About

Natix Network

Natix Network is a Hamburg-founded decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) built on Solana that turns existing cameras — smartphones, dashcams, and vehicle-mounted devices — into a coordinated sensor layer for autonomous driving and Physical AI development. Participants contribute anonymized video data and earn NATIX tokens in return; that data is sold to automotive companies, AI labs, and mapping providers that need high-quality, privacy-compliant real-world driving footage at scale.

Core Mechanism

The network operates in three stages. First, edge-based AI running on the contributor's own device analyzes video streams in real time, strips personally identifiable information (faces, license plates), and packages events for upload. Second, multiple validation layers confirm data accuracy and authenticity before the submission is accepted by the network. Third, enterprise partners purchase access to the validated dataset, and market demand shapes contributor reward levels.

This edge-first design is central to Natix's privacy pitch: raw footage never leaves the device; only anonymized, processed outputs are transmitted. The project frames this as a regulatory advantage over traditional camera network operators that face mounting friction under data-protection law in the EU and elsewhere.

Products

The Drive& smartphone app is the primary data-collection tool. Users install it, drive their normal routes, and the app passively maps roads and captures edge-case driving events. By mid-2025 the network had reached roughly 2.89 million registered drivers across 33 countries, generating more than 165,000 monthly multi-camera hours.

In 2025, Natix launched the VX360, a dashcam device co-developed with Grab that plugs into Tesla vehicles to collect 360-degree multi-camera footage — a higher-quality data tier than the smartphone app alone. By December 2025, some 43,000 VX360 drivers had collectively contributed over 95,000 hours of footage and mapped more than 97 million kilometres of road.

Partnerships and Enterprise Adoption

Several high-profile partnerships validate the data supply chain:

  • Grab: Southeast Asia's superapp partnered with Natix to combine GrabMaps' AI-powered mapmaking with Natix's decentralized contributor base. The VX360 hardware is built on Grab's platform. The two companies are targeting expansion into the US and Europe with continuously refreshed, blockchain-verified map data.
  • Valeo: The French automotive technology supplier co-developed an open-source multi-camera AI model for autonomous vehicles — the World Foundation Model (WFM) — using Natix contributor data.
  • University of Freiburg: In July 2026, Natix data powered Orbis 2, the university's second World Foundation Model for autonomous driving research.
  • Additional enterprise data relationships with Google, NVIDIA, and Amazon are cited on the platform.

Token: $NATIX

The $NATIX token launched on Solana with a total supply of 100 billion. It serves as the unit of account for network-level activity: contributors earn NATIX for validated submissions, holders can stake for passive yield, and the token is used for governance and in-app utilities such as premium features and data-access subscriptions. An early airdrop of 1 billion tokens (1% of total supply) was distributed to contributors in milestone-based batches as the network hit mapping targets.

Solana was selected for its throughput and low transaction costs, which are necessary to handle the micro-reward flows generated by millions of daily driving events. The project also uses Peaq's DePIN infrastructure components for multi-chain compatibility.

Funding and Investors

Natix has raised $9.6 million across multiple rounds. The most recent strategic round of $4.6 million was led by Borderless Capital and Tioga Capital, with participation from Nomura's Laser Digital, Big Brain Holdings, Escape Velocity, IoTeX, WAGMI Ventures, and Moonrock Capital. Earlier backers include DCG, Crypto.com, and Velocity Capital.

DePAI Expansion

As of 2026 Natix has broadened its positioning from autonomous driving to "Decentralized Physical AI" (DePAI), arguing that real-world multi-camera datasets used to train self-driving systems are equally applicable to robotics and humanoid AI. The same data infrastructure and contributor incentives that serve automotive clients are being offered to robotics developers that need grounded real-world sensory training data.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

Natix is one of the more established DePIN projects in the Solana ecosystem, with institutional backing, active enterprise partnerships, a consumer device in the field, and a live token. Its focus on camera-based video data differentiates it from GPS-trace networks such as Hivemapper. The combination of on-device AI anonymization, Solana-based token incentives, and demonstrated enterprise offtake positions Natix as a practical example of DePIN infrastructure addressing a real commercial data-supply problem in the autonomous vehicle and Physical AI markets.
