Galaxy Digital Launches Institutional USDC and USDT Vaults on Kamino Finance
Galaxy Curation's USDC and USDT vaults go live on Kamino Finance, bringing the institutional credit standards behind Galaxy's $1.4B loan book to Solana.
Galaxy Digital Galaxy Digital has launched two institutional yield vaults on Kamino Finance KMNO$0.038-4.1% Kamino Finance, applying the credit standards behind its OTC trading and lending business to Solana's largest credit protocol for the first time.
The Galaxy USDC USDC vault and the Galaxy USDT USDT vault are now live on Kamino, managed under Galaxy Curation, the firm's institutional vault product. Galaxy Curation launched on another blockchain in July 2026; the Kamino partnership marks its first deployment on Solana.
Galaxy Curation: Institutional Credit Standards On-Chain
Galaxy Curation applies the collateral standards, exposure limits, and market monitoring used across Galaxy's lending and trading operations directly to on-chain vault strategies. Galaxy reported a $1.4 billion average loan book and 1,741 active trading counterparties in its Q2 2026 financial results. The firm holds over $7 billion in combined assets under management and stake, according to Kamino's launch announcement.
The two vaults carry distinct mandates: the USDC vault targets higher yields through broader collateral exposure and wider market participation, while the USDT vault takes a more capital-preservation approach using selective market exposure to limit drawdown risk. Neither announcement disclosed target yield rates.
Kamino's vault infrastructure gives curators granular control over which markets receive allocations, what the hard exposure caps are, and when those parameters update. Execution and rebalancing are automated on-chain, with every action publicly visible.
Kamino's $21 Billion Credit Record on Solana
Kamino has originated more than $21 billion in on-chain loans across three years in production with no reported bad debt to lenders, as of August 2026. The platform's credit protocol manages a $2 billion AUM credit market and 30 curated vaults with over $550 million in assets deployed, according to Kamino.
Marius Ciubotariu, co-founder of Kamino, said in Galaxy's launch announcement: "Galaxy is bringing the institutional risk framework used across its $1.4 billion average loan book to Kamino."
The Galaxy vaults are the latest institutional partnership on Kamino following the platform's recent $100 million in deposits from Binance Wallet users.
GOFR and Galaxy's Broader On-Chain Finance Push
The Kamino vaults are part of a wider on-chain finance initiative Galaxy announced in July 2026. Alongside Galaxy Curation, the company introduced GOFR, the Galaxy OnChain Financing Rate, a monitoring program tracking on-chain money markets. Kamino is among the markets Galaxy monitors through GOFR, making the platform both a vault deployment venue and a rate reference within Galaxy's institutional financing program.
Galaxy's Q2 2026 Solana research report documented the network's on-chain credit growth; the Kamino launch puts the firm inside that market as a vault curator.
