BlockPI

BlockPI is a global distributed Web3 infrastructure provider, delivering RPC services, dedicated node hosting, and validator operations across more than 70 blockchain networks. The project launched in 2021 with a focus on giving developers and dApps a single access point for reliable, low-latency on-chain data, with Solana among its supported networks from early on.

Core Infrastructure

Solana RPC Support

For Solana, BlockPI provides a full JSON-RPC endpoint covering more than 60 standard methods. The supported set spans the main categories used in production Solana applications:

Beyond standard JSON-RPC, BlockPI offers Yellowstone gRPC integration for Solana — a bidirectional streaming connection to the Geyser plugin service. This enables applications to subscribe to real-time blockchain events such as account updates, slot notifications, and transaction confirmations without polling. For applications that need low-latency streaming access to Solana state, Yellowstone gRPC is materially faster than HTTP polling against a standard RPC endpoint.

Service Tiers

BlockPI structures its retail offering around three tiers: a free tier, Pay As You Go, and premium packages. Registered users receive 50 million Request Units (RUs) per month at no cost — a unit of measure BlockPI uses to weight different call types by their computational cost. Paid tiers remove rate ceilings and offer access to archival data, advanced methods (including debug_* and trace_* methods on EVM-compatible chains), an ERC-4337 Bundler service, and MEV protection on supported networks.

For teams with high-volume or latency-critical requirements, BlockPI offers a dedicated node product. Dedicated node configurations provide 10,000+ queries per second (QPS) with no shared-resource contention. Payment is accepted in USDT, USDC, and fiat via Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and UnionPay.

An enterprise tier is available for teams requiring custom node locations, dedicated communication channels on Telegram or Slack, marketing support, and uncapped QPS — terms are negotiated directly with BlockPI.

Node and Validator Operations

Alongside infrastructure-as-a-service, BlockPI operates as an active validator and node operator. The team manages more than 35 validators across networks, with approximately 130 million dollars in staked assets secured. BlockPI serves as an AVS (Actively Validated Service) node operator within the EigenLayer ecosystem, securing more than 10 AVSs. The company cites over six years of combined operational experience running validator infrastructure.

Ecosystem and Partnerships

BlockPI has integrations and active relationships with over 200 Web3 projects, spanning DeFi protocols, wallets, GameFi applications, and centralized exchanges. Noted partners include Chainlink, Particle Network, and Merlin Chain. The cross-chain nature of the service means Solana applications benefit from the same global node fleet shared with Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, zkSync Era, Berachain, and other chains.

The project raised a seed round from 12 investors including CMS Holdings, Continue Capital, and HashKey Capital.
