Pyth Network Adds 100+ Korean Equities — Samsung, SK Hynix, NAVER, Kakao — to Pyth Pro
Pyth Pro adds Samsung, SK Hynix, NAVER, Kakao, and 100+ South Korean equities through its Asian Equities Package, covering Japan, Hong Kong, and China too.
Pyth Network PYTH$0.039-3.8% confirmed on July 31 that Korean equities are now live on Pyth Pro, the network's institutional market data subscription terminal. The initial roster includes Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, NAVER, Kakao, LG Energy Solution, Krafton, and Hyundai, with more than 100 South Korean price feeds available immediately to subscribers.
The announcement is part of a wider Asian equities launch that also brings Japan, Hong Kong, and mainland China onto the platform in a single push. Japan feeds include Toyota, Sony, Nintendo, SoftBank, Tokyo Electron, Keyence, Hitachi, MUFG, and Fast Retailing. Hong Kong coverage adds Tencent, BYD, and major ETF benchmarks (the ChinaAMC CSI300 and FTSE China A50). Mainland China feeds include Cambricon, GigaDevice, Montage Technology, and CXMT, the memory-chip maker for which Pyth delivered its first day-one Shanghai IPO price feed just days prior. In total, 100-plus feeds are live across all four markets today, with Pyth targeting 450-plus feeds as regional coverage deepens. India is listed as the next market on the roadmap.
What Pyth Pro Delivers
Pyth Pro is Pyth Network's institutional-grade market data subscription. The terminal aggregates real-time prices from major trading firms, exchanges, and banks and delivers them across 3,500-plus feeds covering crypto, equities, FX, commodities, fixed income, and metals.
Existing Pyth Pro subscribers can begin using the Asian equity feeds immediately through the same API integration already delivering US equities distributed via Nasdaq, 24/7 FX indices for EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/JPY, and fixed income data from Fenics, OpenYield, and Tradeweb. No separate regional licenses or additional vendor relationships are required. New subscribers access the Asian Equities Package via the Pyth Terminal at app.pyth.com/plans.
First described at Solana Breakpoint 2025 as a "Spotify-like" subscription for institutional market data, Pyth Pro prices data at a fraction of what legacy providers charge per feed, and hit $1 million in annual recurring revenue within its first month of launch.
Why Korean Equities on a Blockchain Oracle
South Korea's $4 trillion equity market is among the most volatile and closely watched in the world right now. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix together dominate the Kospi by index weight, both central to the global AI chip trade as primary suppliers of the high-bandwidth memory that powers inference at scale. The two stocks recorded nearly 30% single-session gains on July 31, 2026 alone, capping an extended period of sharp volatility tied to shifting AI demand signals.
Having reliable, low-latency price feeds for those names on-chain unlocks financial products that previously required separate data agreements. Perpetual exchanges can offer Samsung or SK Hynix perps alongside crypto pairs, while prediction markets can settle against Korean earnings seasons or Kospi index movements. Tokenized portfolio products gain the ability to reference the semiconductor basket without sourcing individual vendor feeds for each company. Pyth already powers 97.6% of RWA perpetual volume on Solana; Korean equity feeds extend that infrastructure into Asia's most liquid equity markets.
The timing also lands within a broader moment of deepening ties between South Korea and Solana. KSNet, one of Korea's leading payment processors, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Solana Foundation in late July 2026, signaling that institutional-grade Korean financial infrastructure is orienting toward the network. With oracle coverage for Korean equities now live, the data layer required for structured products, perps, or yield instruments referencing Korean names is in place.
Pyth's Expanding Real-World Asset Price Layer
The Asian equities launch accelerates what has become a systematic expansion of Pyth's feed coverage beyond crypto. Over the past 18 months, the network has added US equity data, commodity indices, WTI and Brent crude oil pricing, FX indices, and fixed income feeds from institutional bond desks. Each addition has followed the same logic: bring the price of a traditional asset class on-chain with the same latency and data quality guarantees that built Pyth's position as the leading oracle for RWA perpetuals on Solana.
The 100-plus Asian feeds going live in a single week represent the sharpest single expansion yet. With 450-plus total Asian feeds planned and India's equity market next on the roadmap, the network is building toward comprehensive coverage of every major global equity market, all accessible through a single Pyth Pro subscription and one integration endpoint.
For DeFi protocols and tokenized asset platforms building on Solana, that breadth carries practical value. A platform that wants to offer structured products across Asian semiconductor stocks, a Japanese automotive basket, or Chinese tech names does not need separate data vendor relationships for each region. The Pyth Pro terminal provides the entire cross-regional data layer under one subscription, positioning the network as the price infrastructure layer for what the Solana ecosystem calls the Internet Capital Markets.
