PrimeRevenue Is Tokenizing Its Electronic Time Drafts on Solana, With No Launch Date Yet
PrimeRevenue says it is tokenizing its patented Electronic Time Drafts on Solana, a first step into on-chain trade finance. No launch date or token named yet.
PrimeRevenue, an Atlanta-based working capital and B2B payments company, said on 26 October 2026 that it is tokenizing its patented Electronic Time Draft (ETD) instrument on Solana SOL$100.41-1.4%. The PrimeRevenue announcement, distributed through PR Newswire, calls it the company's "first step toward bringing the capabilities of traditional trade finance to decentralized finance." The release gives no launch date, names no token or tokenization partner, and does not say whether any ETD has been issued on-chain yet.
The size of the business behind the plan is why it stands out. PrimeRevenue says its platform is used by 50,000 companies, supported by more than 100 funding partners, and facilitates more than $300 billion in annual payment transactions. Those are the company's own figures, given in the release.
How PrimeRevenue's Electronic Time Drafts work in supply chain finance
An Electronic Time Draft is a buyer's obligation to pay a specified amount at a defined future date, in PrimeRevenue's own definition. It is a digital version of the time draft, which PrimeRevenue describes on its website as a payment instrument where a buyer accepts goods or services and agrees to pay the supplier's invoice on a set later date.
The supplier does not have to wait for that date. According to the same PrimeRevenue page, a bank buys the draft from the supplier at a discount set by how far it is from maturity and by the buyer's credit rating, then collects the full amount from the buyer when it falls due. The closest everyday comparison is a post-dated cheque from a large company that the recipient can sell for slightly less than face value today.
PrimeRevenue already runs these drafts electronically. When it was granted further patent protection for ETDs in February 2021, the company said the product removes paper and manual steps from supply chain finance, waives the need for UCC filings, and speeds up suppliers' access to cash by eliminating lien releases. It held four trade finance patents at the time, three of them for the ETD.
What PrimeRevenue says putting ETDs on Solana changes
PrimeRevenue's case is about the record and the reach. In the release, the company says each issuance, transfer, lifecycle event and maturity settlement of an ETD on Solana is captured instantly on a shared record, which it says "maximizes the potential for zero-friction reconciliation." A shared ledger means the buyer, the supplier and the funder all read one record of the same draft, which is the reconciliation gain PrimeRevenue is pointing to.
The second claim is distribution. Tokenizing ETDs "connects PrimeRevenue's global network of funding partners directly to on-chain capital markets," the release says, and the company's ambition is "to extend access to eligible on-chain investors over time." PrimeRevenue says it chose Solana because the network "combines fast, low-cost transactions with a growing ecosystem of institutional investors, asset managers and tokenized asset providers."
"Bringing Electronic Time Drafts to Solana is the first step in moving traditional trade finance onto infrastructure that is transparent by design, settles in seconds and is accessible to capital anywhere in the world," PrimeRevenue CEO PJ Bain said in the release.
Ben Brophy, Head of Institutional Growth, Europe at the Solana Foundation, said in the same release that PrimeRevenue is "putting real corporate payment obligations onchain," and tied the move to the stablecoins and tokenized assets already on the network.
What the PrimeRevenue release does not say yet
The announcement is a statement of plans. It does not name the token standard, whether the tokens will be restricted to approved holders, which investors qualify as "eligible," what returns funders might earn, or how much ETD volume will move on-chain. It also does not explain how the on-chain record relates to the legal claim against the buyer. Beyond ETDs, PrimeRevenue says it "sees potential" to bring a wider range of working capital instruments on-chain; the release attaches no timeline to that either.
Where trade finance receivables fit in Solana's real-world asset push
On paper, short-dated corporate payment obligations suit tokenization well. Each ETD has a fixed amount, a fixed maturity date and a named buyer who owes the money, and PrimeRevenue already tracks every one of them electronically, so an on-chain token can mirror a record that exists today. The open question is whether outside capital shows up to buy them once access widens, and the release offers no figures on that.
Short-duration credit is already being tested on Solana from the DeFi side. Kamino Finance KMNO$0.044-1.2% runs an AUTO market built on tokenized consumer loans that Kamino says has grown quickly since it added fixed-rate borrowing in September. PrimeRevenue's plan comes at it from the other direction: an incumbent trade finance platform with an existing book of corporate obligations and funders, announced four days after J.P. Morgan Asset Management brought two tokenized money market funds to Solana.
The first thing to watch is a live issuance: the first ETD minted on Solana, who holds it, and whether PrimeRevenue names the platform doing the tokenization.
