Pyth Network Reaches 50 Live Indices Spanning Equities, ETFs, Metals, FX, and

Pyth Network PYTH$0.083-4.9% announced on September 21 that 50 Pyth Indices are now live, covering equities, commodities, market indices, ETFs, metals, FX, and pre-IPO assets. The count marks the suite's broadest asset class coverage since it launched in June 2026, when PYTH (PYTH) first offered continuous pricing for oil and metals.
The expansion pulls together asset classes that were previously isolated in separate batches (single-name US equities, sector ETFs, commodity futures, currency pairs, and indicative pre-IPO feeds) into a single continuously priced product suite that runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
What the 50 Pyth Indices Cover
The Pyth Indices product page lists the current suite across five categories: commodities (including WTI and Brent constant-maturity contracts, Henry Hub gas, and copper), US equities (Apple, Amazon, Google, Meta, Coinbase, Palantir, Oracle, Micron, and others), metals (gold and silver spot, copper, 1oz gold), FX (EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY), and equity index futures (e-mini S&P 500, Dow, emerging markets).
ETF-based indices, including EWY (iShares MSCI South Korea) and SOXL and SOXS (Direxion semiconductor), are also in the suite, alongside thematic baskets that Coinbase cbBTC$83,696.16+1.0% uses for its platform: AI10, Defense10, China10, and Tech100. Samsung became the first Korea-listed single-name equity in the suite when it was added in September; the Anthropic and OpenAI pre-IPO price indices went live four days before this announcement.
Each index is a proprietary Pyth construction built on the network's own price feeds and updated continuously. Traditional equity markets close on nights and weekends; these indices price through them.
Equity Perps Volume and the Demand Behind the Expansion
Pyth cited August equity perps volume of $487.3 billion, with 98% of it secured by Pyth feeds. That figure establishes the commercial argument for why the suite is growing: exchanges building perpetual contracts on equities need continuous reference prices, and Pyth's position as the dominant oracle across that volume gives it both the existing relationships and the financial incentive to keep adding names.
Coinbase, Kalshi, Kraken, and OKX are named as active builders on Pyth Indices, according to the September 2 expansion blog post. Kraken launched oil perpetual contracts using Pyth's Brent and WTI constant-maturity indices; Coinbase built thematic equity baskets on top of the single-name feeds.
How the Suite Grew from Zero to 50
The path from zero to 50 unfolded over roughly three months. Pyth launched its first crude oil and FX indices in June 2026, adding FX pairs for EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/JPY alongside them. By July, all 21 indices in the initial suite were live.
The September 2 batch added 12 more: Amazon, Meta, Coinbase, Palantir, Oracle, Samsung, and the three ETF-based indices (EWY, SOXL, SOXS). Six constant-maturity energy futures indices filled out the commodities side. The Anthropic and OpenAI feeds, the first pre-IPO indices in the suite, came on September 17. The 50-count milestone announced September 21 reflects all of those additions as a cumulative total.
The network's August ARR reached $10.4 million, up 39% from July, with Pyth Indices adoption cited as a driver of that growth.
DeFi Protocols Gain a Single Pricing Stack Across Equities, FX, and Commodities
Most oracle products anchor to crypto prices. The Pyth Indices suite is a different product: continuous benchmark prices for assets that already exist in traditional markets, constructed to run on-chain without gaps when legacy venues close. Pre-IPO feeds like Anthropic and OpenAI extend that logic further, into private-market assets that have no continuous traditional price source at all.
For DeFi protocols building derivatives, the practical implication is that a platform can offer perpetual contracts on Samsung, Apple, crude oil, and EUR/USD from the same infrastructure stack, priced through a weekend or a market holiday without a separate reference price solution for each.
Pyth said the suite will keep growing across asset classes, geographies, and product types. No specific additions or timeline were announced.
