ZetaChain Proposal 68 Passes With 99.4% Support, ZETA to Migrate to Solana SPL
ZetaChain Proposal 68 passed with 99.4% support and 58% turnout, authorizing ZETA to migrate to Solana as a native SPL token and starting the L1 wind-down.
ZetaChain Proposal 68 closed at 14:58 UTC on September 20, 2026, with 99.4% of votes cast in favor, 0.3% against, and 0.3% abstaining. Participation reached 58% of eligible stake, above the 40% quorum required for the result to be binding. The vote authorizes ZetaChain to migrate the ZETA token to Solana as a native SPL token and begin winding down the ZetaChain L1.
The proposal was announced on September 17 and covered here: ZetaChain's core argument was that running an independent Cosmos-based L1 no longer served its focus on Anuma, its private AI app, and that Solana's infrastructure was better suited for what comes next.
What Proposal 68 Authorized: ZETA to Solana SPL at 1:1
The passed proposal authorizes a 1:1 conversion of ZETA to a native Solana SPL token under the same ticker. Total supply remains unchanged and no new tokens will be created. Existing vesting schedules continue through their original dates.
One mechanical detail holders should note: native ZETA carries 18 decimal places, while the new Solana SPL token will carry 9. Any balance below the minimum precision representable at 9 decimals will be rounded down in the conversion.
ZETA on Ethereum and BNB Chain is explicitly out of scope for Proposal 68. Those balances are unaffected.
Proposal 2 Is the Actual Migration Trigger
Proposal 68 is an authorization, not a migration date. A second proposal must still pass before any tokens move. That proposal will define the snapshot block height for the conversion, the claim process holders must follow, exchange coordination steps, and the schedule for halting the ZetaChain L1.
Until that second proposal passes, the L1 continues operating and all existing balances remain unchanged. ZetaChain validators retain their staking positions until a shutdown date is set.
Anuma's 301,195 Users Move With the Token
The migration carries Anuma, ZetaChain's private AI app, to Solana alongside ZETA. ZetaChain reports Anuma had 301,195 users as of September 16, 2026, with over one million requests processed across 35 AI models since its February 2026 launch. Users lock ZETA to access AI credits; an encrypted Private Memory Layer stores session context. ZetaChain describes daily sign-ups as in the thousands.
After the migration, Solana validators will secure native ZETA and Anuma will run on Solana's infrastructure. ZetaChain also cited Cosmos EVM vulnerability management as a factor in the exit decision. A coordinated response across six chains was required following a late-August attack, per crypto.news; ZetaChain participated without being directly exploited.
ZETA Price Since the Announcement
ZETA traded at approximately $0.0342, per crypto.news, on September 17 when the proposal was announced and reached roughly $0.0400 by September 19, a gain of about 17% over two days. Exchange listings and the Solana token creation timeline depend on what the second proposal defines.
