Sharp Trade is a gamified social platform on Solana that lets users predict short-term crypto price movements and trade peer-to-peer options, rewarding engagement through an XP system and revenue-sharing NFTs.

Core Mechanism: Sharp Predictions

The flagship product is Sharp Predictions, a round-based game where participants bet on whether a supported asset's price will rise ("Moon") or fall ("Doom") over one-minute intervals. Each round moves through a prediction phase — where users lock in their call and set their stake — followed by an anticipation phase as the outcome resolves, then a payout distribution.

Prices are sourced in real time from Pyth Network oracles, which Sharp Trade has integrated since the platform's inception to provide low-latency, tamper-resistant data for SOL, BTC, and ETH. Users can verify live oracle values through Pyth's interface or cross-reference on TradingView.

The payout floor is 1.75x the staked amount. Under certain conditions — stakes below 0.05 SOL, or betting on the uncrowded side of a round — payouts can reach 2x to 2.33x. Winnings are distributed proportionally among correct predictors based on their contribution size. When one side of a round lacks sufficient liquidity to guarantee minimum payouts, the house supplements the pool and receives a proportional share of returns for doing so. Winners must manually claim their payout after each round concludes.

Advanced play is possible: users can size up their stake during the prediction phase, simultaneously predict both Moon and Doom in the same round to hedge, or run parallel predictions across different assets.

Sharp Options

The second major product, Sharp Options, is a peer-to-peer options marketplace built on Solana. Contracts are American-style, meaning holders can exercise before expiration rather than only at maturity. The standard term is seven days, with a Pro tier offering 1-, 2-, and 4-week contracts expiring on Fridays.

Pricing is set by market supply and demand rather than a protocol-defined formula — buyers submit orders and sellers match them; when no suitable counterparty exists, traders can post their own orders to attract the other side. This structure positions Sharp Options as a semi-decentralized derivatives venue where the protocol facilitates matching but does not act as the market maker.

Social and Gamification Layer

Sharp Trade layers social mechanics on top of both products. The leaderboard tracks performance across participants, and monthly tournaments distribute prizes to top finishers. Sharp Party is a group prediction mode where hosts invite others to predict together, adding a social dimension to individual rounds.

The Sharp XP system accumulates points from predictions, options activity, and streaks. XP multipliers apply to early supporters and NFT holders: depending on the tier and number of NFTs burned, multipliers range from 1.5x to 5x. The team has indicated that future announcements will assign additional utility to accrued XP, but no specific conversion mechanism had been published as of the most recent documentation.

The platform also supports a $freeUSD in-game token that allows users to participate in free-play mode without risking real assets.

NFT Holder Rewards

Sharp Trader NFTs entitle holders to 60% of the platform's net revenue, distributed equally among all NFTs in circulation. NFTs are grouped in sets of three: completing a set allows holders to reach minimum claimable thresholds three times faster. Holders with fewer than three NFTs still accumulate rewards, just more slowly. To remain eligible, holders must log in monthly and either claim their balance or confirm their active status; unclaimed rewards from inactive wallets are redistributed among engaged participants each month.

Technology Partners

Beyond Pyth for price feeds, the platform lists All Domains (Solana's naming service) as an integration partner. Sharp Trade originally deployed on Eclipse — the Solana Virtual Machine Layer 2 that inherits Ethereum liquidity — allowing predictions denominated in ETH, USDC, freeUSD, and a free mode. Eclipse users required the Backpack wallet and a bridge from Ethereum via app.eclipse.xyz. As of late 2025, the Eclipse deployment was discontinued, with a deadline set for users to claim any remaining balances; the Solana deployment remains the active venue.

Team and Community

The team is pseudonymous in public documentation. Governance and community coordination occurs through a Community Council structure, with public channels on Discord and X (@SharpTradeFi). The platform underwent a rebranding at some point in its history — documentation references both an "origin story" and a "rebranding" section — though the prior name is not specified in available public materials.
