Beezie teams with The Luxury Closet to tokenize authenticated Hermès

Collectibles platform Beezie announced a partnership with The Luxury Closet on September 3 to bring authenticated physical luxury goods onto Solana, beginning with Hermès Birkin bags. Each physical item is vaulted and paired with an on-chain digital twin; token holders can trade it, ship it, or swap it back to the platform for up to 92% of fair market value, per the official announcement.

Beezie made the announcement via its own account. The Luxury Closet, the Middle East's largest luxury resale marketplace, is the supply and authentication partner.

How Authentication and On-Chain Ownership Work

The pipeline starts with The Luxury Closet's in-house team, which sources and verifies each item before listing. Once authenticated, the physical piece is tokenized on Solana and moved into secure vault storage. The corresponding token carries full ownership: the holder can vault indefinitely, request global shipment, or immediately swap back for up to 92% of the item's fair market value.

That buyback floor gives each token a defined liquidity baseline. Beezie is not fractionalizing the items; one token equals one whole item, and redemption swaps the full physical good.

The launch uses Beezie's existing "Claw" format: blind shopping bags with published odds. A collector buys in, the item is revealed on open, and they choose their next step.

Launch Inventory: Birkin 40, Batman Rolex, Van Cleef Alhambra

The inaugural activation includes an Hermès Birkin 40, a classic black Chanel handbag, his-and-hers Dior and Louis Vuitton duffels, a Batman Rolex GMT-Master II, and an 18k yellow gold Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra necklace, according to the press release.

Beezie describes the initial focus as items that are scarce and difficult to source, applying the same collecting dynamics it developed in trading cards to the luxury category. A broader always-on marketplace with thousands of items across multiple price points is planned for later in 2026.

Beezie's Volume Base on Flow and Base Before Solana

Beezie built its original volume on Flow before expanding to Base. By its May 2026 Solana launch, the platform had crossed $100M in Base volume, logged more than 530,000 instant buyback swaps at approximately a 90% rate, and reached $142M in annualized revenue. Q1 2026 sales hit $70M, according to Sporting Crypto. Cumulative Claw machine pulls had surpassed 1 million as of that same launch.

The May announcement cited Solana's throughput and sub-cent transaction costs as the fit for the high-frequency buying and selling that physical-asset tokenization generates. CEO Andrea Miele said at the time that Solana is "where the next wave of collectors will find us."

Beezie is backed by Moonrock Capital, Devmons, Legendary, and Techstars, with early investment from Dapper Labs CEO Roham Gharegozlou.

The Luxury Closet and the Global Luxury Resale Market

The Luxury Closet, based in Dubai and led by CEO Kunal Kapoor, runs its own in-house authentication team and global sourcing operation. Its authentication infrastructure is the supply-side foundation of the deal: Beezie builds the on-chain ownership layer and the gamified commerce experience, while The Luxury Closet handles sourcing, verification, and physical custody of goods before vaulting.

The global luxury resale market reached $41.6 billion in 2026, growing at a 9.6% compound annual rate, according to market research data. Authenticated resale is a segment where provenance already matters acutely offline; the on-chain layer adds transferability and a verifiable ownership record without changing how the underlying goods are sourced or verified.

Why Authenticated Luxury Is a Legible RWA Category on Solana

Hermès Birkin bags have a decades-established secondary market and tight supply controls from Hermès itself, characteristics Beezie cites for focusing there first. Their scarcity and consistent resale demand create conditions where a 92% buyback floor is operationally supportable rather than aspirational.

The broader physical collectibles tokenization space on Solana has produced over $150M in annualized trading card volume, per Decrypt's reporting on the May announcement. Luxury goods carry higher average item values and stricter authentication requirements, but the core mechanic is the same: vault the physical item, issue the token, let the market trade the token.

Beezie's blind-bag format targets the active side of collecting rather than passive holding. The 92% buyback floor converts the experience into something closer to a defined-outcome product: a collector who opens a bag and wants to exit immediately has a known floor rather than an uncertain secondary sale.
