LINK is now live on Solana. Sunrise confirmed the listing on September 13 at 19:49 UTC, posting the contract address and noting that LINK was bridged from Base via Chainlink's own CCIP cross-chain protocol. Raydium RAY$1.41-7.0% listed the token the same day.

The mint address, LinkhB3afbBKb2EQQu7s7umdZceV3wcvAUJhQAfQ23L, carries Sunrise's vanity-address pattern: it opens with "Link," consistent with how the protocol marks canonical mints to reduce confusion with unofficial versions.

What Canonical Means for LINK on Solana

The Solana ecosystem has hosted multiple wrapped or bridged LINK representations over the years, including a legacy Sollet-wrapped version. A canonical listing gives those representations a clear successor: one issuer-controlled address that aggregators, wallets, and on-chain protocols can coordinate around from day one.

When Sunrise lists an asset as canonical, it designates a single mint as the official Solana deployment, giving market makers and liquidity venues one address to commit to rather than splitting liquidity across competing representations. According to Solana's documentation on external asset listings, the canonical-mint approach has enabled same-day volume across 14 million trades and roughly 221,000 wallets for assets listed through the platform over a six-month period.

CCIP as the Bridge Layer for Chainlink LINK

Most Sunrise listings use Wormhole's Native Token Transfers infrastructure. LINK's Solana deployment takes a different route: Chainlink's own CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol), with Base as the source chain. That puts the bridge infrastructure under Chainlink's direct control rather than a third-party provider.

Chainlink launched CCIP v1.6 on Solana mainnet in May 2025, connecting the network to Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Optimism, and Sonic. According to Chainlink's v1.6 announcement, the protocol supports more than 57 blockchains and describes itself as a messaging layer that coordinates mint-and-burn mechanics across chains rather than holding or moving assets directly.

Raydium Pool Volume and First-Day LINK Trading Activity

Raydium opened a LINK/USDC pool on the day of the announcement. Per tokens.xyz data, the pool posted $3.80 million in 24-hour volume with $201,680 in liquidity, while across all venues LINK drew 18,355 unique traders and $8.28 million in total 24-hour volume.

The token was priced at $11.32 per tokens.xyz at the time of the Sunrise announcement. Solana Compass tracked 5,944 unique addresses holding LINK on Solana as of September 14, a separate measure from the trader count that reflects retention rather than activity.

Beyond Raydium, LINK is accessible on Sunrise, JTX, OMFG, Kamino, and Orca, with the Jupiter, Titan, and DFlow aggregators routing to the canonical mint.

Sunrise's Canonical Asset Roster Expands to LINK

The LINK listing extends a pattern Sunrise has run with a range of external assets since launching in late 2025. The protocol has previously brought TAO, AVAX, UNI, PAXG, SILV, and SLX to Solana through canonical listings. An earlier Compass piece on the PAXG listing covered how that launch arrived with same-day DEX pools; Solstice Finance's SLX canonical listing followed the same structure on Jupiter and Raydium.

What distinguishes the LINK listing is the bridge layer. Rather than relying on Wormhole's infrastructure, Chainlink routed its own asset through its own cross-chain protocol, reducing the number of parties between the token issuer and the Solana deployment.
