Inbestgo

[[PROJECT:1753]] is a Guatemala-based crypto and digital finance platform targeting retail users and small businesses across Latin America. Founded in 2019, it positions itself as a regulated, accessible entry point into cryptocurrency for a region historically underserved by international exchanges. The platform supports trading of more than 400 digital assets, local-currency on-ramps in Guatemalan quetzales and US dollars, prepaid Mastercard crypto debit cards, and cross-border payment infrastructure built on stablecoins. A mobile app available on iOS and Android serves as the primary interface.

The Core App: Three Wallets, One Platform

Inbestgo organises its user account into three distinct wallet types, each serving a different financial purpose.

The Funds wallet is the primary holding account. Users deposit fiat currency here via bank transfer in either quetzales or dollars, and the balance is available for conversion into crypto. The Trade wallet is where buy and sell orders are executed across the platform's asset catalogue of 400+ cryptocurrencies, starting from a minimum of Q10 (approximately US$1.30 at prevailing exchange rates). The Card wallet is linked directly to the user's Mastercard prepaid card, funding purchases and receiving cashback rewards automatically.

The separation of functions reflects a common design pattern in fintech apps targeting first-time crypto users: a clear boundary between "this is money I'm saving," "this is money I'm trading," and "this is money I'm spending" reduces the friction of learning a new financial system.

Registration is free, and the KYC process follows standard identity verification procedures. The company describes itself as compliant with applicable Anti-Money Laundering regulations in the markets where it operates.

Crypto Debit Cards: First Mastercard Rewards Card in Guatemala

Inbestgo operates what it describes as Guatemala's first cryptocurrency rewards prepaid card, issued through a Mastercard partnership and usable wherever Mastercard is accepted globally. Three card tiers are available: XNITER, Cryptonaut, and To The Moon Lite. Each tier carries different cashback rates, ranging from 0.25% to 1.5% on purchases, with rewards paid automatically in cryptocurrency rather than fiat.

Cards can be reloaded from the user's quetzales or USDT balance without hidden conversion fees, and spending is controlled entirely through the app. The cashback mechanism gives users a passive accumulation path: everyday purchases at physical stores or online retailers generate crypto deposits, bypassing the need for users to actively time buy orders.

INBESTGOLD: Reduced-Fee Membership Tier

Standard platform fees on Inbestgo are 1% for bank deposits, 1.5% for withdrawals, and 1% for crypto conversions. A premium membership tier, INBESTGOLD, reduces those rates substantially: bank deposits drop to 0%, withdrawals to 0%, and crypto conversions to 0.75%. Membership is priced at Q60 per month (approximately US$7.50) or Q600 annually (approximately US$75), making it a break-even proposition for users who regularly move funds above roughly Q6,000 per month in combined activity.

Cross-Border Payments and B2B Stablecoin Infrastructure

Beyond consumer features, Inbestgo operates on-ramp and off-ramp infrastructure aimed at companies transacting internationally. According to the company's own published materials, the platform enables businesses to enter and exit stablecoin positions and convert the proceeds to local currency for deposit into bank accounts in Guatemala and other Latin American countries.

The target use case is the friction of cross-border supplier or payroll payments, where traditional wire transfers carry multi-day settlement windows, correspondent banking fees, and volatile FX spreads. Inbestgo's stablecoin routing replaces the correspondent-banking leg with on-chain settlement and a final local-currency conversion at the receiving end. Specific supported stablecoins in the FAQ include USDT and USDC.

Security and Hardware Wallet Integration

On the security side, Inbestgo has partnered with Arculus, a hardware wallet provider, to offer cold storage options to users who want to move assets off the platform's custodial environment. The primary app enforces two-factor authentication including Face ID and password protection, and the company states that client funds are held separately from company assets.

The platform's custody arrangement is described as standard centralised exchange custody for on-platform balances, with the Arculus partnership offering an exit path for self-custody. Users retain the option of withdrawing to any compatible external wallet address.

Solana on Inbestgo

Solana is among the blockchain networks Inbestgo supports for deposits, withdrawals, and trading. The platform's FAQ lists Solana alongside Ethereum, Bitcoin, Binance Smart Chain, Cardano, Polkadot, Avalanche, and several other networks as supported chains for incoming and outgoing transactions. SOL is available in the trading catalogue and can be purchased, sold, or held within the platform's custodial wallets, or transferred out to a self-custodied Solana address.

For Central American users, Inbestgo is one of the accessible paths to on-chain Solana exposure that bypasses the friction of international KYC with major global exchanges. The platform's quetzal-denominated on-ramps and low minimum investment threshold make SOL accessible from a starting balance of Q10, without requiring a dollar-denominated bank account or an international wire transfer.

Background and Market Position

Inbestgo has been operating in Guatemala since 2019, with the company describing itself as a pioneer in blockchain-based financial services in the country. The platform has expanded its offering over that period from a basic crypto wallet to the current multi-product setup encompassing trading, payments, cards, and enterprise infrastructure.

Educational outreach is part of its strategy: Inbestgo publishes educational content about crypto fundamentals on social media, runs a YouTube course, and produces a podcast called "Cryptocean" aimed at Spanish-speaking audiences. The blog, published in Spanish, covers topics ranging from Bitcoin basics to stablecoin mechanics and how to optimise Guatemala's annual Bono 14 bonus, connecting crypto access to real-world financial decisions its users face.

The platform targets the segment of the Latin American population that holds smartphones and bank accounts but finds international crypto infrastructure either inaccessible or intimidating. The company's consistent use of the Guatemalan quetzal in all pricing, local bank partnership for cash-in/cash-out, and WhatsApp customer support channel all reflect a deliberate decision to optimise for local usability over global positioning.
