Tokenized Equity Lending on Solana Hits $51.9M Weekly Record, Led by Kamino and Jupiter
Tokenized equities used as lending collateral on Solana hit a $51.9M weekly record on July 22, with Kamino Finance holding $31M+ and Jupiter Lend $20M.
The value of tokenized stocks held as borrowing collateral in Solana's lending markets reached $51.9 million for the week of July 22, the highest weekly reading on record, per a SolanaFloor report also covered by Crypto Briefing. Kamino Finance KMNO$0.018-1.6% Kamino Finance accounts for more than $31 million of that total; Jupiter JUP$0.196-1.5% Jupiter Lend holds approximately $20 million.
The figure measures tokenized equities locked as collateral to borrow against, not trading volume or total circulating supply. It is a different dimension of the xStocks ecosystem than the headline trading figures: users depositing SPYx, QQQx, NVDAx, TSLAx, and related tokens into lending pools and drawing USDC USDC loans against them.
How Kamino Built Solana's Largest Tokenized Equity Lending Market
Kamino Finance became the first major DeFi lending protocol to accept tokenized equities as collateral when it opened an xStocks market in July 2025. The protocol launched with eight assets: SPYx, QQQx, GOOGLx, APPLx, NVDAx, TSLAx, MSTRx, and HOODx. These are SPL tokens issued by Backed Finance, each backed 1:1 by real shares held by custodians.
Kamino officially confirmed the xStocks market crossed $30 million in total market size approximately one month before this report. By July 16, Superstate's USCC and FWDI tokens alone accounted for more than $17 million in active collateral on Kamino, per a case study Superstate published that day. Institutional issuers are channeling tokenized holdings into Solana lending markets as a distinct use case from trading.
Chainlink Data Streams Handle Off-Hours Equity Pricing
Pricing U.S. equity tokens in a 24/7 DeFi lending environment requires infrastructure designed around market hours, trading halts, and corporate actions. Chainlink Chainlink joined the xStocks Alliance as the official oracle provider, supplying Kamino with Chainlink Data Streams, price feeds aggregated from multiple U.S. equity exchanges at sub-second latency with a real-time market status feed and staleness indicator.
During off-market hours, Kamino applies a price band mechanism that restricts price movements to a defined deviation range from the last official market close. This limits liquidation exposure when equity markets are closed but Solana's network remains active. Borrowers who post tokenized stock collateral remain subject to liquidation risk if collateral values fall through their loan-to-value threshold.
A Distinct Metric from Solana's Trading Volume Records
The weekly $51.9 million collateral total is a different metric from the trading volume figures that have defined Solana's tokenized equity story in 2026. Solana logged more than $10 billion in tokenized stock trading volume in June 2026, capturing approximately 95% of all on-chain equity trading globally that month.
A user depositing TSLAx into Kamino retains economic exposure to the underlying equity while drawing stablecoin liquidity against the position.
Jupiter Lend's ~$20 million in xStocks collateral adds a second major venue to the market Kamino established. That two protocols are independently accumulating tens of millions in the same collateral category points to consistent borrower demand rather than activity concentrated on a single platform.
