Zeebit

Zeebit is a fully decentralized, provably fair on-chain casino built on Solana. Unlike crypto-adjacent gambling platforms that settle outcomes off-chain and ask users to trust an operator, Zeebit executes every bet through smart contracts, records every result on-chain, and publishes all the inputs needed to independently verify each game outcome. The pitch is simple: a Web2-smooth experience with genuine Web3 transparency — no house blackbox, no custodial risk.

The Technical Problem Zeebit Had to Solve

Building an interactive casino directly on Solana's L1 exposed a core tension: users expect sub-second game responses, but public blockchain confirmation times and occasional network congestion in 2024 stretched transaction latency to 0.5–1.5 seconds per bet. That is acceptable for a DEX swap but jarring for a game of Crash or Roulette.

Zeebit resolved this with MagicBlock's Ephemeral Rollup architecture. Players deposit funds into a smart contract on Solana mainnet; during gameplay those accounts are delegated to an ephemeral validator that processes bets with real-time speed. When a session ends, the final balance commits back to Solana L1 and payouts settle on-chain. The critical property is that user funds never leave Solana mainnet custody — the rollup only borrows accounts for processing, then returns them. Gameplay feels instantaneous; the settlement trail is permanent and auditable.

Beyond Solana, Zeebit also runs on Sonic Mainnet, an SVM-compatible L2 where players can wager SOL and SONIC tokens. Cross-chain asset movement is handled via Hyperlane bridging.

Games

Zeebit offers twelve original games spanning three categories, all built in-house rather than licensed from third-party providers:

Single-player games: Coin Flip, Plinko, Limbo, Dice, Roulette, Baccarat, Keno, and Wheel.

Interactive games: Tower and Mines — formats where players make sequential decisions, cashing out before busting.

Multiplayer games: Slide, Crash, and Jackpot — shared-session games where multiple players compete simultaneously against the house curve.

On Solana, players wager SOL, USDC, or USDT. Deposits and withdrawals incur a small SOL gas fee; bets themselves are gasless under the MagicBlock rollup model. On Sonic, SOL and SONIC are accepted with modest gas fees (~$0.0001 per action).

Provably Fair Mechanism

Every game outcome is generated using a verifiable random function (VRF) grounded in Ed25519 cryptography. The randomness seed combines four independently verifiable inputs: a client seed supplied by the player, a per-request nonce, an upcoming Solana blockhash, and the provider's secret key (whose paired public key is published on-chain). Anyone can reproduce and verify any historical game result by checking that the provider's public key correctly signed the declared inputs. All components are written to chain, making retroactive manipulation detectable by design.

Zeebro NFT Collection

Zeebit's 3,333 Zeebro PFP NFTs are the revenue-sharing layer of the ecosystem. Staked Zeebros earn from three streams:

  • 10% of platform edge from all wagers, distributed daily through two lotteries: a Trait Lottery (80% of each epoch's pot, allocated by NFT trait rarity) and a Jackpot Lottery (20%, winner-take-all per epoch).
  • 33.3% of NFT marketplace royalties, routed to the staking pool.
  • 100% of unstaking fees, which require a tax of 3.3% of the collection floor price, flowing entirely into the next epoch's prize pool.

Beyond revenue sharing, staked Zeebros unlock enhanced rakeback rates, exclusive leaderboards, early access to new features, and airdrop points multipliers for the forthcoming ZBT token event.

Account Abstraction and the v2 Architecture

Zeebit v2, announced in late 2024, introduced account abstraction to eliminate the signature-per-bet friction that plagued v1. Players establish a "play balance" — a delegate wallet controlled by the browser session — that can approve bets on behalf of the primary wallet without requiring a popup for each transaction. The delegate wallet can only withdraw funds back to the owner's primary wallet, preserving non-custodial security while making rapid-fire gameplay practical without constant interruptions.

The v2 protocol also expanded game counts, added the Sonic network integration, and restructured liquidity pools. As of launch, the platform was operating in Public Alpha with intentionally restricted pool sizes — bet ceilings were kept low pending completion of the v2 smart contract audit. The v1 contracts were audited by Sec3; the v2 audit was listed as an active milestone.

ZBT Token

Zeebit's native $ZBT token had not yet launched as of the most recent public documentation. A portion of total supply is reserved for Zeebro stakers, with allocation multipliers for NFT presale participants based on purchase round and quantity. The token generation event timeline has not been publicly committed to a fixed date. ZBT is expected to introduce additional ecosystem incentives beyond the existing rakeback and lottery mechanisms.

Security Posture

The v1 smart contracts received a formal security audit from Sec3, a specialized Solana security firm. The v2 rewrite carried its own audit as a gating milestone before full liquidity expansion. The non-custodial architecture and on-chain settlement model mean that even in a worst-case scenario, the attack surface is limited to what the smart contracts control — there is no centralized wallet holding player funds.

Current Status

Zeebit operated in Public Alpha on Solana mainnet through late 2024, with the v2 relaunch bringing structural improvements but leaving several features — promotions, referral payouts, rakeback — temporarily disabled pending audit completion. Public-facing blog activity slowed after the October 2024 v2 announcement. The platform website and documentation remain live, and the core on-chain infrastructure continues to function. The project represents one of the more architecturally serious attempts at fully on-chain casino infrastructure on Solana, using Ephemeral Rollups to bridge the gap between blockchain transparency and the responsiveness players expect from gaming applications.
