FIA Hub
Fiahub was a Vietnamese cryptocurrency exchange designed to bridge Vietnamese retail investors into crypto markets through a Vietnamese Dong (VND) fiat on-ramp. Founded in April 2018 and operated by DIGITEX Pte Ltd, a Singapore-registered company, it positioned itself as a straightforward entry point for first-time and retail buyers in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
Status: Suspended. On July 11, 2026, Fiahub announced it would officially suspend all operations in Vietnam effective July 31, 2026. The company attributed the decision to regulatory uncertainty surrounding Vietnam's new 0.1% cryptocurrency transaction tax, which took effect on July 1, 2026, and cited the absence of detailed legal implementation guidelines as making continued compliant operation impractical. Fiahub framed the suspension as temporary and stated it would immediately restore operations once a clear regulatory framework is established. Users were instructed to withdraw all assets from the platform before the July 31 deadline.
What It Was
Fiahub operated as a fiat-to-crypto on-ramp targeting Vietnamese retail investors who wanted a low-barrier way to purchase digital assets. The exchange allowed users to deposit and withdraw Vietnamese Dong for free, set a minimum investment threshold of 60,000 VND (roughly $2.50 USD), and offered online KYC verification completable in approximately two minutes.
The platform served hundreds of thousands of customers over its eight-year operational period, per its own description, and was included in independent rankings of the top crypto exchanges serving the Vietnamese market in 2026.
Core Mechanism
The exchange offered three trading interfaces catering to different experience levels:
- Quick mode — instant market buys for new users
- Advanced mode — standard order-book interface
- Pro mode — more granular controls for active traders
Settlement occurred through Fiahub's hot and cold wallet infrastructure with built-in abnormal activity detection. VND deposits and withdrawals were free; crypto trading fees were structured around a tiered VIP system with nine tiers based on 30-day trading volume, ranging from a 0.50% taker fee at the base tier down to 0.07% at the highest volume tier. A 20% maker fee rebate was offered weekly.
Supported Assets
At base tier, Fiahub listed 22 coins covering basic assets, DeFi and NFT tokens, and Layer-1 networks. Pro-tier accounts had access to over 100 coins including BTC, ETH, BNB, USDT, and SOL. The exchange's primary identity was VND-denominated spot trading rather than a Solana-specific or DeFi-native platform.
Team and History
No named founders or executives appeared in public-facing materials. The about page described the team as passionate engineers and finance professionals with extensive experience in Singapore and Vietnam and throughout Asia. The parent entity, DIGITEX Pte Ltd, was registered in Singapore at 111 North Bridge Road, Peninsula Plaza. The company's Twitter/X account (@FIAHUBVN) had no recent public activity as of July 2026.
Regulatory Context
Fiahub's suspension is directly tied to Vietnam's evolving digital asset regulatory environment. Vietnam implemented a 0.1% transaction tax on crypto trades effective July 1, 2026, and authorities moved to restrict access to offshore exchanges in an effort to funnel trading activity toward locally licensed platforms. Fiahub cited the absence of detailed implementation guidelines for the tax as making continued operation legally uncertain. The exchange's stated intent to resume once regulations clarify positions the suspension as a compliance pause rather than a permanent wind-down, though the outcome depends on whether Fiahub seeks and obtains a license under Vietnam's piloted exchange licensing program.
