GetBlock is a blockchain-as-a-service (BaaS) provider that gives developers plug-and-play RPC access to over 130 blockchain networks without operating or maintaining their own infrastructure. Founded in October 2019 by Vasily Rudomanov and headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia, the platform has grown to serve more than 100,000 active users and processes over 50 billion API requests per month. It is one of the older independent RPC infrastructure providers in the space and has a documented focus on the Solana ecosystem specifically.

Core Mechanism

GetBlock abstracts away the operational overhead of running blockchain nodes by hosting and managing full and archival nodes on behalf of developers. Customers connect via a single endpoint that exposes the chain's native API interface—no node setup, peering, or synchronization required.

Supported access methods include:

  • JSON-RPC — the standard interface for EVM-compatible and Solana RPC calls

Compute units are GetBlock's billing abstraction, normalized across chain complexity so that each method call is weighted by actual resource consumption rather than raw request count.

In July 2026, GetBlock achieved SOC 2 Type II certification, indicating that its security controls, availability, and confidentiality practices have been independently audited over an extended observation period. There is no proprietary token associated with GetBlock.
