About

Tria

Tria is a self-custodial neobank and chain abstraction platform that lets users trade, earn, and spend cryptocurrency without surrendering control of their private keys. Founded in 2022 by Vijit Katta (CEO) and Parth Bhalla (CTO), the project spent roughly two years in development before opening public access in late 2025. The team of approximately 40 contributors includes alumni from Binance, OKX, Polygon, OpenSea, Nethermind, the Ethereum Foundation, and Intel.

The platform's primary objective is to close the gap between the usability of traditional banking apps and the self-custody principles of Web3. Where most crypto card products rely on centralized custodians to hold user funds, Tria routes all activity through smart-contract wallets the user controls, with no need to manage raw seed phrases.

Core Technology

Tria's infrastructure rests on two proprietary systems.

BestPath AVS is a decentralized settlements marketplace functioning as an Actively Validated Service (AVS) on EigenLayer. Solvers, routers, and relayers compete to route transactions across chains, with the engine selecting the Pareto-optimal path for each swap or payment. BestPath supports more than 200 blockchains including Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Polygon, Avalanche, Cosmos chains, Bitcoin Layer 1 and Layer 2s, Injective, Berachain, and others. Users get gasless cross-chain execution without manually bridging assets or holding native gas tokens on each chain. As of the company's October 2025 fundraise, BestPath routed transactions for 250,000+ users and was integrated by 70+ protocols and AI ecosystems.

Account abstraction underlies the wallet layer. Tria implements ERC-4337 with a Threshold Signature Scheme (TSS) / MPC custody model, enabling social login via Google authentication, gas sponsorship through a paymaster system, social recovery without seed phrases, session keys for delegated dApp permissions, and transaction batching. This means new users can create a non-custodial wallet using a familiar email login and interact with any supported chain without understanding gas mechanics.

Unchained is Tria's own Layer 2, built as an Arbitrum Orbit chain running the Move Virtual Machine (MoveVM) with IBC compatibility. It serves as a unified settlement and liquidity layer across the otherwise fragmented chain landscape.

TriAI is an AI layer that translates natural-language commands into executable multi-step blockchain transactions, sitting on top of BestPath AVS as an intent-resolution system.

Product Suite

Tria Wallet (Tria OS): A mobile smart-contract wallet that aggregates balances across all supported chains into a single unified view. Users see a single portfolio number regardless of how assets are distributed across different networks.

Tria Card: A Visa-powered debit card available in three tiers — Virtual, Signature, and Premium — accepted at 130+ million merchants in 150+ countries. The card supports more than 1,000 tokens as funding sources and offers up to 6% cashback. In December 2025, Tria added non-custodial Bitcoin top-ups, allowing users to fund the card directly from self-custodied Bitcoin without going through a centralized intermediary. The team reported $29 million in Visa card volume within the first four months after launch.

Earn: Users can deploy idle balances into audited on-chain yield strategies targeting up to 15% APY. Earnings can be configured to automatically offset card spending.

Trade: Cross-chain token swaps execute through BestPath's best-route algorithm, with no requirement for the user to hold destination-chain gas tokens.

Perpetuals: Self-custodial perpetual futures trading with leverage up to 50x, executed cross-chain.

US Bank Account: US citizens can hold IBAN-style USD accounts within the Tria app, bridging fiat and on-chain balances.

Traction and Milestones

Tria reported passing $20 million in cumulative transaction volume within its first three months of public activity in early 2024. By January 2026, the platform had surpassed 425,000 registered users and $100 million in total transaction volume. As of mid-2026, the website reports 500,000+ users and $800M+ in trading volume. The project runs an active ambassador program and a rewards points system (XP) to drive user acquisition.

Funding

In October 2025, Tria closed a $12 million pre-seed and strategic funding round led by P2 Ventures, with participation from Aptos Labs and the Tria user community. The round also drew backing from executives at Polygon, the Ethereum Foundation, Wintermute, Sentient, 0G, Concrete, and Eigen. Polychain Capital and Polygon served as pre-seed advisors. The company announced plans for a public allocation round to allow its user base to take ownership stakes in the platform.

Token

The $TRIA token launched via an IDO in April 2024 and reached centralized exchange listings in May 2024. The token is issued as an ERC-20 on Ethereum and Arbitrum and as a BEP-20 on BNB Smart Chain. Stated utilities include staking for governance, fee discounts, gas sponsorship eligibility, settlement within the BestPath network, and user rewards.

Solana Integration

Solana is one of the core chains supported by BestPath. Users can hold SOL and Solana-based tokens in their unified Tria wallet, swap them cross-chain through BestPath's routing engine, and spend them via the Tria Visa card without bridging to another network first. Tria's chain abstraction approach treats Solana as a native execution environment on par with EVM chains — users are not required to switch wallets or manage separate accounts per chain.
