Bleap App

Bleap App is a non-custodial Web3 wallet with Mastercard debit card integration, supporting stablecoin spending and DeFi yield products. The system uses Portal MPC technology for secure wallet recovery and ERC-4337 account abstraction for gasless transactions.

About

Bleap

Bleap is a self-custodial crypto card and DeFi application that combines a Mastercard-backed debit card, zero-fee cross-chain trading, and yield-generating vaults in a single mobile app — with Solana as a key component of its cross-chain trading infrastructure since February 2026.

Background and Founding

Bleap was founded in 2023 by Joao Alves and Guilherme Gomes, two engineers who previously built payment infrastructure at Revolut. Their experience at one of Europe's largest neobanks directly informs Bleap's product approach: building a crypto-native financial app that matches the UX expectations of traditional fintech consumers while enabling fully self-custodial access to DeFi.

The company raised a $2.3 million pre-seed round in late 2024 from Ethereal Ventures, followed by a $6 million seed round in summer 2025 led by Blossom Capital. Bleap is VASP-registered in Poland (RDWW-1009) and operates across the European Union and Mexico.

The Bleap Product

Bleap's core offering is a self-custodial wallet that functions simultaneously as a DeFi interface and a consumer spending card. The design goal is to eliminate the friction that typically separates DeFi participation from everyday spending.

Self-Custodial Architecture

Bleap uses MPC (multi-party computation) wallets via PortalHQ combined with ERC-4337 account abstraction, allowing users to maintain self-custody without exposing seed phrases and enabling gasless transactions. The primary chain is Arbitrum, which provides low fees and EVM composability for the app's DeFi functionality.

Mastercard Debit Card

The Bleap card is a physical Mastercard debit card that draws directly from the user's in-app crypto balance. Cardholders earn up to 20% USDC cashback on purchases — a rate significantly higher than typical card rewards — distributed back to the Bleap wallet. The card does not charge foreign exchange fees, crypto transaction fees, or gas fees, compressing the cost-to-spend to near zero for everyday use.

Zero-Fee Cross-Chain Trading

Bleap users can trade between supported assets without paying trading fees, FX fees, gas fees, or transfer fees. The platform handles gas abstraction so users never need to hold native tokens (ETH, SOL) to execute transactions. This fee-free model is sustained by the company during the growth phase.

Solana Integration (February 2026)

On February 10, 2026, Bleap formally launched Solana as a supported cross-chain trading asset. Users can trade between Solana-native tokens and Arbitrum-based assets gaslessly, with Bleap handling the cross-chain routing behind the scenes. This integration was accompanied by Bleap's participation as a partner at Breakpoint 2026, signaling continued investment in the Solana ecosystem. The cross-chain functionality expands Bleap's addressable liquidity and gives Solana users a path into Bleap's card and yield products.

YO Vaults: DeFi Yield

The YO Vaults product allows Bleap users to put idle balances to work in curated DeFi yield strategies. Integrated via Angle Protocol, the vaults currently offer 3.65–3.83% AER on stablecoin positions. Yield accrues automatically and is redeemable at any time, giving users access to DeFi returns without requiring them to navigate protocol interfaces directly.

How It Compares

Bleap occupies a position in the market alongside Wirex, Nexo, and BlockFi (prior to its closure), but with a self-custodial emphasis that distinguishes it from custodial crypto card products. Unlike custodial competitors where the platform holds user assets, Bleap's MPC wallet design means users retain control of keys. The zero-fee model is more aggressive than most competitors, who typically extract margin on FX conversions or crypto-to-fiat settlement.

The Revolut pedigree of the founding team is relevant: Revolut built one of Europe's most widely adopted digital banking apps and both founders understand the operational complexity of compliance-heavy fintech at scale. The VASP registration in Poland provides a regulatory foundation for European expansion.

Token and Audits

As of mid-2026, Bleap has not issued a native token. A token launch is planned for early 2027, though details have not been publicly disclosed. No third-party smart contract audits have been publicly published.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

Bleap's relevance to the Solana ecosystem increased materially with the February 2026 cross-chain trading integration. Users holding SOL or Solana-native tokens can now access Bleap's card spending and yield products through a gasless cross-chain flow — Bleap routes between Solana and Arbitrum transparently. The Breakpoint 2026 partnership further signals ongoing engagement with the Solana developer and user community. As Bleap matures its product and expands geographically, Solana represents one of the primary liquidity sources for its cross-chain trading engine alongside its core Arbitrum infrastructure.
