ASTER on Solana: Sunrise Lists Aster''s Token and Names a Contract Address, With No Word Yet From Aster

Sunrise, the listing service that brings outside assets to Solana, said on 11 October 2026 that ASTER, the token of the perpetuals exchange Aster, is now listed on the network. "$ASTER is now listed on @Solana via Sunrise," Sunrise posted at 17:14 UTC. Aster had not posted anything about ASTER on Solana by 19:20 UTC the same day, so the listing rests on Sunrise's word and on what the chain shows.

Sunrise names the ASTER Solana contract address

Sunrise followed its announcement with the Solana contract address, known on Solana as a mint: ASTERYpc2EhivYWSbtuWPuCMdXtZGmHwtH93NqYVw45Z. "This is the canonical $ASTER on Solana," Sunrise wrote, meaning the version it treats as the official one. That description is Sunrise's own. The posts did not say how ASTER moves between chains, what backs the Solana supply, or which exchanges carry it.

Sunrise is made by Wormhole Labs and works with several cross-chain transfer systems, according to an explainer from the exchange Backpack. Two recent listings came with more detail: Venice Token arrived over Wormhole's NTT, and the Shiba Inu listing was confirmed by the official SHIB account. The ASTER listing has neither so far.

StonkFun, a token launchpad, posted at 17:15 UTC that new tokens on its platform can be paired with ASTER.

What on-chain data shows for the ASTER mint

The mint Sunrise named was created at 17:01 UTC on 11 October 2026, 13 minutes before the announcement, according to Solana Compass token data. At 19:21 UTC, our data showed about 650,000 ASTER in existence on Solana, held by more than 1,400 wallets, with about $35,000 of liquidity in trading pools.

That is a small amount next to the token's total. Aster's token documentation puts ASTER's maximum supply at 8 billion tokens, so the Solana supply was under one hundredth of one percent of that cap two hours after the listing.

What Aster is, and what Aster has not said

Aster describes itself as "a privacy-focused decentralized exchange, offering perpetual markets on crypto, stocks and commodities", running on its own blockchain, Aster Chain. Perpetuals are futures contracts with no expiry date. The same token documentation lists ASTER as a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain and does not mention Solana.

On X, Aster posted once on 11 October 2026 before the Sunrise announcement, about a new perpetuals market, and had posted nothing after it by 19:20 UTC. Until Aster comments, Sunrise is the only party vouching for the mint.

Finding the right ASTER token on Solana

The full mint address is the only reliable identifier. Solana Compass token search also returns two older Solana tokens named ASTER, created in January and May 2026, that Sunrise did not name and that are separate from the mint above. Token names and tickers on Solana are not unique, so anyone looking for the Sunrise-listed ASTER should match the address character for character.
