Fleek Platform

Fleek Platform enables building and deploying Web3 applications. It enables developers to deploy static sites and apps to IPFS and other networks with one-click deployments and CI/CD integration through Fleek Sites. It leverages edge-optimized serverless functions built on Fleek Network's onchain cloud infrastructure for running backend logic and APIs. Fleek Platform also includes a decentralized file storage and content delivery network built on IPFS.

Fleek

Fleek

Fleek is a decentralized cloud infrastructure company that has evolved across several generations into what it now calls the Agentic Cloud Platform. Founded in 2019 under the name Terminal by CEO Harrison Hines, co-founder Janison Sivarajah, and CTO Alireza Ghadimi, the project began as a developer-facing hosting platform and has since grown into a full-stack environment for building, deploying, and monetizing AI agents and autonomous virtual creators.

From Infrastructure to AI Agents

Fleek started as a simple IPFS hosting service, letting developers push decentralized websites with a few commands rather than running their own nodes. Over time it added ENS and IPNS domain management, dedicated IPFS gateways, and a GraphQL API that abstracts across multiple chains. This made Fleek attractive to dApp teams that wanted decentralized storage without the operational overhead.

The second phase, branded as Fleek Network, reframed the project as a proof-of-stake edge computing layer. Rather than relying on centralized servers to cache and serve content, Fleek Network distributes that work across independent node operators who provide bandwidth, storage, and compute in exchange for token rewards. The consensus mechanism uses Narwhal and Bullshark, adapted here to coordinate service delivery across the edge. A Blake3 hashing scheme handles content addressing and data integrity. The network integrates with Filecoin and Arweave for long-term storage guarantees, and a VM-less design allows direct resource consumption without the overhead of full virtual machines.

The current posture, described as the Agentic Cloud Platform, adds a third layer: AI. Developers can deploy AI agents that run inside Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), providing cryptographic guarantees that code executed exactly as written without any server-side tampering. Fleek Functions offer serverless execution at low cost and high performance relative to AWS Lambda. Fleek Machines are Docker-compatible lightweight virtual machines with TEE integration for heavier workloads. An Agent Marketplace in development will let creators list AI agents for subscriptions, service contracts, and brand partnerships. The stated goal is that any developer, regardless of which LLM or agent framework they prefer, can deploy their entire AI agent stack on Fleek with minimal configuration.

The Social Creator Economy Layer

Alongside the infrastructure evolution, Fleek has built a social platform that turns AI content creation into a tokenized economy. Users can create AI twins, digital personas that ideate, post, and engage with audiences autonomously, as well as purely fictional AI characters that run independently on social platforms around the clock.

Every Fleek account receives a corresponding creator token. These tokens operate on bonding curves: as fans purchase them, price increases along a predetermined curve and supply is progressively locked into liquidity pools, removing tokens from active circulation. Trading generates a 0.5% fee shared across the ecosystem; tips distribute 60% directly to the creator; and buy-back mechanics route 0.2% of all creator token trades into automatic FLK repurchases, creating deflationary pressure on the base token.

The remix feature adds a derivative economy on top. When a user takes an existing post and remixes it with their own style, the original creator automatically earns from every share of the derivative, building network effects similar to how royalties work in music licensing.

FLK Token

FLK is the native utility and governance token of the Fleek ecosystem. It is an ERC-20 token deployed on Base, Coinbase's Ethereum Layer 2. Total supply is capped at 100 million FLK with no inflation mechanism.

Distribution at launch was structured as follows:

  • Team and contributors: 20% (three-year vesting, one-year cliff)
  • Backers and early operators: 20% (matching vesting schedule)
  • Community (staking rewards, ecosystem incentives, DAO/foundation, liquidity): 60%

The project ran a public token sale through CoinList between May 1 and May 8, 2025 at 0.75 USD per token, selling 6.67 million FLK and raising 5 million USD against a 75 million USD fully diluted valuation. Tokens purchased in the public sale unlocked 100% at the Token Generation Event. The TGE and exchange listing occurred on October 14, 2025 on Bitget, Bitrue, MEXC, and additional centralized venues.

FLK's primary utility is as the exclusive base pair for all creator tokens on the platform. Any fan who wants to back a creator must first hold FLK to participate. Node operators on the Fleek Network must stake FLK to be eligible for routing work and rewards. Service fees on the infrastructure side are stablecoin-denominated to give developers predictable pricing, while staking and governance remain FLK-denominated.

Funding and Team

Fleek raised approximately 30 million USD across three institutional rounds led by Polychain Capital, with participation from Coinbase Ventures and Digital Currency Group. The 5 million USD CoinList public sale in May 2025 brought total disclosed capital to approximately 35 million USD.

The founding team includes Harrison Hines (CEO), Janison Sivarajah (co-founder), and Alireza Ghadimi (CTO), based in New York.

Security and Audits

No specific third-party security audit reports from major firms such as Certik, Halborn, or Trail of Bits were identified in public disclosures at the time of writing. The Fleek Contracts repository on GitHub contains Solidity code for the creator economy mechanics, last updated in November 2025. Developers should consult Fleek's official documentation and GitHub directly for the current security posture before deploying significant capital on the platform.

Relationship to Solana and Broader Web3

Fleek's infrastructure layer was designed to be blockchain-agnostic. Its CLI, SDK, UI, and GraphQL API documented support for dApps deployed on Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Cosmos, and Solana. Solana teams that need decentralized front-end hosting, IPFS pinning, or ENS and IPNS domain resolution can use Fleek's tooling without modification to their on-chain code. The Fleek Network's edge compute layer caches and delivers content regardless of which settlement layer the application uses, making it a viable infrastructure candidate for Solana projects that want decentralized hosting for their interfaces while keeping program execution on Solana.

Worth noting: unverified tokens using the Fleek name have appeared on Solana via Pump.fun and similar launchpads. These are not affiliated with the Fleek team. The canonical FLK token is an ERC-20 on Base at contract address 0xe0969ec84456b7e4d3dd2181fb5265edbb63f7bd.

Current State and Outlook

As of late 2025, Fleek's GitHub shows active development across its Dashboard, website, and smart contracts repositories, with commits running through December 2025. The original fleek.xyz domain now redirects to fleek.sh, which at time of writing displayed a minimal teaser reading "We've been building something new. We're excited to share more soon." This signals another product evolution, likely consolidating the infrastructure, AI agent, and social creator features under a unified product surface. The CoinList listing describes Fleek simply as "The Agentic Cloud Platform," suggesting the team is pulling emphasis back toward infrastructure credibility rather than leading with the social creator angle.

The core thesis Fleek is pursuing is that the AI agent economy will need infrastructure guarantees—privacy, verifiability, and censorship resistance—that traditional cloud cannot reliably provide. TEEs and decentralized edge compute let agents operate in environments that no single server operator controls. Whether that combination of infrastructure credibility and creator economy mechanics can carve durable market share against both cloud incumbents and pure SocialFi competitors will define Fleek's next chapter.
