HighWayPay

HighWayPay is a non-custodial cryptocurrency payment gateway built for businesses that want to accept stablecoin payments without holding customer funds through an intermediary. Operating under the legal entity K22N LLC, the platform targets merchants across both online and physical retail environments and supports stablecoin settlement on four blockchains: Solana, Tron, Ethereum, and Binance Smart Chain.

Core Product

HighWayPay's central proposition is that businesses can accept USDC or USDT from customers without surrendering custody of those funds to a payment processor. When a payment arrives, it is routed directly to a merchant-controlled wallet rather than pooled in a platform-operated account. Merchants can then choose to hold the received stablecoins, convert them to fiat currency, or send them onward to suppliers or employees.

The platform offers two integration paths:

E-commerce and mobile integration. Businesses embed HighWayPay into websites or mobile apps via an API. The integration is designed to require no deep cryptographic knowledge on the merchant side — the checkout flow handles wallet addressing, network selection, and transaction monitoring automatically.

Point-of-sale add-on. For physical retail environments, HighWayPay provides a POS system component that enables in-person stablecoin acceptance. This is positioned at brick-and-mortar businesses ranging from coffee shops to sectors such as cannabis retail, where conventional card networks and banking services can be difficult to access.

K22N Wallet

Alongside its merchant-facing tools, HighWayPay maintains a consumer-facing mobile wallet called K22N Wallet, available on both Google Play and the Apple App Store. The wallet provides end-users with the ability to store, buy, sell, and pay with cryptocurrency. It serves as the payments client through which customers of HighWayPay-integrated merchants complete purchases.

Regulatory Compliance

K22N LLC is registered as a Money Services Business (MSB) with FinCEN, the U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. The platform implements Know Your Customer (KYC) screening and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) controls on transactions. The founding team has in-house AML expertise, and the CTO brings a background in Web3 security. This regulatory posture distinguishes HighWayPay from unregistered crypto payment tools and is particularly relevant for high-risk-category merchants — such as cannabis dispensaries — for whom compliant, non-bank payment rails are scarce.

Supported Chains and Assets

Customers pay with USDC or USDT. The four supported settlement networks — Solana, Tron, Ethereum, and Binance Smart Chain — give merchants and their customers flexibility in which blockchain they use for settlement. Solana's combination of high transaction throughput and low fees makes it well suited for high-frequency, lower-value point-of-sale scenarios where confirmation speed is visible to a waiting customer.

Fees and Economics

HighWayPay positions its pricing against two reference points: traditional bank card processors, which typically charge 1–5% per transaction, and custodial crypto payment platforms, which the company states can charge up to 15%. By settling directly on-chain to merchant wallets and removing custodial intermediaries, HighWayPay aims to reduce per-transaction costs for merchants.

Team and Growth Stage

The project entered the market at an early stage. At the time of publicly available materials, HighWayPay reported approximately ten early-adopter merchants onboard and a stated target of reaching 400 merchant clients within its first year of operation. The founding team described five years of prior collaboration, two prior technology-sector exits, and hands-on AML experience as key differentiators. The CTO and development team have extensive Web3 security experience.

Status Note

As of July 2026, hwpay.io is not returning content (the origin server is timing out on repeated attempts), and the project's official X account (@hwpay_io) shows no recent activity. No public shutdown announcement has been located. Whether the platform is actively processing payments or has gone dormant is unclear from available sources. The description above draws from search-engine-indexed content from hwpay.io and the project's Crunchbase profile.
