Shiba Inu (SHIB) Goes Live on Solana via Sunrise, Confirmed by the Official SHIB Account

Shiba Inu (SHIB) is now trading on Solana. Sunrise, the gateway that lists outside assets on the network, announced at 16:05 UTC on 4 October 2026 that "$SHIB is now listed on @Solana via Sunrise." The token's own account confirmed it five minutes later: "$SHIB has landed on Solana. Make yourselves at home SHIB Army," the Shiba Inu account posted. The official Solana account followed at 16:11 UTC with "BREAKING: $SHIB is live on Solana via @sunrise."

SHIB is a dog-themed community token that began on Ethereum in 2020. The Solana account described it as "expanding from a single dog token into a full ecosystem with its own network and exchange."

The SHIB contract address on Solana

The Solana contract address for SHIB is shib5gSoVKPjwkXrxRk7SbQFzb2R9rQB3TgQWYX4RwW. Sunrise published the address in a reply to its listing post and called it "the canonical $SHIB on Solana," Sunrise's word for a single official version of an asset on the network. The Solana account told readers to verify the address on tokens.xyz, a token registry, and the tokens.xyz page for Shiba Inu lists the same mint.

Checking the address matters because the name is crowded. A Solana Compass token search on 4 October 2026 returned seven other Solana tokens using the SHIB ticker, including an older wrapped version from an earlier bridge. None of them is the mint Sunrise listed. Compass token records also show the Sunrise-listed mint was created on 3 October 2026, a day before the announcement.

Which bridge Sunrise uses for Shiba Inu

Sunrise has not said which bridging system brings SHIB onto Solana. Its listing posts on 4 October 2026 name no bridge, and neither do the Shiba Inu or Solana accounts. Earlier listings do not settle the question, because Sunrise has used more than one system. PEPE arrived through Sunrise in September 2026 over Wormhole W$0.015-5.8%'s token-transfer system, and Coinbase's wrapped ADA came over Chainlink's CCIP ten days later. Sunrise itself was launched by Wormhole Labs in November 2025, according to The Block.

Raydium, Jupiter, DFlow and Phantom carry the token at launch

SHIB was tradable across nine named Solana apps within minutes of the listing. The Solana account listed them as Fomo, DFlow, Titan, Phantom CASH$1.0000.0%, Jupiter JUP$0.330+0.4%, Raydium RAY$2.12-1.0%, Archer, Kamino Swap from Kamino Finance KMNO$0.041+1.7%, and Mayan, "and more." Raydium's pools are visible on-chain: several of the 50 largest SHIB token accounts in Solana Compass holder data belong to Raydium's vault authority, the program account that holds pool funds.

Early trading data: 3,000 trades in five minutes

Solana Compass data shows SHIB changing hands at more than 2,000 trades every five minutes shortly after the listing. In the five minutes to 16:27 UTC on 4 October 2026, 22 minutes after Sunrise's post, Compass's SHIB token data counted 3,005 trades worth about $300,000 from 1,401 wallets. Two earlier pulls, at 16:24 and 16:25 UTC, showed 2,496 and 2,075 trades over their own five-minute windows. About 1,500 wallets held the token at 16:25 UTC, and its pools held about $514,000 in liquidity.

Each figure is a snapshot of a market less than half an hour old.

SHIB follows PEPE and ApeCoin as community tokens from outside Solana that Sunrise has listed since mid-September 2026. With SHIB, the token's own account and the Solana account both confirmed the listing within six minutes, which leaves holders one address to check against. Sunrise told followers to watch its account "to see what lists next" and has not named the next asset.
