Solana Mobile Launches Seeker Connect, a One-Tap 'Connect with Seeker' Wallet SDK for Expo, Kotlin and Web Dapps
Solana Mobile's Seeker Connect SDK is live, giving dapps a one-tap Connect with Seeker button across Expo, Kotlin and web, built on Mobile Wallet Adapter.
Solana Mobile declared Seeker Connect live on 21 October 2026, a software development kit (SDK) that lets Solana apps put a branded "Connect with Seeker" button in front of owners of its Seeker phone. One tap opens the wallet built into the phone, in native Android apps and in mobile web pages alike. "No generic 'Mobile Wallet Adapter' option. No second wallet picker. Just Connect with Seeker," the company wrote in its launch post on X.
The SDK covers three developer stacks: Expo and React Native, native Android in Kotlin, and the web. The web packages have been public since September; the 21 October launch adds the native Android and React Native SDKs, published a day earlier, and brings all three under one name.
How the SDK replaces the generic Mobile Wallet Adapter picker
Seeker Connect is a layer on top of Mobile Wallet Adapter (MWA), the standard Solana apps on Android already use to ask a wallet app on the same phone to approve a connection and sign transactions. Solana Mobile's Seeker Connect documentation calls it "a UX/DX layer, not a protocol reimplementation": the wallet protocol underneath is unchanged, and what changes is what the user sees and how much code the developer writes.
Under plain MWA, a dapp offers a generic "Mobile Wallet Adapter" choice, and Android may then ask the user which installed wallet should handle it. Seeker Connect skips that step by using the MWA specification's Endpoint-specific URI mechanism, an Android App Link that points at one particular wallet, so the request goes straight to the certified device's own wallet. A web package release on 5 October moved first connections to a shared App Link domain, connect.solanamobile.com, so certified wallets open "without displaying a disambiguation dialog."
Returning users skip the prompt too. Per the Seeker Connect quickstart, calling restore() when an app launches "returns the cached authorization without launching the wallet, so a returning user is connected on launch." The first connect() call still opens the wallet for the user's consent. The quickstart also warns developers about one edge case: if a session closes before the wallet answers a sign-and-send request, the SDK reports a session-closed error, but that "does not mean the transaction failed: the wallet may already have submitted it."
Packages for Expo, React Native, Kotlin and web dapps
Each developer stack gets its own package, with requirements set out in the quickstart:
- Expo and React Native:
@solana-mobile/seeker-connect-react-native, a native module over the Android SDK that renders the "Connect with Seeker" button as a native view. It needs Expo SDK 54 or React Native 0.81 or later, and a development build rather than Expo Go. - Kotlin:
com.solanamobile:seeker-connecton Maven Central, with Jetpack Compose UI components. It needs compileSdk 36, Android Gradle plugin 8.9.1 and Kotlin 2.0 or later. - Web:
@solana-mobile/seeker-connect-wallet-standard, an implementation of Wallet Standard (the shared interface web dapps use to discover wallets), installed alongside the@wallet-standard/appand@wallet-standard/featurespackages, plus an imperative web SDK.
New projects can start from three templates in Solana Mobile's solana-mobile create scaffolding tool: expo-kit-minimal, kotlin-compose-minimal and react-kit-shadcn. Developer beeman, one of the listed maintainers of the package on npm, described it in a walkthrough video post as the new SDK "for Expo, Kotlin and the web, with the button, dialogs and session restore built in." All the packages are Apache-2.0 licensed.
Release history: web packages in September, native Android SDK on 20 October
Seeker Connect's web, UI, core and Wallet Standard packages first shipped as version 0.1.0 on 11 September 2026, followed by patch releases on 5 and 8 October. The native Android SDK, its Maven Central publication and the React Native module arrived together in the v0.2.0 release on 20 October, titled "Initial Native SDKs release." Version 0.2.0 is the only Kotlin version in the Maven Central index.
Web dapps could adopt Seeker Connect from September. What the 21 October launch adds is parity for native Android apps and a single, publicly named product across all three stacks.
What it means for Seeker phone owners and other certified devices
For a Seeker owner, the change shows up only once apps adopt it. Solana Mobile's launch post did not name any apps shipping Seeker Connect, so for now the benefit depends on developers choosing to swap their generic MWA button for the branded one, a switch that keeps them on the same MWA protocol underneath.
The documentation's wording is broader than one phone. It describes Seeker Connect as an SDK for connecting to "a certified device's own wallet" and calls Seeker "the first such device." That framing fits Solana Mobile's push beyond its own hardware: on 15 October the company named Ledger its first hardware expansion partner, with the Seeker app preinstalled on the Ledger Atom. Solana Mobile has not said whether Seeker Connect will reach the Atom or which devices will be certified next.
