Junction Exchange is a multi-chain decentralized exchange that enables users to swap and bridge digital assets across multiple blockchains through a unified interface. The platform implements smart routing technology to optimize trade execution and provides access to DeFi opportunities across various blockchain ecosystems. Users can trade tokens, transfer assets between chains, and participate in earning programs through a single application that abstracts the complexity of cross-chain interactions.

[[PROJECT:1751]] is a cross-chain DeFi aggregator that routes swaps, bridges, perpetual futures, and lending from a single interface across more than 30 blockchain networks, with Solana included as a first-class destination and source chain alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cosmos, and Hyperliquid L1.
From Ctrl Wallet's Routing Engine to Standalone Product
Junction did not start from scratch. For roughly a year before its public debut, its routing engine powered Ctrl Wallet, handling cross-chain swaps for more than 30,000 users and processing hundreds of millions of dollars in volume. When the team spun the engine out as a standalone product, they carried those live integrations with them, entering the market with a demonstrable production track record rather than a whitepaper.
The project is based in Singapore. Its advisors and backers include Nicolas Bacca, co-founder of Ledger, and Anton Bukov, co-founder of 1inch — figures whose earlier work became foundational infrastructure across EVM chains. Kronos Research, a market-making firm, provides additional backing.
An Aggregator of Aggregators
Junction holds no liquidity pools of its own. Instead, it queries and routes through an integrated set of established DeFi protocols in real time, selecting the path that optimises for rate, gas cost, and bridge performance at the moment of execution.
For same-chain swaps, the routing engine pulls from 1inch, 0x, LiFi, and OpenOcean. For cross-chain transfers and bridges, it integrates Socket, Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) for stablecoin moves, THORChain, Maya Protocol, SwapKit, and Chainflip. Perpetual futures execution routes to Hyperliquid L1. Morpho vaults provide the lending and yield layer. Fiat on-ramps accept card, bank transfer, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.
At beta launch in April 2025, Junction supported more than 30 chains: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Cosmos zone tokens, and Hyperliquid, among others. The roadmap targets coverage of 100 or more chains.
Solana's position in the routing graph is meaningful beyond a checkbox. SOL and Solana-native tokens are available as both source and destination in cross-chain routes, and Junction's perpetuals layer operates on Hyperliquid L1, which maintains its own connectivity to Solana-side liquidity. A Solana user can move from a native SPL token through a cross-chain bridge and into a leveraged position on Hyperliquid from the same interface.
Four Product Lines
Junction organises its functionality across four areas:
Junction Exchange is the consumer-facing trading application at app.junction.exchange. It presents swap, bridge, perps, and earn in a unified UI designed to resemble a centralised exchange in simplicity while remaining fully non-custodial.
Junction API exposes the routing engine programmatically. Developers query for optimal swap paths, execute cross-chain transfers, or access Morpho lending vaults through a REST endpoint or GraphQL gateway.
Junction Connector handles wallet and account connectivity, supporting multi-wallet configurations, social logins, and connections across different ecosystems from a single entry point.
Junction Earn manages the referral and reward infrastructure — currently a points and XP system that the project plans to connect to its forthcoming token program.
Developer Infrastructure and AI Agent Support
One of Junction's more distinctive architectural choices is the inclusion of a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server alongside its standard developer tooling. MCP is an emerging standard that enables AI assistants and autonomous agents to discover and invoke external APIs without manual integration work.
Junction packages its routing functions — swap, bridge, earn — in a machine-readable format that MCP-compatible systems can call directly. The platform also publishes an OpenAPI 3.1 specification, a TypeScript SDK, and an embeddable widget for more conventional application integration. The combined developer surface positions Junction to capture volume from AI-agent DeFi tooling as that market grows, a segment that most retail-facing aggregators have not explicitly targeted.
The GitHub organisation (junction-exchange) hosts API documentation in MDX format, with recorded pull request activity through April 2026.
Roadmap and the JUN Token
Junction's roadmap defined development in phases. The alpha ran through early 2025, expanding chain support and refining routing under controlled conditions. The public beta launched on April 2, 2025 with access-code gating, opening gradually to community testing and bug reporting.
Phase 2, planned for June–July 2025, targeted the first version of the points system and live referral codes. Phase 3, spanning August through October 2025, outlined monthly reward seasons with in-app quests, XP, and leaderboards.
A JUN token is confirmed in project documentation. As of the beta launch, no contract address had been published, with the team stating the official account would announce the live address when ready. The token generation event date remains unannounced.
Market Context
Cross-chain aggregation is a competitive vertical. On Solana, Jupiter handles the bulk of same-chain swap aggregation. For cross-chain flows, deBridge, Wormhole, and LayerZero each carry significant volume. Junction's differentiated positioning rests on breadth: routing not just across EVM chains but across Bitcoin, Cosmos, UTXO chains, and Solana in a single product, with perpetuals and lending layered on top rather than offered as separate applications.
The API-first developer infrastructure, and particularly the MCP integration, addresses a market that retail-facing aggregators have mostly not built for. Whether that positioning generates durable volume depends on AI-agent DeFi tooling reaching sufficient critical mass — an open question at launch, though the architecture anticipates the direction the market appears to be moving.
Community metrics at launch were early-stage: approximately 2,000 X followers and 490 Telegram members. Trading volume metrics on the site displayed zeros at launch, consistent with a product that had run live volume through Ctrl Wallet under a different brand before the standalone exchange became publicly visible.
