How It Works

SimpleSwap does not hold an order book or pool funds itself. The platform never holds funds beyond the brief period of an active swap.

Users can choose between two pricing modes. A floating rate is determined at the moment the deposit confirms, meaning the final output amount may differ slightly from the initial estimate depending on market movement during confirmation. A fixed rate locks the quoted conversion for approximately 20 minutes, giving users certainty on the output amount at the cost of a slightly wider spread to cover the platform's hedging risk.

Key Features

No registration. Standard crypto-to-crypto swaps require no account, email, or identity verification. KYC may be triggered for fiat purchases or if a transaction is flagged by risk systems, but the baseline wallet-to-wallet flow is permissionless.

Fiat on-ramp. Users can purchase crypto directly with a Mastercard or Visa card, making SimpleSwap a bridging point for new entrants as well as experienced traders moving between assets.

SOL ranks among the platform's most actively traded assets, with SOL-ETH, ETH-SOL, and BTC-SOL appearing in its top trading pairs. The platform added approximately 450 assets during 2025–2026. As of mid-2026 it also added support for tokenized real-world assets including stocks and metals.

SimpleSwap embeds all costs — liquidity spreads, service markup, and network fees — into the displayed conversion rate rather than listing them as a separate line item. The effective total cost of a swap typically falls in the range of 1–3% of transaction value, varying with asset liquidity and market conditions. This all-in rate model simplifies the user experience but reduces fee transparency compared to exchanges that display explicit taker fees.

The non-custodial transaction model is the platform's primary security feature: SimpleSwap does not maintain user wallets or store funds between swaps, which limits the attack surface compared to custodial exchanges. No third-party security audits of the platform's infrastructure are publicly documented.
