NEAR Mobile

NEAR Mobile is a non-custodial smartphone wallet and DEX aggregator for the NEAR ecosystem, developed by Peersyst Technology. What started as a purpose-built NEAR Protocol wallet has expanded into a multichain product, letting users swap assets across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP without centralized exchanges or bridges — all powered by NEAR Intents. The project added its own utility token, NPRO, in December 2025.

How It Works

NEAR Mobile runs as a React Native application on iOS and Android. It is non-custodial: private keys are stored encrypted on the user's device. The app's headline capability since March 2025 is cross-chain swaps through NEAR Intents, a NEAR Protocol mechanism that routes intent-based orders across liquidity sources without wrapping assets or sending them through a bridge. A user holding NEAR can swap directly for native Bitcoin, native ETH, or SOL; the settlement happens on the respective chains. Rhea Finance serves as one of the integrated liquidity layers.

For NEAR staking, the app connects users to validators — including NEAR Mobile's own validator — with up to 10% APY. FastAuth, a passkey-based authentication system, lets users create and recover wallets without seed phrases.

NPRO Token

NPRO launched on December 15, 2025 as NEAR Mobile's native utility and rewards token. Total supply is fixed at 10 million tokens, distributed over five years through a bonding-curve emission schedule. Token allocation: 60% staking rewards, 15% treasury, 10% liquidity, 10% marketing, 5% founding team (five-year vest).

The liquidity mechanism uses half of NEAR staking rewards to buy NPRO from the on-chain pool, creating structural buy pressure. A pre-staking campaign ran September–December 2025.

Membership Tiers

NPRO holdings unlock three tiers: Basic (free, two addresses), Ambassador (priority support, DeFi tooling), and Premium (unlimited addresses, swap cashback, governance). Tiers were restructured in July 2026.

Builder: Peersyst Technology

Peersyst Technology is a blockchain software development company headquartered in Spain. The team has contributed FastAuth, One Click Connect, and NEAR Mint to the NEAR ecosystem alongside the wallet itself. The wallet's GitHub repository is open source, written in TypeScript with React Native, showing over 3,400 commits. Partners include NEAR Foundation, Meta Pool, SWEAT, and Rhea Finance. No third-party smart contract audit reports have been publicly disclosed.

Solana Ecosystem Relevance

NEAR Mobile is not a Solana-native product, but NEAR Intents makes Solana a settlement destination for cross-chain swaps originating from NEAR wallets. Users can hold and receive native SOL through NEAR Mobile. As intent-based cross-chain execution matures — a design pattern Solana projects are also pursuing — NEAR Mobile represents one of the more developed consumer-facing implementations of that approach on a non-EVM chain.
