OrbitFlare

OrbitFlare is a Solana infrastructure provider that launched in May 2024 with a focus on the latency-sensitive end of the ecosystem — traders, MEV searchers, sniper bots, and DeFi protocols where milliseconds are measurable edge. Its core proposition is "Shredstream-first" infrastructure: rather than racing to deliver blocks after they are finalized, OrbitFlare pipes raw Solana shreds directly to client servers from validators positioned high in the Turbine propagation tree, before any RPC or gRPC layer sees the data.

What OrbitFlare Offers

The platform organizes its products into three tiers of data freshness, plus supporting services:

RPC Nodes form the most accessible entry point. OrbitFlare operates shared endpoints across eleven global regions — four in North America (Ashburn, New York, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City), five in Europe (Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Dublin, Siauliai), and two in Asia (Tokyo, Singapore) — with a stated average response time under 5ms and a 99.99% uptime SLA. Shared plans run from a free tier at 10 requests per second up to a Pro tier at 600 RPS for $999/month. All paid tiers include archival data access, staked connections for improved transaction propagation, load balancing across nodes, and a devnet endpoint. Dedicated nodes — fully isolated hardware — start at $2,500/month with no RPS ceiling.

gRPC Streaming delivers real-time Solana data to applications that cannot afford to poll over JSON-RPC. OrbitFlare offers two implementations on a single platform:

  • Jetstream is the lower-latency option, built on a shreds-based connection architecture. It delivers a slimmer payload — no inner instructions, no full transaction metadata — optimized for speed at roughly 1,000 transactions per second. The primary audience is HFT systems, market makers, NFT bots, and arbitrage strategies where partial data arriving earlier beats complete data arriving later.

  • Yellowstone follows the Geyser plugin protocol and delivers full data fidelity: inner instructions, complete transaction metadata, and flexible account/program filtering. It is better suited to indexers, analytics platforms, wallet providers, and DeFi protocols that need the complete transaction picture.

Shared gRPC access for either stream starts at $500/month; dedicated gRPC nodes start at $1,800/month.

Shredstream is OrbitFlare's most differentiated product. It bypasses the RPC and gRPC layers entirely, forwarding raw Turbine UDP packets from high-stake validators to a client-configured IP address and UDP port — no middleware, no aggregation, no waiting for block finalization. Forwarding overhead is under 1ms. The service operates across nine regions: four premium (Frankfurt, Amsterdam, New York, London at $1,000/month per slot) and four standard (Tokyo, Dublin, Siauliai, Salt Lake City at $500/month per slot), with Singapore listed as coming soon. Commitment discounts scale from 5% quarterly to 15% annually. This level of data access is squarely aimed at HFT desks, MEV searchers, liquidation engines, and memecoin snipers that benefit from seeing shreds before any block-level abstraction exists.

Apex is OrbitFlare's transaction landing service, designed to improve inclusion rates for time-sensitive transactions by routing through optimized validator connections.

Validator Staking lets users delegate to an OrbitFlare-operated validator running at 5% commission with JITO MEV rewards enabled, offering an estimated 5-7% APY.

OrbitFlare Pass is a limited NFT (95 total minted) that bundles access to all RPC endpoints at 1,500 RPS / 300 TPS, gRPC streaming, and priority support at a stated value of $650/month.

Competitive Positioning

OrbitFlare pitches itself against Helius, Triton, and QuickNode on several dimensions. Pricing is flat-rate with no credit systems or surprise billing — a meaningful difference from providers that charge per compute unit or request batch. Response times are backed by an explicit SLA. The team markets itself as Solana-native, and its blog publishes substantive technical content on Solana internals: shred propagation mechanics, the p-token program upgrade, dual-stream indexer architectures, and hands-on comparisons of competing RPC providers.

Third-party coverage validates active use in the market. In spring 2026, RPC Fast added OrbitFlare as one of four infrastructure partners to its Beam low-latency transaction routing product, alongside Corvus Labs, Astralane, and bloXroute, giving OrbitFlare upstream reach into additional transaction landing pipelines.

Recent Developments

OrbitFlare has been expanding its multi-chain surface. Beyond Solana, the platform has added RPC infrastructure for BNB Chain and Polygon, with plans ranging from free to $499/month. In August 2026, Robinhood Chain support went live publicly following a month-long limited beta — signaling that the platform intends to grow beyond Solana while keeping Solana its primary focus.

On the product side, Jetstream V2 launched in July 2026 with resolved lookup tables, fee payer data, and dynamic filters that no longer require client reconnection on filter changes. The team also published a migration guide in July 2026 responding to Jito's announcement that its competing ShredStream service will shut down on September 5, 2026 — a development that may accelerate adoption of OrbitFlare's own Shredstream product among teams that relied on Jito's offering.
