Orbit

Orbit is an autonomous treasury engine and DeFi abstraction layer built on Solana by the SphereOne team. It lets users and AI agents execute complex cross-chain financial operations — swaps, staking, payments, and yield management — through a simple natural-language chat interface, without requiring code or deep protocol knowledge. The platform currently spans 117 blockchains and over 200 DeFi protocols, with Solana serving as its native home chain and the Raydium DEX as its primary liquidity venue.

Core Mechanism

At its heart, Orbit is designed to abstract away the friction that typically defines DeFi: switching wallets, navigating separate protocol UIs, manually bridging assets, and monitoring positions across chains. Users type instructions in plain language — for example, "swap SOL for USDC and deposit to the highest-yield pool" — and Orbit's AI agents interpret those commands, route the transactions across appropriate protocols, and execute them autonomously.

The platform's agent architecture goes beyond simple command execution. Agents can be configured to run recurrently, continuously repositioning capital to the highest risk-adjusted opportunities without further human input. This makes Orbit more akin to an autonomous treasury manager than a simple trade aggregator. The AI layer analyzes protocol conditions in real time, selecting the optimal execution path across liquidity sources, bridges, and yield products.

Orbit also supports agent-to-agent economic coordination. Agents can hire and pay other specialized agents for discrete tasks, enabling modular financial automation. A single user strategy might involve a sentiment-analysis agent gathering social intelligence, an LP-specialist agent deploying liquidity, and a payment agent handling cross-chain disbursements — all operating in concert.

Key Features

Natural Language Interface: Users interact through a chat UI rather than protocol-specific dashboards. Complex multi-step operations are reduced to plain English instructions.

Skill Tree System: Users can build and customize their own AI agents using a modular skill tree, selecting from capabilities including liquidity provision, stablecoin management, yield farming, and social data analysis. This allows non-technical users to design agents tailored to their specific DeFi strategies.

Autonomous Yield Management: Strategies execute continuously without human intervention, with capital always seeking the highest risk-adjusted return across the integrated protocol set.

Cross-Chain Coverage: Orbit supports over 117 blockchains, enabling seamless execution from Solana to EVM chains without requiring users to manage separate wallets or bridge transactions manually.

Solana Pay Integration: Orbit has integrated Solana Pay into its payment layer, enabling users and merchants to accept crypto payments from any blockchain with automatic token swaps and cross-chain bridging handled invisibly. Users pay without wallet setup complexity; businesses receive funds without requiring manual reconciliation.

AI Market Intelligence: The platform integrates external AI intelligence signals, including market narrative tracking, to refine agent trading strategies based on community sentiment and on-chain data patterns.

Agent-to-Agent Payments: The architecture supports autonomous economic relationships between agents, where specialized sub-agents can be compensated directly for completing tasks — a primitive for composable financial automation.

Token: GRIFT

GRIFT is Orbit's native Solana-based token, launched on December 6, 2024, via the Pump.fun launchpad. The total supply is approximately 999.99 million tokens, with nearly the full supply in circulation. GRIFT functions as the protocol's economic unit: it is used for agent-to-agent payments, staking, liquidity provision, governance participation, and accessing platform rewards.

The token had a public sale allocation of 5 million tokens (0.5% of supply), distributed via a Launchpool mechanism at a valuation of $50,000. GRIFT is primarily traded on Raydium as the GRIFT/SOL pair. As a token launched on Pump.fun, GRIFT entered the market with minimal initial capital and is subject to high volatility.

Team and Backers

Orbit is a product of SphereOne, an AI infrastructure company focused on cross-chain payment and financial automation infrastructure. SphereOne has attracted backing from a range of institutional investors and technology partners, including Distributed Global, Quantstamp, Google for Startups, Newark Ventura Partners, ALT, Bolt, Seda, and Zero Knowledge. Quantstamp's involvement is notable given the firm's focus on smart contract security auditing. No individual team members have been publicly identified in official documentation.

Audit and Security Status

No independent smart contract audit for the GRIFT token or Orbit's agent contracts has been publicly confirmed at the time of writing. Quantstamp, a major smart contract auditing firm, is listed as an investor and infrastructure partner in SphereOne's backer roster, though this is a venture relationship rather than a formal product audit disclosure.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

Although Orbit supports over a hundred blockchains, Solana is its native execution environment. GRIFT trades natively on Raydium, the GRIFT contract lives on Solana, and the platform's Solana Pay integration positions Orbit within Solana's growing payments infrastructure. Orbit fits squarely within the DeFAI (DeFi + AI) narrative that emerged prominently on Solana in late 2024 and into 2025. Its differentiator is breadth of chain coverage combined with an agent-to-agent economic coordination layer, which aligns with Solana's ambitions as a high-throughput settlement layer for machine-to-machine financial activity.
