Banana Gun
Banana Gun is a multi-chain cryptocurrency trading bot ecosystem that runs primarily through Telegram and offers automated trading tools, including token sniping, copy trading, and limit orders, on Solana and several EVM-compatible networks.
What It Is
Launched in 2023, Banana Gun operates three main products: a Telegram bot for EVM chains, a Telegram bot optimized for Solana (Banana Gun SOL), and Banana Pro, a browser-based trading terminal for active traders. The platform expanded into prediction markets under the Banana Predict brand, enabling users to trade on outcomes across crypto, sports, and trending events. A Banana Swap product is also listed as forthcoming.
The product suite targets on-chain traders who need fast execution without leaving their communication tools. Users interact by pasting a token address, pump.fun link, or DexScreener URL directly into Telegram; Banana Gun executes the trade without requiring a separate wallet connection or manual slippage configuration.
How It Works
Banana Gun's primary function is token sniping: monitoring blockchains for new token launches and executing buy orders at the moment trading begins. Users configure parameters such as target token, investment amount, slippage tolerance, and priority fee level before the snipe fires automatically.
For tokens already live, the bot supports spot trading, dollar-cost averaging (DCA), and limit orders including take-profit and stop-loss. Copy trading lets users mirror the on-chain activity of any wallet address they configure, and a social tracker and leaderboard surface active traders to follow.
On Solana, the bot routes trades through Jito for MEV protection. The platform also runs built-in contract simulations before executing trades to detect honeypots, and monitors contract changes and pending transactions for anti-rug protection.
Fees are 0.5% on manual trades and 1% on snipes. There is no subscription requirement. As of published platform stats, Banana Gun has processed more than 26 million lifetime trades representing over $16 billion in lifetime volume across all supported chains.
Supported Chains
Banana Gun supports Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain, Base, and MegaETH. Solana support was added in early 2024. The Banana Pro web terminal syncs balances and positions across chains, letting traders manage cross-chain exposure from a single interface.
BANANA Token
The BANANA token is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum with contract address 0x38e68a37e401f7271568cecaac63c6b1e19130b4 and a total supply capped at 10 million. The tokenomics breakdown per the official docs: circulating supply 3,220,000 (32.2%); treasury locked 4,500,000 (45%); team locked 1,000,000 (10%); burned 1,100,000 (11%).
There are no buy, sell, or transfer taxes. Team tokens vest on staggered schedules with multi-year cliffs. Treasury tokens fund Banana Bonus emissions, which are platform-native reward distributions on a two-year linear vesting schedule.
BANANA holders with 50 or more tokens gain access to an exclusive holder chat and receive a share of the platform's trading fee revenue, distributed in-kind rather than through token buybacks. Holders also participate in governance by voting on protocol proposals.
BANANA was the inaugural project in Binance's HODLer Airdrops program: tokens were distributed to users who subscribed BNB to Simple Earn between June 23 and July 5, 2024.
Security and the September 2024 Exploit
On September 19, 2024, an attacker exploited a vulnerability in Banana Gun's Telegram message oracle. The flaw allowed unauthorized ETH transfers from 11 users' wallets while those users were actively trading through the bot. Total losses reached approximately $3 million; most victims were experienced traders.
The team shut down both the EVM and Solana bots immediately upon detection, patched the vulnerability, and reimbursed all 11 affected users in full from the project treasury. No BANANA tokens were sold to fund the repayments. Following the incident, the team implemented two-factor authentication for all transfers, introduced a two-hour delay on withdrawal transactions, and committed to additional penetration testing. BANANA's price rose roughly 7% in the days after the reimbursements were confirmed.
No independent smart contract audit report is publicly disclosed in the sources reviewed.
Team
Banana Gun's team does not publicly identify individual members. Governance decisions are subject to BANANA token holder votes, giving the community a formal role in protocol direction.
Solana Ecosystem Fit
Banana Gun sits in the Telegram trading bot category on Solana, a segment that grew significantly as on-chain memecoin activity accelerated on the network through 2024 and 2025. By routing Solana trades through Jito for MEV protection and supporting one-tap execution from pump.fun and DexScreener links, the bot integrates with two of the most-used layers of Solana's retail trading infrastructure. Solana is one network in Banana Gun's multi-chain product rather than its exclusive focus, but the Solana-specific bot (Banana Gun SOL) has been maintained as a distinct product alongside the EVM variants since early 2024.
