The application features Web3 browser, Smart Scan transaction analysis, multi-wallet management, and native support for swaps, staking, and DApp connectivity across multiple blockchain networks.
CoolWallet
CoolWallet is a Taiwanese hardware wallet company founded in 2014 that produces credit card-sized cold storage devices for self-custody of cryptocurrency. The company, operating under CoolBitX Technology, reports more than 300,000 users globally and a zero-hacking-incident record since launch.
Form Factor and Product Line
CoolWallet's defining characteristic is physical design: all devices match the dimensions of a standard credit card (85.6 x 53.98 mm) and are thin enough to carry in a wallet. The lineup consists of three models targeting different users:
- CoolWallet Pro — The flagship device. Uses a CC EAL6+ certified secure element, the highest certification level used in e-passports and high-security payment chips. Communicates via end-to-end encrypted Bluetooth with a 10-meter range; there are no exposed USB ports. The battery is a rechargeable 3V lithium-ion cell rated at up to two weeks of use under typical daily conditions and up to three months on standby.
- CoolWallet Go — An entry-level device that uses NFC and requires no battery, intended for users who want cold storage convenience without charging.
- CoolWallet S — The original standard model, positioned for long-term storage.
Security Architecture
Private keys are generated and stored entirely within the device's secure element and are never transmitted over Bluetooth or exposed to internet-connected systems. Cryptographic operations run on-device. Bluetooth pairing uses a password-protected session with a five-attempt lockout to guard against brute-force attacks.
The CoolWallet Pro's CC EAL6+ certification meets the same bar used in financial-grade payment infrastructure and is described by the company as equivalent to FIPS compliance standards used in US military security contexts. The device is also CE and RoHS certified.
Supported Networks
CoolWallet Pro supports 35+ blockchains, including:
- Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana
- BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism
- XRP Ledger, Toncoin, Dogecoin, Cardano, Cosmos, Polkadot, Tron
- Custom EVM-compatible networks
Token support covers ERC-20, BEP-20, TRC-20, and SPL tokens, as well as ERC-721 and ERC-1155 NFTs.
Solana Integration
CoolWallet's Solana support extends beyond simple storage. Users can hold SOL, send and receive, and manage SPL tokens through the companion app. The platform integrates natively with Everstake as the default staking validator, enabling users to stake SOL directly from cold storage without exposing private keys to an internet-connected device. The staking flow is handled inside the CoolWallet App's Marketplace, where users select their SOL amount, review validator details, and confirm the on-chain transaction with a physical button press on the hardware device.
SOL can be acquired inside the app through MoonPay for direct purchases, or swapped from other assets via ChangeHero and Changelly integrations.
CoolWallet App and DeFi Features
The CoolWallet App acts as the interface layer for all device-connected and standalone hot wallet activity. Key capabilities include:
- Staking: Native staking for SOL, ETH, ADA, DOT, ATOM, XTZ, TRX, XRP, and BTC
- Swapping: Integrated crypto-to-crypto exchange
- Web3 browser: WalletConnect-compatible for DeFi protocol access
- NFT management: View and hold NFTs in-wallet
- Doppler Points: A rewards program tied to in-app activity
- Phishing protection: Screens transactions for known malicious addresses
The app manages both the cold wallet (hardware device) and a companion hot wallet within a unified interface. As of mid-2026, the fiat on/off-ramp service within the app was discontinued, with the company directing users to third-party MoonPay and swap integrations for fiat conversion needs.
Recent Additions
CoolWallet has continued expanding its token and chain coverage in 2026. USDD, a decentralized stablecoin issued on TRON, Ethereum, and BNB Chain, was added to the supported asset list in July 2026. RLUSD, the XRP Ledger-native stablecoin from Ripple, was added in May 2026 with a complementary staking guide published on the company blog. Cardano native tokens (beyond ADA itself) have been announced as forthcoming.
Pricing and Availability
CoolWallet Pro is priced in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$4,679) and available through the company's website with free global shipping on orders above $299 USD. Bundle packages are available starting around $199 USD. The company offers a Year of the Horse limited-edition design for the Pro model in 2026.
CoolWallet targets users who want hardware security without bulk — particularly those who move frequently between DeFi activity and cold storage, and need a device that fits naturally alongside payment cards rather than in a dedicated hardware bag. For Solana users specifically, the native Everstake staking integration distinguishes it from hardware wallets that only support SOL storage without in-wallet delegation capability.
