Saga Mobile DAO (SagaDAO) is the on-chain governance community for owners of Solana Mobile hardware, making it the first hardware-gated DAO on Solana. Membership is anchored to physical device ownership through soulbound, non-transferable Genesis NFTs that enforce a strict one-device-one-vote structure, resisting Sybil attacks by requiring an actual device for each governance vote. Proposals, elections, and treasury decisions are conducted through Realms, Solana's native DAO infrastructure, with elected working groups advancing mobile dapp funding, ecosystem grants, and community events. The DAO expanded significantly when the Seeker device launched in August 2025, with pre-orders exceeding 150,000 units across 57 countries, automatically growing SagaDAO's electorate alongside Solana Mobile's hardware distribution. Governance documentation is published as the Codex on Gitbook, and the organization is structured around elected working group leads rather than individual executives, distributing authority across the community's functional areas.

Dework is a Web3-native project management platform built specifically for decentralized autonomous organizations and distributed contributor networks. Launched in November 2021, it combines task and bounty management, Kanban-style boards, and on-chain token payments into a single interface, allowing DAOs to coordinate contributors, assign work, and execute payments without requiring identity verification or traditional payroll systems. The platform supports more than 20 blockchain networks including Solana, and includes gated task claiming based on token holdings or NFT ownership, enabling DAOs to restrict access to trusted community members. Integrations with Discord, GitHub, and Gnosis Safe connect Dework to the infrastructure most DAO contributor communities already use, making it a purpose-built coordination layer for decentralized organizations.

IslandDAO is one of the most operationally active DAOs on Solana, growing out of Dean's List DAO—a community founded in 2022 to provide UX feedback and consulting to ecosystem projects. After formally rebranding in 2024, it evolved into a network state that combines on-chain governance with physical coworking retreats held at international locations like Mykonos, Koh Samui, and Florianopolis. Membership is anchored to a collection of 12 animal-themed NFTs available on Magic Eden, each granting governance rights and event access. The DAO uses Realms for on-chain decision-making and has partners including the Solana Foundation, Metaplex, and MonkeDAO, positioning it as one of Solana's deepest-participation autonomous communities.
