Trustee Wallet
Trustee Wallet is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet supporting multiple assets, providing users full control over private keys while enabling direct blockchain interactions.
Trustee Global
Trustee Global is a Lithuania-registered virtual asset service provider that has been building crypto wallet infrastructure since 2016. The company operates two interconnected products under the trusteeglobal.eu domain: Trustee Wallet, a non-custodial self-custody application developed in partnership with BlockSoftLab, and Trustee Plus, a newer offering that bundles the same wallet with a Mastercard-branded payment card and a fiat account. Together they serve more than 500,000 users primarily across Eastern and Central Europe.
Trustee Wallet
The original Trustee Wallet is a non-custodial mobile application for iOS and Android. Users retain full control of their private keys, and the software is open-source. The app supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, NEAR, and more than 50 other assets, covering thousands of tokens across ERC-20, BEP-20, and SPL standards. A built-in Smart Swap system routes exchanges across multiple liquidity providers to surface competitive rates without leaving the app.
Solana support is a first-class feature. Users can hold SOL and SPL tokens, send and receive on-chain, and participate in native SOL staking directly from the wallet interface. The staking flow allows users to delegate to a validator of their choice by entering the validator's address. Stake activates at the start of the next Solana epoch, roughly two to three days after delegation, and rewards accumulate from that point forward. Users can open multiple stake accounts, delegate to different validators simultaneously, and request withdrawal at any time. Trustee Wallet is listed in the official Solana ecosystem directory at solana.com.
Trustee Plus
Trustee Plus is the company's flagship product as of 2025. It extends the self-custody wallet with a regulated fiat layer: a European IBAN account and a Mastercard payment card issued through a partner processor. The card can be issued virtually in under 59 seconds and is supported on Apple Pay and Google Pay. A physical plastic card is available for a one-time fee; a metal variant is also offered at a higher price point.
The card operates on a transparent fee model. There are no fees on deposits to the card balance, no storage fees, and no fees on transfers between Trustee Plus users. The foreign exchange markup on card purchases runs between 0.5% and 1.5% depending on the currency pair. Monthly ATM withdrawal allowances range from roughly 200 to 500 euros depending on the user's account tier. Cashback on card spending is paid in cryptocurrency at up to 2%. The app also runs a two-tier referral program and a Trustee Points rewards system with seasonal leaderboard competitions.
The wallet side of Trustee Plus remains non-custodial: users control private keys for on-chain assets. The card balance, denominated in euros, operates under a custodial structure through the licensed entity. Trustee Plus supports fiat deposits and withdrawals in EUR, USD, Ukrainian hryvnia, and Polish zloty, with direct integration with Ukrainian retail banks including PrivatBank, Monobank, and Oschadbank.
Regulatory Status and the Ukraine Restriction
UAB Trustee Global holds a VASP registration in Lithuania under the country's Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing framework. Lithuania updated its crypto regulatory regime at the start of 2026, requiring crypto-asset service providers to obtain a CASP authorization from the Bank of Lithuania in place of the prior VASP registration.
The most significant regulatory event in the company's history occurred in September 2025. The National Bank of Ukraine issued an order requiring Trustee Global UAB to suspend two specific services for Ukrainian residents: peer-to-peer euro transfers within Trustee Plus, and euro transfers between a user's Trustee Plus account and external accounts. The decision was announced on September 22-23, 2025, following concerns that the combination of the non-custodial crypto wallet and the euro-denominated payment card was enabling some Ukrainian users to convert local assets into euros and spend or withdraw abroad, effectively bypassing Ukraine's foreign exchange controls. The regulator cited provision of unlicensed financial payment services as the basis for its action.
The company's CEO, Vadym Hrusha, stated publicly that of seven initial concerns raised by the NBU, five were resolved. Existing Ukrainian users were still permitted to hold and transact in crypto assets through the wallet. Following the restriction, Trustee Plus reduced its Ukrainian market presence.
Security and Auditing
Trustee Plus has completed a security audit conducted by Hacken, a blockchain security firm. The wallet's non-custodial design means the company does not have access to user private keys for on-chain holdings. The app supports biometric authentication and two-factor authentication. Bank-grade data encryption is applied to all stored data.
Geographic Availability
Trustee Plus is primarily available in Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Romania. The company lists Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Georgia, and Kazakhstan as active expansion markets. The service is not available to users in the United States. The app interface is offered in Ukrainian and Russian among other languages, reflecting the company's Eastern European user base.
App Distribution and Ratings
Trustee Plus is distributed through the Apple App Store under developer name Trustee Global and through the Google Play Store under the package identifier com.trusteewallet. As of mid-2025, the iOS app carried a rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars from more than 5,900 ratings. User reviews describe the app as accessible for newcomers to cryptocurrency while noting that account verification requirements and customer support response times have been sources of friction for some users.
