and 4.5 stars on Google Play.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

Solana is one of the two chains currently supported for fee-free cross-chain swaps, alongside Arbitrum. SOL is a first-class asset within Bleap — it can be held, spent via card, saved in YO Vaults, and swapped cross-chain without gas costs or manual bridging. Phantom wallet is listed as a platform partner, reflecting Solana-native tooling integrated at the wallet layer. For users who hold SOL and want to access DeFi yields or spend crypto at real-world merchants, Bleap removes most of the friction that would otherwise require separate wallet management, DEX interaction, and bridging steps.
