How It Works
The platform operates as a non-custodial bridge that handles currency conversion and last-mile disbursement:
- Top up: A sender loads their reply.cash balance using any supported crypto asset from any of 31 supported blockchains. Solana users can connect Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, or Jupiter wallets directly.
- Privacy top-up: For senders who don't want to link their on-chain identity to the payment, reply.cash offers a private top-up route so recipients cannot trace the source wallet — avoiding inadvertent disclosure of holdings.
- Send: The sender specifies the recipient's mobile money number or bank account. No wallet is required on the recipient's side. Payments can also be initiated via WhatsApp, Telegram, or Twitter, making it accessible even where crypto literacy is low.
- Settlement: reply.cash handles the on-ramp conversion to local fiat and pushes the disbursement through the appropriate mobile money operator or banking rail. Transfers complete in under 60 seconds where the service is live.
Fees run below 2% on all live corridors, competitive with traditional remittance services that typically charge 5–8%.
