Spectrum Nodes

Spectrum Nodes is a managed RPC (Remote Procedure Call) infrastructure provider that launched in June 2025. The service gives developers, applications, and enterprises instant connectivity to more than 200 blockchain networks—including Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Cosmos—without requiring them to operate their own validator or archive nodes. By handling the infrastructure layer end to end, Spectrum Nodes lets teams focus on building products rather than maintaining uptime, syncing nodes, or troubleshooting chain-specific tooling.

Problem Solved

Running a high-availability, full-archive node for even a single blockchain demands significant hardware, bandwidth, and operational expertise. Multiplied across a multichain stack, self-hosting becomes impractical for most teams. Spectrum Nodes eliminates this burden by exposing all supported networks through a common RPC and WebSocket interface, eliminating per-chain configuration differences and centralizing monitoring in a single dashboard.

How It Works

Spectrum Nodes operates its own bare-metal servers in Tier 3 data centers rather than running on commodity cloud providers. The company designs, installs, and maintains the hardware in-house, using latest-generation servers with custom network tuning and, where the chain requires it, specialized hardware configurations. This physical ownership is central to its reliability story: when widespread cloud outages have affected virtualized infrastructure providers, Spectrum Nodes reported maintaining 100% uptime by absorbing migrating traffic through load-balanced bare-metal capacity.

Each supported network—including Solana mainnet, testnet, and devnet—is available via two node models:

  • Shared nodes: Endpoints on existing shared infrastructure, suited to development and lower-volume workloads.
  • Dedicated nodes: Exclusive bare-metal capacity provisioned for a single customer, with setup completed within 48 business hours.

Requests are routed through globally distributed load balancing, and the platform processes over 1 billion requests per day across all supported chains. Uptime is backed by a 99.982% SLA with continuous 24/7 monitoring.

API Surface

Beyond raw node access, Spectrum Nodes provides a structured API layer that abstracts chain-level complexity. Developers interact through a unified REST and JSON-RPC interface covering more than 60 methods across six API categories:

  • Chain API: Blocks, transactions, contracts, logs, event filters, gas estimates
  • Token API: ERC-20 and equivalent token balances, discovery, transfer histories, approvals
  • NFT API: Collection metadata, ownership records, asset-level detail
  • Portfolio API: Aggregate account balances, ENS resolution
  • Pricing API: Token prices, historical price series, top-token rankings
  • DeFi API: Swap quotes, open positions, perpetual contracts, yield opportunities

A typed TypeScript SDK wraps this interface for teams preferring an idiomatic client over raw HTTP. These enriched APIs are available across 20+ supported chains in addition to the standard JSON-RPC node access available across the full 200+ network catalog. Solana is supported in both the raw RPC tier and the interactive Try-It interface on the Spectrum Nodes website.

Network Coverage

Spectrum Nodes lists 225+ chains in its network catalog, organized into mainnets, testnets, and devnets. The catalog covers major Layer 1 blockchains, Ethereum Layer 2 networks, Cosmos ecosystem chains, and a long-tail of niche and emerging networks that most providers do not support. Credits are consumed proportionally to request weight. Plans at Developer level and above allow top-ups priced between $1.30 and $2.00 per additional 10 million credits depending on tier. All paid plans include access to the full API surface and unlimited endpoint creation. An automatic credit top-up feature prevents service interruption for production workloads. Payment is accepted in both fiat (credit card) and USDC.

Security and Compliance

Spectrum Nodes holds AICPA SOC 2 Type II attestation, covering the security and availability of its infrastructure. Servers are housed in Tier 3 data centers with redundant power, cooling, and connectivity. The company conducts regular penetration testing and operates 24/7 monitoring with a dedicated DevOps team. Customers have direct developer access rather than tiered support queues.

Team Management Features

Teams can distribute endpoint access through sponsored-access codes, enabling controlled onboarding of multiple developers under a single billing account. The dashboard provides per-user usage tracking, per-network and per-method breakdowns, and cost attribution tools designed to help organizations understand and manage spending as usage scales.
