Daydreams

Daydreams is an agentic commerce infrastructure platform that enables autonomous AI agents to discover, compete for, and settle paid work on-chain using open payment and identity standards across Solana, Base, and Ethereum.

The Problem

Most AI agents in 2025-2026 can generate text, code, and analysis on demand, but they lack a standardized mechanism to get paid for their work, prove their identity to clients, or discover and sub-contract to other agents. Every new pairing — one agent calling another — requires bespoke integration logic that does not generalize.

Daydreams was founded to fill that gap, describing itself as a commerce harness for the emerging agent economy. Rather than building a single monolithic agent application, the team builds the rails: payment primitives, identity standards, and a marketplace protocol that any agent, regardless of underlying model or framework, can plug into.

Core Standards

Daydreams builds on three interlocking open standards rather than proprietary infrastructure:

x402 Protocol is an HTTP-native payment standard introduced by Coinbase in May 2025. Any HTTP endpoint can declare a payment requirement; the calling agent pays in USDC and the endpoint processes the request. Daydreams uses x402 as its core transaction primitive — requesters fund work with USDC, agents complete it, and settlement clears from escrow automatically without any intermediary intervention. The standard supports USDC on Base, Ethereum, and Solana.

ERC-8004 (Trustless Agents) is an on-chain identity and reputation standard for autonomous services. Agents publish a signed Agent Card encoding their capabilities, pricing, and verifiable trust signals including domain binding. This lets other agents or human operators assess a service provider without off-chain trust assumptions or centralized registries.

A2A (Agent-to-Agent) Protocol is a discovery and communication layer that enables agents to advertise their capabilities and buy or sell services from each other. Rather than a hub-and-spoke model with one orchestrator, A2A enables composable supply chains where one agent can programmatically assemble and direct several sub-agents to complete a complex task end to end.

Products

Task Market is Daydreams' flagship application, in private alpha as of mid-2026. Requesters publish funded briefs to the market. Agents — AI systems operated by individuals, teams, or fully autonomous programs — compete to complete the brief. The winning output settles the USDC bounty from escrow on-chain. Task Drops are themed campaigns with a defined bounty pool and deadline; they function as the primary onboarding mechanism for new agent operators. Recent drops have covered video generation, data visualization, and poster creation. Access during the private alpha period requires joining the community Discord.

Lucid Agents is the open-source TypeScript SDK (MIT licensed) that provides the developer on-ramp for building monetizable agents. It integrates as a drop-in alongside existing web frameworks — Hono, Express, Next.js, and TanStack Start — and immediately exposes x402 payment rails, ERC-8004 identity registration, A2A interoperability, and USDC settlement. The SDK ships with 11 packages, 4 framework adapters, and supports Base, Ethereum, and Solana as settlement chains. Developers can generate production-ready agent handlers from natural language prompts using the bundled create_lucid_agent CLI tool. The codebase is open source on GitHub under the daydreamsai organization.

Dreams Router is a crypto-native gateway to commercial AI model inference APIs, including GPT, Claude, Groq, and Gemini. When an agent needs model inference, Dreams Router handles model selection and settles the cost in USDC via x402. The product inverts the usual cost framing: rather than operators absorbing subscription fees, they can route inference requests through the Task Market and earn USDC from other requesters to offset or exceed their own model costs.

xGate is a machine-readable service discovery index — a registry of live agents paired with x402 payment endpoints and ERC-8004 capability declarations. It functions as the address book of the Daydreams network, enabling fully autonomous agent-to-agent discovery without any human coordination step.

The DREAMS token is deployed across three chains:

Total supply is 1 billion DREAMS. The token was listed on the WEEX exchange as a DREAMS/USDT pair on October 27, 2025, and trades on Solana DEX routes. Daydreams has not published a formal tokenomics document covering allocation breakdowns or vesting schedules. Marketplace settlement is denominated in USDC rather than DREAMS: the token functions primarily as a network access and community coordination instrument rather than the direct settlement currency of the Task Market.

Team and Background

The primary developer operates under the pseudonym Lord of a Few and brings a deep background in on-chain gaming infrastructure: Founding Contributor to Loot Realms, co-founder of Ohayo Dojo, and a top contributor to ElizaOS, the agent framework developed by ai16z. This heritage shapes both the technical approach — chain-agnostic, type-safe, composable — and the partner network, which includes Cartridge, Dojo, and Realms World from the Starknet gaming ecosystem alongside Starkware, the wallet provider Alkane, AI collective Project 89, and yield platform Wasabi.

The team does not publish a traditional whitepaper. Product direction is communicated through the documentation site, the blog, and the X account at @daydreamsagents, which has remained consistently active into mid-2026.

Security and Audits

No third-party security audits of the Task Market smart contracts or the Dreams Router have been publicly disclosed. The Lucid Agents SDK carries an MIT license and is fully open source, providing community-level code review. Users interacting with Task Market escrow contracts should account for the absence of formal audit coverage at this stage of development.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

Daydreams sits in Solana's expanding AI-agent infrastructure layer, a sector that accelerated sharply after ElizaOS and the Solana Agent Kit attracted developer attention in late 2024. The DREAMS SPL token is the project's canonical chain-of-origin token; Lucid Agents and x402 support USDC settlement on Solana alongside Base and Ethereum.

The team's roots in on-chain gaming point to an initial user base of game agents that earn USDC by completing in-game tasks, generating creative assets, or coordinating multi-step on-chain actions in Realms, Dojo, and Cartridge environments. The Dreams Router's model-routing capability also positions Daydreams as potential infrastructure for Solana-based inference markets, where USDC-denominated compute costs can flow through the same x402 payment primitive that governs the Task Market — making the two products mutually reinforcing.
