What Is PassimPay?

PassimPay is a business-focused cryptocurrency payment gateway that allows merchants, e-commerce stores, and service providers to accept, convert, and distribute digital asset payments. Founded in 2020, the platform is operated by a Canadian-registered entity holding a FINTRAC Money Services Business (MSB) license — a regulatory status that requires mandatory KYC and AML compliance procedures for all account holders. The service describes its model as transparent and low-cost: no subscription fees, no hidden charges, and a 0.5% processing fee on incoming transactions.

PassimPay operates as a custodial intermediary: it receives crypto on behalf of a merchant, optionally converts it to a target asset, then routes it to a designated wallet. The platform self-reports processing over $4 billion in cumulative transaction volume at roughly 750,000 transactions per month, with a claimed 99.99% uptime across more than 530 active merchants.

Blockchain and Asset Support

PassimPay supports more than 74 cryptocurrencies across 18+ blockchains. The supported network list includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tron (TRC20), BNB Smart Chain, Solana, Polygon, Cardano, Ripple (XRP), Dogecoin, Litecoin, and a broad range of altcoins. Solana (SOL) is supported both as a payment denomination and as a settlement network — the platform's blog explicitly announced Solana integration for merchant payments, highlighting its faster transaction speeds and lower fees compared to older networks. PassimPay has also added support for Solana-based tokens, including $SKR, reflecting the growth of Solana's stablecoin and token ecosystem.

How It Works

A merchant integrates PassimPay via one of several methods — API, CMS plugin, hosted invoice, QR code, or a static wallet address — and assigns a receiving asset and a settlement asset. When a customer sends crypto, PassimPay detects and confirms the inbound transaction, optionally converts it to the merchant's preferred coin (such as USDT or USDC), and posts it to the merchant's internal balance for withdrawal.

Automatic Conversion is the platform's core value-add for volatility management. Merchants configure target stablecoins and trigger thresholds; PassimPay executes swaps automatically, shielding the business from price movement between payment receipt and settlement. The 0.2% conversion fee is charged on top of the 0.5% base processing fee when this feature is active.

Transaction Batching reduces on-chain costs for merchants with high payment volume by grouping multiple transactions before broadcasting, useful on chains with per-transaction fixed fees.

Multisender (Mass Payouts) allows businesses to upload a CSV of wallet addresses and amounts, select a token, and execute a batch disbursement in a single action. The company positions this for payroll, affiliate payments, and airdrop distributions. On Tron (TRC20), the company reports reducing its own withdrawal fee to 5 TRX (approximately $1.60 at current rates), framing the feature as a significant cost reduction compared to executing individual transactions.

Regular Payments supports automated, scheduled recurring transfers — intended for subscription-style business models or recurring service fees.

Integration Options

PassimPay publishes official integration libraries and CMS plugins through its GitHub organization (github.com/Passimpay), which maintains 11 repositories. Available integrations include:

  • API wrappers: PHP and Python libraries for custom integration
  • WordPress / WooCommerce: Direct plugin for the most widely deployed CMS
  • PrestaShop: Plugin for the open-source e-commerce platform
  • OpenCart: Plugin for the OpenCart storefront
  • Joomla: CMS plugin for Joomla-based sites
  • Payment invoices: Hosted checkout pages requiring no developer setup
  • QR codes and static addresses: Lightweight options for point-of-sale or simpler use cases

The API-first architecture is documented at passimpay.io/api-doc and targets developers building custom checkout flows, payment confirmations via webhook, and withdrawal automation.

Pricing

PassimPay charges a flat 0.5% fee on accepted payments. Automatic stablecoin conversion adds 0.2%. Account creation and maintenance are free. Network (gas) fees for withdrawals are passed through at cost, though PassimPay states it has optimized its Tron infrastructure to pass a lower fee to users. No monthly subscription or per-API-call fees are advertised.

Compliance and Regulatory Status

PassimPay is registered as a Money Services Business (MSB) with FINTRAC, Canada's financial intelligence unit. This designation requires the company to implement KYC identity verification for account holders and KYB (Know Your Business) checks for merchant accounts, maintain transaction records, and file suspicious transaction reports. The company requires KYC/KYB completion before a merchant account becomes active, which limits pseudonymous usage but positions the platform for businesses that require documented regulatory status in their payment provider.

Team

PassimPay's team members are publicly identifiable through the company's social media. Named representatives include Egor (@EgorPassimPay), Sergey (@SergeyPassimPay), Daria (@Daria_PassimPay), and Irina (@Irina_PassimPay), who are listed as direct points of contact on the company's X posts. Telegram handles for the team are also publicly listed (@sergey_passimpay, @passimpay_daria). The company is active on social media as of July 2026, publishing educational and promotional content weekly.

Solana Relevance

Solana is one of PassimPay's explicitly supported payment networks. Merchants can receive SOL-denominated payments and, optionally, auto-convert to stablecoins such as USDT. PassimPay's blog notes Solana's appeal for payments due to low transaction fees and fast confirmation times relative to older Layer 1 networks. The platform also supports Solana-based tokens and has added assets like $SKR as the Solana ecosystem's stablecoin volume has grown. For businesses seeking a compliant, low-friction gateway to accept Solana payments without operating their own infrastructure, PassimPay is one of the managed custodial options in the market.

Positioning

PassimPay competes in the managed crypto payment gateway category alongside services such as NOWPayments, CoinGate, BitPay, and Cryptomus. Its differentiation claims center on pricing (0.5% vs. competitors it cites at 0.8–1.5%), FINTRAC regulatory status, automatic stablecoin conversion, and an explicit multisender tool. Unlike self-hosted solutions such as BTCPay Server, PassimPay is a hosted, custodial service — the platform holds funds in transit, and merchants depend on PassimPay's infrastructure and solvency for settlement.
