About

Transit Finance

Transit Finance is a multi-chain DEX aggregator and cross-chain swap platform marketed under the product name Transit Swap. Incubated by TokenPocket, one of the largest multi-chain self-custodial wallets by user base, the platform launched in 2021 with a mission to consolidate fragmented liquidity across blockchain ecosystems into a single trading interface.

Problem It Solves

Decentralized trading across multiple chains requires users to manage separate wallets, bridge interfaces, and DEX frontends for each network, routinely accepting suboptimal pricing and high execution friction. Transit Swap addresses this by aggregating liquidity from over 122 DEX protocols across sixteen blockchains into a single routing engine, finding the most efficient trade path across the full available market depth rather than locking a user into any one venue.

Core Mechanism

Transit Swap's aggregation engine queries liquidity sources across supported networks and splits incoming orders into up to 100 parts, distributing execution across multiple DEXs simultaneously. The routing algorithm computes a dexPath showing proportional allocation and calculates expected output for each sub-route before settlement. This split-routing approach reduces slippage on larger trades and captures more favorable average execution prices compared to single-protocol routing.

For cross-chain swaps, Transit integrates four dedicated bridge protocols, enabling users to move assets between networks within a single transaction without interacting with bridge interfaces directly.

Supported Networks and Assets

Transit Swap operates across sixteen blockchains: Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism, Fantom, Tron, Klaytn, OKExChain, Huobi ECO Chain, Hoo Smart Chain, KuCoin Community Chain, Conflux, Moonbeam, Solana, and Aptos. The platform integrates 122 DEX protocols and provides access to over five million tokens across these networks.

Product Suite

Transit Finance bundles several tools into its interface beyond core token swaps:

  • Swap and Bridge: Same-chain token swapping and cross-chain asset transfers in one interface.
  • Market Analytics: Real-time data on trending tokens, holder distribution, profit/loss tracking, trading volumes, and candlestick charts via TradingView integration.
  • On/Off Ramps: Fiat currency conversion through seven third-party providers.
  • Advanced Trading and Inscription Tool: On-chain trading features and an inscription utility.
  • NFT Tools: An integrated NFT marketplace and design tooling.

Governance and Token Economics

Transit Finance operates under the governance of TPT DAO, the decentralized autonomous organization of the TokenPocket ecosystem. TokenPocket was founded in April 2018. The native token TPT (TokenPocket Token) is central to Transit Swap's fee model: users holding TPT or xTPT, earned by staking TPT, receive proportional discounts on swap fees calibrated to their combined holdings. The Transit Finance Foundation routes 25 percent of Transit Swap's gross income into the TPT DAO treasury, aligning platform revenue with token governance incentives.

Solana Ecosystem Fit

Solana is among the sixteen chains natively supported by Transit Swap. The platform has deployed a dedicated on-chain program (address 5ZKhigaUWXa7GGhae8UdUjJtNJiMBLi3igGVstef3tHf) on Solana Mainnet through which Solana-native swaps route. This gives Transit Swap access to Solana's DEX ecosystem within its broader multi-chain liquidity network, positioning it as an option for Solana users who also hold assets or trade across other chains.

Security History

Transit Finance's most significant security event occurred on October 1, 2022, when an attacker exploited an improper input validation flaw in the aggregator smart contract. The vulnerability resided in the claimTokens function, which used the transferFrom call of token contracts without strict validation, enabling an arbitrary external call that bypassed user intent. Because the contract held standing token approvals from users, the attacker drained approximately 28.9 million dollars from affected wallets without requiring additional user action.

The response involved a cross-firm investigation including PeckShield, SlowMist, Bitrace, and TokenPocket, which identified the attacker's IP address, email, and associated on-chain addresses. The hacker subsequently returned approximately 18.9 million dollars, with a further 246,000 dollars recovered in the following days. Roughly 10 million dollars was transferred to Tornado Cash and was not recovered. The incident drew scrutiny toward audit coverage: Transit Finance cited PeckShield as an auditor of its contracts, but PeckShield stated the exploited contract was not within the scope of its audit engagement.

In May 2026, a separate breach involving a deprecated TRON smart contract from 2022 resulted in a loss of approximately 1.88 million dollars in DAI on Ethereum. Transit Finance stated that its current live platform was unaffected, attributed the breach to the unretired legacy contract, and announced it would compensate affected users in full.

Current Status

As of mid-2026, the Transit Swap trading interface is live at swap.transit.finance and the documentation portal at docs.transit.finance is active. The Solana Mainnet program is classified as live in on-chain taxonomy data. The Medium blog showed bi-weekly operational reports through late 2023 with no more recent blog content identified. The Twitter/X account @TransitFinance returned no recent posts in a recent automated query, suggesting reduced public communications activity while the platform remains technically operational.
